Murraypark Hotel

The hotel itself was lovely but not overly welcoming; it seemed to be more suited for older couples, very quiet.
With three very young children we felt a bit out of place, especially since our room was located next to the dining room.
Our room door opened directly to the dining room, so it was difficult to feel comfortable, being able to hear people dining and worrying also that they could hear our children playing.
Crieff Hydro itself was lovely although the baby pool was far too busy with pool attendants ensuring that children were not diving off the sides. My young babies eyes were red with being splashed constantly.
The pool is too small for the number of guest with the larger pool being much too cold for children.
We ate both at Murraypark and Crieff Hydro, it was not made clear to us that the children's lunches had been included in the price and that our dinner at Murraypark was chargeable, as opposed to Crieff Hydro where the meal is included. Information was lacking.
Our children enjoyed the kids club immensely but I felt the pony ride was well over priced and disappointing.
My children had one turn round the small field, when I asked if they could have another turn I was told no, I would have to book their place again even though there was no-one waiting. It was children who escorted them around, I wasn't overly happy.
Overall, we felt out of place at the Murraypark and wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a family, I would insist on Crieff Hydro itself for a return visit.
