Well where 2 begin?? Me and 2 friends have just returned home from Club Maritim Appartments. We booked an early flight 2 days before we were due to leave because it was so bad!! When i looked at the reviews before i left i thought it was just people moaning that they didnt enjoy their holiday and i choose to ignore them, BIG MISTAKE! Infact they were completely right about the hotel! On arrival it seemed nice, clean, however hotel staff didnt speak much english, which didnt bother me at first. On arrival we asked for things such as a kettle to hire etc from reception as they were not provided in the room, they didnt have any even though there was a sign saying that they provided them. When we went down to the pool it looked nice from a distance, however it was very dirty, and the steps were a safety hazard, i refused to use them! As this is suposed to be a family hotel i was quite shocked, especialy when down the hotel corridors, wires from light switches are exposed. The hot tub they advertise is just for show as it it out of order all the time! On our first night we asked reception to ring a taxi for us, they refused and told us to walk down the road and flag one down. I thought ringing taxis for customers is in their job description? Is it not? Especially since when we tried to ring ourselves they didnt understand us as we couldnt speak spanish. I then asked how to get to the nearest bars around the hotel, they gave me a map of public transport, which was in spanish (completely usless as i do not speak spanish) On the second day my friend had an unfortunate accident at the beach and returned to the hotel after visiting the hospital with a bandage round her leg, to which the reception thought very amusing! We didnt! We then asked to hire crutches since the hospital didnt have any and the pharmacy wasn't open as it was a sunday. Crutches are also advertised on a sign at reception to hire... they didnt have any. On the next day we asked for a taxi to the pharmacy to attempt to get some crutches, the reception staff sighed at me like it was a big effort to ring the taxi and said 'we would prefere it if you walked down the road', to which i replied my friend CANNOT WALK! He then swore at me!!! and reluctantly rang a taxi. On the 3rd day we again asked for a taxi as my friend still struggled on crutches, she stood at the front of the hotel to wait while i asked. The reception staff asked if it was just for me, i said no my friend aswel outside, she asked for my friend to return inside before she rang the taxi, i replied 'she cannot walk very well and we will have to walk back out again when the taxi comes'. To which she then shouted at me and told me that she would not ring a taxi until my friend returned inside. After ringing the taxi we had to wait inside. we also spoke to other customers in the hotel who agreed that the staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. 2 girls lost their room key and when asked for the master key to get in their room the staff said they didnt have a master key (which was strange as the cleaners seemed to get in ok) The staff then opened the door for them by taking it off the hinges, leaving it like this which meant at any time they could get broken into. Another group of girls found a wasp nest on their balcony, when they asked for this to be removed, the hotel staff refused, therefore they could not open their balcony at all. People also had to wait at the reception for hours for a room to become availble as they over booked alot of the time. On one occasion there was a room free next to ours as a group had just left and instead of the cleaners doing their job to prepare it for the next group, i saw them standing around in the corridors chatting. Another group got broken into, although their was no sign of forced entry (maybe the cleaners, you never know). They had all their money stolen and passports, they asked the recpetion to ring the police... they refused telling them to walk to the police station as they didnt have any money for a taxi. We heard about another few break ins, very simular with no forced entry both in our hotel and other hotels owned by GPS. We then decided to get in touch with a rep, as we didnt have one in our hotel we got intouch with the travel agents back at home. A rep then rang me and i explained my number of complaints. She rang the hotel, at first with no reply even though my friend had just walked though reception and the staff were sat at the desk doing nothing. Aparently they spoke very good english to her on the phone but they didnt to us, it felt like they did this on purpose to make things extra difficult for us! They also said that no one had complained of being broken into... complete lies!! By this time we then decided we were not happy and asked to be trasfered onto a different flight to go home early, even though this cost us 240euros each. we didnt care as we just wanted to get out of there for fear of being broken into and for our safety. On checking out i returned our safe key with the letter of deposit, to which the reception staff said i cannot find our copy to give you the deposit back. I said i really dont care any more! ring me a taxi to the airport! he did reluctantly ring a taxi. i am so happy to be back in england! and can safely say that i will never return to a GPS hotel again!!!!!!

