The staff were very friendly and always ready to have a laugh with you. Check in was a bit manic as we arrived in a storm and had to lug our cases down the road as the coach couldn't get that far. There wasn't really enough room for all of us dripping Brits and their luggage but we soon got sorted out and into our rooms.
There was a small lounge and bar and a restaurant onsite. We used the beach bar a lot as it has a lovely shaded area. Ideal for lunch if you are having a day by the pool or on the beach.
Platanias itself was a small busy town with plenty of good restaurants all vying for our custom, and it was good fun trying them all out.
I would recommend this hotel to people who like a quiet holiday with a bit of "something to do” a walk away. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that it would be nice to have more umbrellas round the pool for us fair skinned folk!
