Kavos Plaza, Kavos, Corfu
Hotel Information
Hotel Class:

Hotel Description:
Near enough to all the wicked action of Kavos - just 500m away - but far enough away that you can sleep off the night before in relative peace, the Kavos Plaza is excellently situated for you to make the most of everything that's on offer. These clean, well run apartments are only 300m from the beach where you will find plenty of watersports on offer if you fancy a change from the scene around the pool. Due to the number of steps, these apartments are unsuitable for the less mobile. loading...

Kavos Plaza Reviews
" Kavos Plaza is everything a hotel in... "

Kavos Plaza is everything a hotel in Kavos should be, the rooms were basic but modern and the room was cleaned every 2 days and sheets changed 3 times in the week. The staff work so hard to remember your name, your drink, where your from and really make the effort to get to know you and help you enjoy your holiday.
Me and a group of friends went down at the start of this season and had a belting holiday in Kavos and the Plaza was a big part of it!
You havent got to be young to enjoy the Plaza you just have to want to enjoy your holiday.

reading the bad review of this place made me sad! i probably had the best week of my life in the kavos plaza! we went as a group of 8 girls and the staff were soo nice, the lady who owned it was are mum for the week! and the rooms were just fine! if ure a group of young lively people then this is probably the best place to stay in kavos as it is good fun with out being dirty and horrible!

I stayed at the plaza back in sept 07 with 2 girlfriends ,i would def have to dis-agree with first comment made about the place.Yes it is basic but are'nt all self catering properties in greece. We enjoyed our stay at the plaza and all the staff were great ,our rooms were cleaned everyday and beds changed every other.cant fault the apts and i have def stayed in much worse.it's the resort itself that is a let down ,kavos has had its day, it's in need of a good clean up and when we went in sept 14th the place was shutting down .There was no night clubs open and alot of the nicer bars had also closed for the winter.and as for the the cockerals there was 2 and the rest of them are chickens ,yes they make some noise but are entertaining to watch as is the little lady who owns them .overall the plaza is clean, comfortable, friendly and just far enough away from the noise of kavos.

" I just wanted to add a review for the... "

I just wanted to add a review for the Kavos Plaza as the previous one doesn't really do it justice!
I went to Kavos and stayed at the Plaza in June 2005 for one week. My friend and I loved it that much we decided to fly back again 2 days later and stayed there for the whole season!
The rooms were clean and comfortable, enough so for a 12 week stay. The shower did flood on occasion, however you'll be hard pushed to find a Greek shower that won't after 2 girls using it for half an hour each!
I actually forgot about the roosters and reading the above review made me laugh out loud! Ah, it's all part of the fun!
I have such fond memories of this place, the food was good, the owner was lovely and we met some great people. It is for the young and lively but that's pretty obvious when you book, you're in Kavos! Great fun!

" Well what can I say apart from this... "

Well what can I say apart from this place is a DUMP! I have just returned from the Kavos Plaza and it is the worst holiday I have been on. The hotel is very basic and doesn't merit the 3 stars that Thomsons have said it is, more like a 1 star.
On arrival at the hotel we were told that the room we would be staying in was a new room, let’s just say I would hate to see the old ones! Our shower did not work and when we got it fixed (after 3 attempts of asking) it flooded the bathroom area and did not have hot water. Bed sheets and towels were only changed once during our 7 night stay (this is the first 3 star apartment I have came across that they don't change the sheets more often) although we were self catering we ate out every morning and evening because the cutlery and cooking facilities were filthy.
The hotel is situated right beside 2 rooster farms with about 20 roosters in each, so needless to say we did not get a good night sleep, although the Thomson’s brochure states that the hotel is situated in a quiet location.
Lucky enough we went at the end of season so the hotel, which worked out good as the hotel is for young and lively travellers (also something that we weren’t told when booking).
If you are thinking about going to this hotel I would strongly recommend that you go somewhere else unless you want a holiday from hell!

the location was good not too far away from the clubs, bars and resturaunts but well within staggering distance. the actual accomadation was cosy, clean, smallish but deffo a friendly family business. we werent told wen we booked it there would be a 20 euro charge for the safety deposit box, which yes you do have to pay. when you having a shower make sure you put the curtain inside the shower not outside also a spare towel comes in handy to put on the floor nxt to it other wise youll be walkin around in puddles of water. Dina is really pushy expescially when it involves the monday night bbq charging you 18 euros a head but they ALL look after ya constantly askin how yas are. she said we was all "princess's" and she was our mum for the week.
deffo go on theo's boat (aka the booze cruise) there two beaches one is ok but the other is crap, covered in seaweed. deffo buy a fly swotter coz pure flies and wosps buzzin round especialy when ya tryin to eat ya fry up in the mornin. protect your orange juice also cover it wid the beer matts coz the wosps love to go swimmin init. when buyin excursions such as AQUALAND buy from the small booking shops down the road its about 20 euros cheaper rather than booking it through the reps they'll rip u off.
we were told the weather in greece will still be good but looking at other reviews before we went it said it rains the most in october. it did rain twice (full days) but all the other time its was quite hot, reached around 30 degrees. when you are buyin your food ALCOHOL look around first because we made the mistake n didnt n noticed the ale we bought was cheaper in most places rather than the supermarket down the road.
