A quiet side of Orlando
from hazelfern
The best thing about the Eo Inn is its location. The neighborhood feels like a neighborhood--an almost-residential ambience with shops and restaurants intermingled with single-family homes and condos, near downtown and a stone's throw from the park. Note that the balconies are more like a long shared porch, separated from each other by curtains. Most of them face a side lot that is shielded from view by trees that abut the balcony, almost like a green wall at the edge of the balcony. At night the front desk is not staffed. Except...

Relaxing and Peaceful Stay
from Myodyssey
It was approximately a year ago that I stayed at the EO Inn, for the May festivities in Orlando. When I went online to look up the Inn I was shocked by the reviews it had received. As a young traveler I have stayed in both hostels and five star hotels internationally, but I remember the EO Inn for many unique reasons. The hotel was intimate and cozy, the service was incredible and competent, the rooms immaculate, the beds very comfortable, and the location ideal, very close to the beautiful Lake Eola where I went jogging in the...

Who cares?
from Ben401
...well, the owners don't seem to care too much. Eo Inn is in a great location and it could be a wonderful place to stay if the owners paid a bit of attention to it. Worn carpets in the hall and stairs. Beds are old and lumpy. How about a towel bar in the bathroom! Not a novel concept. Perhaps the most disappointing part was when I asked the desk attendant for resturant suggestions. The 17 year old just giggled and said "oh, there are lots of them. You'll just have to figure it out. Would you like a phone book?" Some serious...

Loved it

With the exception of uncomfortable mattress this place was great. Charming boutique hotel in a great location apart from the usual tourist locals. Small and personal within walking distance of restuarants and a lovely park with large fountain just across the street. The rooms with verandas are worth the price of the room... plants and ceiling fans and privacy. Beautiful appointments and very nice staff. A wonderful romantic getaway. Have stayed there twice.
Eo Inn, Rip Off Inn
from A TripAdvisor Member
Online, their inn looks like a luxurious hotel. Yes, it had simplistic, simple decor, which was nice to see instead of a normal hotel's patterned carpet and upholsteries, but for the money, it's NOT WORTH IT! The biggest tip off was the size of our room. I originally asked for the standard queen room (no balcony); but I decided on the queen room with a balcony IF the view was better. So we stayed in the queen room with a balcony----what a JOKE. The only thing separating our balcony from our neighbor's balcony was a sheet or shower curtain...

Our 24 hour Innkeeper can be reached anytime for any assistance needed including remote controls not working. Our rates are based on our competitors and our availability. Our king rooms are the rooms with the best view of the park and downtown. The queen rooms with balcony are nice for the extra space it allows our guests to enjoy. The balconies have a very old fashioned setting seperated with curtains instead of walls. Our queen rooms are a bit more designed for the efficient traveler, much like a small European hotel.
I wouldn't recommend it to a friend!

After looking at their website, I expected it to be a really chic hotel with a gorgeous bathroom - but I was very disappointed. As mentioned in some of the previous reviews, the lobby is not staffed after 7pm (4pm on weekends) which I find strange. I will say that we arrived while the desk was staffed, and the clerk was very nice. After checking in, we made our way to our room, which was absolutely tiny! I think it was the smallest room I have stayed in inside the US! The lighting in the room was very dim. I would absolutely not...

We have since updated our web site and other travel sites to better describe the different types of rooms we have and what they offer. The balcony rooms we have are actually very quiet and peaceful. The vacant lot is soon to be come a community garden, hopefully offering our neighbors and guests a lovely view. Our king rooms are the nicest we have offering more space and the lovely bathroom with garden tub. We do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
Some good, some bad
from kylover
Stayed here for a business trip, so I wasn't paying and price was not really a concern for me. I would say that otherwise it is a little pricy, but if you are going for a spa weekend or few days, it would probably be average priced. The room really surprised me, given some of the reviews I read. It was really chic in furnishing and very clean. The bathroom was really cute with a large shower stall and clean floors (I'm one to always look for hairs and dust in corners). They provided some nice little travel size Neutrogena shampoo,...

Definitely not worth the money!!!
from A TripAdvisor Member
This hotel is a joke and definitely not "Orlando's premier boutique hotel" as they advertise themselves to be. The room was cute but pretty small and the communal balcony, which you pay extra for, faces the lovely parking lot! The hotel is not staffed after 7pm so if you arrive after that time you have to check-in yourself (They leave your room key in a lock-box and give you the combintion for it ahead of time). The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the hallway and in the public spa area which is just a few feet...

Overpriced
from reanalyst
The website and description make the EO Inn appear luxurious, and for the price, it should be. It's false advertising. I would recommend staying a few blocks to the west in the Embassy Suites for the same price. And at the Embassy Suites, you'll get coctail hour and breakfast. Or, a block and a half away is the lovely Veranda, which is very nice. The EO Inn's rooms are small, and the lighting in the rooms is poor. The building was a youth hostel prior to becoming the Inn. The front desk is not staffed after 7 pm. This was...

EO INN SPA HAS COCKROACHES!
from A TripAdvisor Member
Arrived for an "invigorating spa day" with my girlfriend. First encounter upon signing in was a roach climbing over her clipboard. This was bad enough, but then the spa director and hotel manager ignored our concern and proceeded to argue with us. We tried to explain that a guest about to spend several hours and (not to mention several hundred dollars),leave their clothing in your lockers might be a tad turned off by sighting a roach first thing. They did not care nor try to allay our concerns. Based on that treatment, we decided to leave. A...
