Stayed in villa No6 (end one next to roundabout with the pool pointing a different way - see googlemaps). Dishwasher, washing machine, full fridge/freezer, oven, toaster, electric hot water, etc. We had 3 bed villa with 4 adults & 2 kids (beds can move about if required). The pool is OK but cold after a while, loungers, patio table and chairs,BBQ (why not vacuum pack your steaks from your local butcher like us!) and good sized sun terrace. We brought out the inside dining table and wooden chairs to eat from (no flying beasties but seen a couple of cockroaches at the start!!!). We had issues with 1 patio door not opening but maint team sorted out. Safe with key is provided. Matagorda and PDC was deserted (got busy for 2010 worldcup footie matches). Good walk along to airport watching the planes arrive. The sun left our terrace about 5pm but upstairs still had the sun. Chinese at the top, dutch place further down, and pizza place at the bottom of the centre are good. Always a stiff breeze to make the schorching sun bearable.

Stayed in Matagorda many times and have passed these villas often. Finally stayed there. Villa No4. Villas are exactly as in pictures. Spacious, clean with everything you need, dishwasher, washing machine, full fridge/freezer, oven, toaster, iron etc. We had 3 bed villa with 4 adults staying plenty of room. The pool is great size with loungers and good sized sun terrace. We had issues with 2 patio doors not locking but within 30 mins after a phone call to Thomas Cook a maintenance man repaired them (at 9pm at night) excellent service! Safe with key is provided. Matagorda and PDC was quiet this year compared to our previous years but we still love going there. Lovely walks along the beach either to the aiport or into PDC (about 35 min walk). Bus top just up road from villas, to Costa Teguise only 5.25e for 2 adults. We always walk to PDC but think only 3-4e in taxi. Great wee bar is Friends in PDC just new this year. Very reasonably priced (1.5 beer, 2e baileys) with footie on and pleasant staff..good snacks also (its beside London Fish and Chip shop which we tried first time ever on holiday and I have to say was very tasty!). Anyway enough about what we did, Matagorda was quiet this year, Chevs bar has closed and the centre was quiet at nights, if you want to have a night out with more nightlife easy enough to head into PDC. We would defo go back to the villas, its fab just coming in and out with snacks and drinks and having your own pool is a bonus! Great wee sun terrace out of master bedroom too. The sun left our terrace about 5,30 but just moved upstairs and the sun was there till it went down! Please email me if any questions..oh like others have said, we booked a room at Costa Sal up the road for 47e for the day we left as you have to vacate the villa at 10am. Oh just remembered too, there's a new restaurant in Matagorda Centre, Jazz Bistro, best fillet steak I've ever had, my husband had the fish of the day and loved it too. The chinese in the middle of the centre is really good too, they'll make dishes more spicy if you ask and free bottle of wine with each meal.

We are just back from a fabulous week at the Villas Jameos in Matagorda. Villa was excellent with great facilities. They are exactly as shown in the brochure. The pool was amazing and we spent every minute we could in there. Beach and shopping/eating square couple of mins walk away - Spar shop has everything you need. Villa was very secure with lockable security grills and a free safe. Bus stop to Puerto del Carmen is opposite the villa, runs frequently and cost 4.60 euros for 4 people. Taxi back for 4 of us cost about the same and taxis really easy to get. Can also get the bus to Costa Teguise opposite the villa - very easy to get about the island. Restaurants in Matagorda were great and we never had a bad meal. Plenty of aircrafts coming and leaving but certainly not noisy enough to spoil things - just interesting to watch. Our children aged 16 and 14 loved this holiday as did we. Peace and quiet in the resort and a chance to get more lively by nipping into Puerto del Carmen for shopping, drinks, great restaurants, minigolf, pool etc. Totally recommend the deep sea fishing excursion on Fishing boat Mizu with skipper Tino. Excellent day out and obtainable from all the excursion shops. On the last day you have to leave villa at 10am so just wander up to the Costa Sal complex 2 mins up the road during the week and you can book an apartment for the last day at 47.50 euros which is great as you get use of all their facilities right up to pickup time outside the hotel at 7.20pm (other than that you can just use their luggage rooms and pool facilities if you don't need a room). Villas Jameos are truly terrific as is Matagorda and we had our best holiday ever. Will be recommending to everyone.

