Hotel Betania

I have just come back form this great hotel, i took my boyfriend away for a three day break for his birthday , it cost me £95 for the 3 night that was with breakfast, which was just ideal u got bacon and eggs fresh rolls cereal, toast tea, coffee or juice it was ideal and wat do u expect for the price u pay, well worth the money. yes the rooms are small but they are cleaned everyday with fresh towels and to be fair u dont actually spend long in there and wen u do ur asleep. its only two mins from the beach down a hill so not really suited... more

i stayed here on d 10aug08....it was 40' we had no air-con... there we bin out on the road all day and the smell was coming into our room..the room was tiny...when we had a shower there was water all over the bathroom floor..... most of the staff were not one bit helpful but there was one lovely english man who worked there was a bit helpful.... my friend stayed at the same time and there room was biggerp that mine....i could not wait to leave the place...i will go to this hotel ever again....

This hotel was a great find and was perfect for all of the family. When we arrived we were really pleased with the excellent location (just 4 minutes down a slight hill) to the beautiful beach. We had paid a deposit beforehand and were promptly dealt with regarding room keys etc. The staff were friendly and spoke a good amount of English (some staff being more capable than others). Just returned from Benalmadena, Betania hotel. I must say we were both pleasently supprised, after reading some of the other reviews. We found the hotel clean, tidy & friendy. The pool is small, but nine times out of ten we had it to ourselves. Yes our room was small, but it had everything we needed & it provided a good base for our holiday. The rooms are cleaned every day & we had fresh sheets & towels daily. We stay at hotel Betania for 5 days,the hotel in general look quite cosy and clean,but they give to us was very small room without balcony . We had a problem with the shower but fortunately the guy fix it for us straight away.The breakfast in the morning was poor,I mean there was some eggs and bacon,but because I m italian that's not the kind of food I like to eat in the morning! hotel Betania was very clean and in a great location. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great.. bacon and eggs every morning. The rooms were extremely small and without a balcony. Bathroom was ok with small shower. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels. I would recommend this hotel for a short break due to the room size. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel Betania although I agree the rooms are very small. Apparantly this is because it is a 2 star hotel, apart from this we found the accomodation very clean and decorated in keeping with the Andalucian style. The hotel is located close to both the sea front, excellent for food and bathing, and a fabulous park which is tranquil and beautiful. Many animals wandering free and gorgeous plants. On arrival at the hotel we were allocated our room. The room was not big enough to swing around a cat. We requested another room and were given keys. This room was even smaller!!! Our third room was slightly larger than the other two so we decided to finally accept it. There was no air conditioning, the beds were like something out of the flintstones, the tv, although advertised as being satellite was permanently stuck on cnn news. OK, where to start? Firstly, the Hotel Betania is quite posibly the worst hotel we have ever had the misfortune of staying at, even though we were there for a mere 2 hours (until we found alternative, and considerably better, accommodation). The web pictures and description betray the true nature of the hotel... it's described as attractive...an oasis... and friendly. Absolutely NOT! Stayed at Hotel Betania with my boyfriend for 4 nights in September. We wanted a cheap short break, with good location to beach and nightlife. The hotel is advertised as 2* and was more than we expected. It opened this season and really clean with very heplful reception staff. The Room was standard with tv, and a little balcony with stunning views of beachfront. No air conditioning thou. The pool is on the 3rd floor, its shaded all day so really cold, and quiet small.