FIRSTLY CAN I JUST SAY - TRY SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT ISN'T OWNED BY THE PLAYA SOL GROUP!
We stayed here for the last week in June 2009. Upon arriving it looked nice, pleasant and everyone was smiling, we thought it was going to be very nice - how wrong we was!!
The staff are ignorant, the pool was murky and smelly, the closest thing to food was out of date crisps at the pool bar (which wasn't open 12-3pm) and to say its self catering we had one fork, two spoons, two glasses and a electric hob which didn't work and it was full of drunken local people harrassing all the women.
THE WORST of all somebody came into our room and stole my phone & my husbands clothes. We spoke to a group of young lads in reception and the same to them and a few other rooms close by. I was gob smacked because the almost exact same thing happened to us last september in the Club Monterray which is owned by the same company (and equally as horrible) We can only assume this is the cleaners or its a big scam as they enterred our rooms with a key!!!!!!!
The police eventually came after a few hours with no help from reception and the manager just said its not their fault and that was the end of it.
The only good thing about this hotel is the fact that its near the shops & away from the nightclubs so no problems sleeping....
PLEASE DON'T EVEN STAY HERE IF ITS FREE OF CHARGE.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID..!!!!!!

This apartment was definitely not as was specified, the pictures were nothing at all like the hotel. The place was said to have been refurbished!!! but it wasn't. It stated that there was a bar and restaurant, well the bar was open on one occasion at lunchtime and was very limited as to what you could get. There was NO restaurant at all. The pool areas were dirty, the whole amenities were rundown. The heated Jacuzzi was cold, they were rusty screws sticking out all over it and it was dangerous to climb in and out of, as there was a makeshift step made out of wood which was slippery when it got wet. When we arrived we were given a room which had a leak through the bathroom ceiling, we were then moved to a different room but my parents were then given the room with the leaking ceiling. We paid the 10 Euros for the air conditioning only to find when we returned to the room that night, the air conditioning had leaked. We told reception who then gave us a mop and bucket to clean the water up ourselves they also said they would have it fixed the following morning. We reported it every day but it never got fixed.CVonsidering the rooms were for self catering we only had 2 cups, 1 glass and a couple of forks, we asked for more but they never materialised.
The whole place was overrun with teenagers and groups of young people, coming and going at all hours of the night, screaming, shouting, banging on doors playing loud music at 2,3 4,5 and 6am. It was a nightmare we didn't get any sleep all week.
The maid service was total rubbish, we had our room cleaned once during our stay by the maids. We had to get rid of our own rubbish and resorted to taking the clean towels and bedding from the trolleys in the corridor as otherwise we would not have had any more clean ones during our stay, the rooms should have been cleaned every day as this was stated in reception.
All in all the place was rundown and dirty, and not how it had been made out to be.The hotel is owned by GPS (Grupo Playa Sol) as is most of the hotels in San Antonio Bay. We spoke to some of the British workers who have worked and lived in Ibiza for many years and they stated that since this company had taken over the hotels the area had gone downhill..I had been told that Ibiza was a beautiful place and a must see, I will not be going back, San Antonio and San Antonio Bay are places to avoid, they are dirty, rundown and are what seem to be places for teenagers to drink and party all night and sleep all day as there is nothing else to do. I'm not old I'm in my mid 30's and I like to have a drink and party, but I also wanted to enjoy my holiday, this was difficult with so little sleep because of all the noise at the hotel. All in all AVOID the Club Maritim Aparthotel it is CRAP!!!

DONT STAY HERE!!! the worst place I have ever stayed in my life.
1. The staff were very unfriendly when we arrived at 9.00 am we were told we had to wait half an hour when we went back an hour later they pulled a face and said it would not be ready until 12 as it was getting cleaned. When we finally got our key at 1 we had to ask where to go they never showed us where the safe was or offered any help whatsoever.
2. The room!!!! considering it was self catering there there was no fidge!! No mirrors, the aircon which was paid for didn't work. After going to reception to mention it didn't work the staff snarled and slammed a new remote on the desk we went back and this also didn't work (it was obviously the air con not the remote) when we returned she give us another remote ... four remotes later I insisted she come to the room, not very happy she came and agreed the air con was broke but there was nothing she could do and couldn't return the air con money back. So feeling a little hot we went on to the balcony to discover there were no chairs or table!!
3. Returning to reception again to ask about the broken fridge they come back with a new fridge which also did not work!!
4. Back to reception again and they finally agreed that they would move us to another room after telling us they were all booked up and they only agreed to move us because we wanted to make an official complaint and the manager was there. The other room was better but overall they are all cramped and you couldn't swing a cat in the kitchen.
5. on the last day we handed our safe keys in and were told we would get the deposit back later on when we were going but they took the ticket off us... later on they told us we couldn't have our deposit back because we had no ticket!!!
6. The internet was broken and they would not return our euro's.
7. It is situated at the very end of the bay its quite a way from san antonio and its a bit quieter a bit more for families and children.
Overall this place was awful. I felt a pest having to keep going back to reception but didn't have much choise and I kept hearing everyone else in the hotel commenting on how awful it was... I gather this wont be the first or the last unhappy customer!

