Great Hotel, Great Service, Very Clean and will visit again.
Went to the Daniel Hotel a few weeks ago. It was Great. My husband and kids really enjoyed it. Theme nights, pool bar, internet, and all the staff made our holiday.

My friend and I were in desperate need of a break from our busy/stressful jobs. The Hotel Daniel turned out to be a haven for us. The staff are so friendly and made us feel very at home, and there was no pressure to go on trips or to join in any activities laid on at the hotel. Being two females, we wanted a quiet location with restaurants and night light not too far away, which is exactly what we found. My family and I vistited the Daniel Hotel this summer and I have to admit that it was the best holiday I had in long time. From the minute we arrived until the time we left the staff was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The even gave us access to their fridge in the kitchen so we can store our baby's milk. The theme night were great and the food served was excellent. The price of 8 Euros/adult and 4 Euros/child was very just right for us. Everyone we met there seemed to be a regular guest at the hotel. I have been going to the hotel daniel for 8 years now and every year I find people going back year after year also this is the only hotel that is full for the length of the season. This I belive is enough proof that the majority of people love it it is a family hotel where you are not just a room number but able to mix with everyone in the hotel and become one of the family. We've just arrived back from a week at this hotel and wanted to leave a review which would be of use to others. The hotel, while reasonably basic, is very clean, very welcoming and in a great location if you want to get away from it all. Kalathos is a small village with only a handful of bars/tavernas/supermarkets but with the beautiful and larger resort of Lindos only a five minute (and 1 euro) bus journey away, it gives you the best of both worlds - peace and quiet during the day and excellent restaurants and nightlife in the... more

The Hotel Daniel is definitely not a five star accomodation but considering the price it is worth considering. Far from disgusting as a previous writer wrote, it is clean but basic. The grounds are welcoming and the staff is excellent. The breakfast is not inspirational (very simple continental). The VIP rooms are spacious and comfortable. If you're looking for basic B&B accomodation and a base from which to explore the Lindos area then Daniel, in my opinion, fits the bill. I would return!

Not impressed at all, my honest opinion is that this hotel is rubbish. Staff are very kind and helpful but the hotel they work in is disgusting. I would not travel here ever again, even if my life depended on it. This review may sound a bit harsh, but you really cannot understand how crap this hotel really is untill you have been there. All these people rating 5 stars obviously have never been to the hotel, either that or they work for Thomson or the Hotel itself. Completely diabolical. Avoid.

I stayed at this Hotel in June 2005 (booked with Thomson) and to be honest I was quite disappointed. I actually booked this hotel because of the reviews on here, I suppose it just shows you how wrong people can be. The hotel is VERY basic. In your room you have a bed (hard mattress), a wardrobe, a bedside cabinet, and a nice balcony (about the size of the bed). Good hotel, great staff....very basic room for a 5 star hotel. Seemed rather strange to have to pay 40euros just for air conditioning per week. Good location if you want an extremly quiet holiday, not alot near the area but a taxi and bus ride is cheap for Lindos where most of the entertainment and resturants are.