Family of 2adults,2kids 8&12 booked 1 week before and got fab deal.Arrived 10pm by taxi, cost 12 euros but driver did not no where villas were,if say sol lanzarote then it helps which we later found out.Direct wanted to charge £80 for transfers so saved £60 doing it via taxi so beware!first impressions excellent.Paid extra £5o for 2 storey villa, well worth it, my husband and i had top floor via the lovely spiral staircase, excellent size room, nice en-suite large balcony with excellent views.Downstairs 2 good size twin rooms, large living area with double sliding doors and good size kitchen with everything needed for hol, small laundry area to the side which was great. We were in villa 6 on the corner, did not experience any noise from the road small noise from planes but not a problem at all,in fact our 8 yr old son loved it and by the end of the week we were guessing which plane would be next!Never heard any planes at night and were in bed 11ish.Pool excellent cleaned on arrival and twice during our week, maid service not so good, only came once, put in clean towels but only made beds did not change them and mopped floor.Lots of patio space our son played footy and still room for us to sunbathe. We were only ones in 2 storey villas for 5days but still private when had neighbours.Villa overall excellent, quite basic but every thing you need for a great hol,and you get what you pay for.
Short walk to great shopping centre, nice pubs, lovely restaurant called Jazz Bistro, expensive but excellent food and service.Good spar which had everything we needed and uphill back to villa so good exercise!Beach few minute walk, also great, lovely sand, played footy in the evening, kids climbed on rocks and had lots of fun.Took good hour to stroll to Playa del carmen, also lovely beach and lots of shops, cafes etc.Got taxi back and only cost 5 euros.Overall excellent holiday, def go back again would recommend to everyone.Only downside, never saw the rep&was not aware of any welcome meeting, but that would not stop us booking again.

we have just come back from a stay at the villa jameos villa they are really nice villas our was 2 bedroom one downstairs one up each with own bathroom the villa was clean aswel as the pool whitch was a great size. i have a 3 year old and she loved it.. its in a great location just a short walk to the sea front. the only problem was a few nights before we came home we had kids tryig to break in as i was sleeping downstairs with my daughter i herd them so shouted up to the other room and just saw them running off over the wall so nothing was taken but our kitchen window was wide open this put a downer on the holiday not feeling safe at night but we had no other troble and the police were great and to be honest i dont think we had locked the window propley. so i would say as long as you make sure everything is lock and things are put away keep outside lights on you will be fine. also remember that you get crime everywhere so a long as you re carfull you will be fine.we have been going to lanzarote for 16 years and this is the first time we have had trouble. And these villa are really nice..

we too had read the beak in reports even though our holiday company had never heard of any reports, so we also were carefull when we went out by leaving lights on etc. the villa was excellent. we were on the 2 storey ones so had another balcony as well. great views. nice inside, all mod cons etc and very clean. one thing, before you head out for the first time after arriving, make sure your sliding doors are all locked as all ours were not on arrival. the resort centre were the bars and resteraunts are is about a 3 minute walk which is very handy and the beach is about the same. the whole resort has a very nice well back atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. only downside was our rep and the fact they also sent us to the wrong hotel for pick up to go home and they had no where safe for our luggage so we hired a room, and also had to get a taxi to airport as we were as i said at the wrong place due to the rep.
I would highly recommend these villas and resort. cant wait to go back!

We have just returned from Lanzarote and was aware of the break ins reported on various websites. We took basic precautions ie left lights on and blinds down and put valuables in free safe and had no problems. The pool was very cold even though it was 30+ everyday. We ate out most days in Matagorda Square. We had a very peaceful holiday even though it was high season - there was nobody in the villa next door. Flight back was delayed for 3 hrs and wasn't kept informed by holiday reps and inflight food was a disgrace.

Just come back from the jameos villas in matagorda. only stayed 1 week and wish we had stayed for 2. Villas very nice and we had lovely views from the upstairs room and balcony. matagorda was really nice with plenty of restaraunts and bars and was much nicer and cleaner than adjoining puerto del carmen although worth getting a taxi down there to the old town for 4 euros. Right next door to sol lanzrote. If you have kids they will love it. very close to matagorda commercial centre and even closer to beach. good sea views from upstairs. There are 6 villas with an upstairs and these are 3 bedrooms the 2 bedrooms are on 1 floor although these also look very nice. Will definitely go back for 2 weeks next year.

i went away with 12 of my other girlfriends for a celebration holiday and we had read the reviews which made us speculate all the time that we were going to get broken into and all the time we were there it was fine, ok the villas could do with new window security but we were fine, lovely and spacious and a great location near beach and shops and bars!we had a great stay