Couldn't have picked a worse hotel if we tried!! I feel like I want to write this because others deserve to know and I often use these sites to assess whether I want to book a hotel or not so here goes!!!>>>>>>>We are those noisy revellers who were out late although we did try to keep it down as much as possible!! There weren't any families with children in the hotel so we weren't too disruptive I don't think. (Just as well cos there was nothing much for kids to do!!)It was just as well we were a group of tolerant women because for self catering there was nothing to cater with!! We went across the road to the Casablanca for cheap & cheerful meals. The kitchen units were falling off the walls...there was black mould all over the bath....the shower squirted straight over your head, ...the maids did the best they could with the poor state of repair and kept the beds and towels clean but that is the only positive. The bar man opened the bar if he felt like it so we went to the supermarket and bought anything we wanted to drink. Someone needs to completely refurbish this hotel and employ friendlier staff!! Wouldn't go back and would never recommend it to others!!

I travelled with my partner, my kids aged 4 and 20 months. Firstly when booking their website & tour operator stated that all rooms haves microwave, kettle , toaster. They do not if you wish these you have to hire them. On arrival the hotel did not have our reservation I had my booking confirmation with and they then provided a room. I had asked for a cot when booked, when we requested this it was left outside the room door and it was too big too fit in and had to go back down to reception to ask for someone to come and dismantle it. Oh by the way you may also be under the impression that this accomodation has a lift, it doesnt we had to lift buggies up and down the stairs for 2 weeks. The rooms are clean & tiday but very poor cooking facilities. If you hire the sat tv please note that the only British channel is sky news. You also have to pay £10 euro dep for air conditioning, which the girl at reception will give you a receipt for, again what they dont tell you is that unless you have your receipt upon departure you will not get your £10 Euros back, even though i did not have my reciept I ensured that I got my money back. There is no entertainment at all there is a small bar which closes about 9pm with a happy waiter (not). The main is tiny the website makes it look bigger, if you have kids the kids pool is around the other side, which is usally full off youngsters who have collapsed there from the arrival back from the clubs at 6am in the morning usually about 50 or so revellers will ensure your rise at 6am, so you dont need an alarm clock on holiday, its provided free of charge. The look of the apartment remind of a 1960's british holiday camp. Its actually just a dossing house for those who like to party. If you come home around 12 at night you will be prevented from sleeping from the flow of clubbers leaving for their night out prob to around 3. You will always hear people or the rolling wheels of casing either arriving or departing so a peaceful time will defintely not be guaranteed. We used the baby pool once then decided to use the Costa Sur accross the road which appeared to be better for kids, no kids club with rep just a soft play room & tv room. There is a play ground here which my daughter seem to like, but again if your looking for a family holiday in San Antonio Bay dont stay at the Costa Sur either full of rowdy youngsters 24hr a day. The entertainment in the Costa Sur for kids in a word crap, a foul mouthed, vulgar compere called Jackie from Liverpool starts of the night with not even a kids disco, when any acts come the dancefloor must be kept clear. If you like vulgar entertainment from someone who does really take to kids its a must. There is games room for kids with pool and airhockey etc thats it. So to sum up do not stay at Hotel Club Maritim ( its a mess) or the Costa Sur in San Antonio bay if you are looking for stress free family holiday with great entertaiment for the kids. I would recommend however the Seaview Country Club and the bottom of the long road along the coast, all family orientated great entertainment day & night, kids club creche plently to keeps happy!!!!! I hope that this has been of help if you any questions please email me.

