Athina Apartments

The Athina studios are clean simply furnished apartments conveniently situated for the beach and other facilities. The rooms are basic but well equipped and are typical for a small apartment complex in the Greek Islands. The bathroom did not suffer from some of the plumbing problems we have encountered in other Greek establishments.
Golden Beach is a wonderfully scenic resort with a lovely beach and is an ideal place to come for a get away from it all relaxing holiday. There a very good choice of tavernas and rather than naming the good ones, which there are many, we have identified one to be given a wide berth namely Federas Tavernas. The service here is so bad and rude we complained and were basically told not to bother coming back!
The resort is not really suited to families as there is little for kids to do except the beach nor are there a plethora of music bars. Basically the whole resort is very low key and is best for couples wanting a tranquil relaxed holiday. The only point we found to be annoying was the plague of wasps that inhabit this resort and we did both get stung whilst eating.