Me, my partner and my daughter of 6 have just got back from a 10 night stay here. overall i would say its a lovely place to stay with lots of bars, cafes and shops just a minute away. It can sometimes be noisy due to the drunken guests coming through the corridors but its not all the time. I would say though that the rooms arent very soundproof and we got woken quite a few times by the corridor door slamming shut. Also, to say it was a self catering apartment, it wasnt! There were 2 hobs, a sink and 1 small cupboard. No utensils were available such as a can opener, etc. Not really enough storage space for 3 for clothes never mind food aswell! Some rooms are spaceous as i found out nosying around the corridor into some rooms. Over the balcony was a building site, was horrible view. I was disgusted to find out that there was no kettle in the room and we had to HIRE ONE FROM THE RECEPTION FOR 12 EUROS! it was cheaper to buy one from the nearby shop. so overall, nice and clean and tidy. the maids dont come every day but was not too bad. a bit cramped with 3 of us in a room. but polite staff and for what we wanted out of a room (just to sleep in basically) we magaged. I would give it a 5/10.

I have just returned from a week's holiday at the Maritim Hotel, in San Antonio Bay.
I couldn't find any reviews on it before I went, so hopefully this will put some minds at rest:
I went all-inclusive with my 4-year-old son, and one of my mates. We really had a great time and my son loved it too.
The rooms are pretty basic, with a couple of single beds and a sofa bed in our studio room. There was a fan which was okay, but if you leave a 10 euro deposit down in the reception, you will get a remote for the air conditioning, which you get back when you had the remote back. Air Con is essential if you are there - just set it to 24o and you'll have no problem sleeping. There are maids who clean the room daily and give you fresh towels. They do a very good job and the rooms were always spotless. There isn't much of a view of anything from any of the rooms that I could see, so don't expect any stunning sunsets!
The food was okay too. You can get a good old fry up in the morning, or go for a continental style breakfast. I must add here, that we were all-inclusive, but we were definitely in the minority here. Most people I spoke to weren't, although every one of them told me that they were going in for their meals and nobody seemed to care if they paid or not! I certainly didn't see any cash registers anywhere! For lunch, there were loads of fruit, chicken, rice, fish, chips and stuff like that. It was edible, but not what I would call delicious. We never ate an evening meal, as its cheap enough to eat out every night. As part of all-inclusive, you can get ice creams and sandwiches all day long.
There are a couple of pools, one for kids (0.50m deep all round) and this is definitely somewhere where you can relax and let the kids enjoys themselves without any worries. It's a good size too. There is another pool for adults, but unfortunately, these aren't situated together, so it's one or the other. The adult pool is 1m at the shallowest and 2.70m at the deepest, so plenty of opportunity to perfect those dives!
There's a basic gym and a sauna in the leisure room, which is situated next to the pool.
Can't think of anything else, apart from to say I had a great time and I would go back. It is situated in a family orientated area of San Antonio (the Bay) so no worries about people dropping pills on the sunbed next to you. It was quiet at night and there was a great family atmosphere at all times, in the hotel and out on the town. There are loads of funfairs dotted along the main street so the kids will be kept busy (if they haven't fallen asleep from all the daytime fun!)
The staff were really friendly at all times, and they seemed to enjoy their work...
I definitely recommended this hotel to anyone, either young people looking for a base for San Antonio and the clubs (it's 10 minutes or 8 euros by taxi, or you can get the boat across for a couple of euros) or for those with a young family.

Words can not describe how unorganised and disrespectful and unhelpful employees at Club Martitim are with holiday makers staying at this complex. I would say do not be fooled by what you see in brochures as in reality this was like living a holiday nightmare, the type of holiday you only EVER hear about. The complex is definatly not suitable for families, as the pool was a complete health and safety hazard with regards to the steps and cleanliness of the pool is not to the standard of what it should have been.
As a self catering holiday, the recption area does list basic appliances/equipment for hire such as kettles. When we asked for a kettle suprise suprise this was none existent. The staff were extremely reluctant to offer any kind of friendly advice such as where/how to travel to different destinations. If you think getting a taxi is easy, then think again from this resort!
When needing advice and guidance there was no rep on the actual island although we booked through a travel company. There was no information present in the reception area or boards with any type of information on to help. But, when eventually speaking to a rep from a completly different resort she helped to solve our problems which resulted us in travelling home earlier than expected!(The rep was most helpful when we got through to somebody, which I am most grateful for.)
I most definatly did not expect to feel insecure and unsafe at this complex, this was an experience which I do not wish any holiday maker to have to go through. Do not stay in GPS chain of accomodation!!
