We are 4 person family, going out of the airport hotel's bus was waiting for us, into 10 minutes we were already at the hotel.
Realy kind people and cold beer were there just for us.
That hotel had nice clean rooms and 2 perfect swimming pools, furthermore allways somebody was there to help us whatever we needed.
Thank the people there for their nice behaviour and we recommend it for family vacation.

We have just returned from a week at the Garden Hotel in Rhodes. We booked last minute and didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by Eugene who was very friendly and hospitable throughout the whole visit, not only to us but to everyone at the hotel as was his wife Jenny and their children even though they must have been exhausted with all the early mornings and late nights. All the staff (including Stevo) were brilliant and nothing was any trouble to them. They also interacted with the guests and were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself is lovely, very clean and well cared for. The rooms are fairly spacious and clean with a fridge (and icebox) and kettle. Aircon is a must if you go when it's really hot like we did! The main pool is quite big and apparently the biggest on Rhodes. There is also a large 'baby' pool which has a fountain in the middle, jaccuzi and foot pool. The gardens are immaculately kept by Steve the Gardener who also looks after the hens and cockerills (who by the way doesn't know what time of day it is most of the time, but you easily block the clucking out and don't hear them after the first day). The hotel grows all it's own fruit and veg which Jenny and her team transform into gorgeous meals every day - not to mention the 120 fresh eggs everyday!
The village is a 5 - 10 min walk from the hotel which has a couple of shops, a supermarket and a few bars and restaurants. We went for a 'chill' week and only ventured to the village a couple of times. We mainly eat and stayed at the hotel as the food was good and entertainment was organised by the hotel most nights, which suited us fine.
The only down side is the hotel is fairly close to a main road and, although you don't hear the traffic noise during the day while at the pool, if you sleep with your balcony door open on a night you can hear it. But, if you have aircon, your door is closed and can't hear a thing.
We will certainly return to the Garden Hotel and will be recommending it to our friends and family. Thanks Eugene and Jenny for making us so welcome

Stayed at the Garden Hotel, due to very positive reviews on Trip Advisor site. However, upon arrival found hotel room seem self-catering, with small beds. Hotel is 13kms from Rhodes Town and the bus service is poor with 2-3 hour gaps & can be expensive over a week. Most sea trips to Lindos, & Marmaris, start in Rhodes Town so you would need to catch a 7.15am bus. Breakfast at the Garden Hotel starts at 8am to 10am, so you would miss breakfast, but this is no big thing as will be explained. A continental breakfast consists of 1 white cob with 1 small sachet of butter and jam, and a small cup of tea or coffee. A full English Breakfast is available for an extra 4 Euros. I tried to this expensive option, and to my dismay was given 1 small savloy type sausage, 1 piece of smoked meat, which was not crispy or bacon, 2 fried eggs, and 1 teaspoon of baked beans. After that, I stopped having hotel breakfast and bought coffee, sugar, milk, break, butter meat and cheese to consume in my room. Although staff seem polite they mainly seem to want to maximise profit from guests by wanting them to spend money on overpriced food and drink in the hotel lounge and by the outdoor pool. Although the hotel advertised a day trip to Marmaris with a pick up from the hotel, I was told that I would have to make my own way to the pick up point in Rhodes Town by taxi at a cost of 20 Euros. Largely English guests aged around 50 plus stay at hotel, who are very friend and tend to potter to village centre of Pastina. I was initially puzzled why the only English speaking tv channels happen to be in the hotel lounge, but again suspect this is to general money from food and drink consumed. Ultimately, I would suggest to potential guests to consider staying at a hotel closer to Rhodes Town so that if the services are poor, travel to the sights/ tours will be more user friendly.
- Advice: Beware of what qualifies as a continental breakfast, ie: white cob, small sachet of butter and jam.

On arrival at the hotel both my wife and myself were a little concerned we had booked into a hotel from the past. And altough the Garden Hotel can hardly be called state of the art, we quickly discovered that we had found a gem hidden five minutes drive from the coast. If you dont mind a couple of basic facilities/services (i.e. a very basic breakfast, a wet room for a shower and the need to use either public transport or hire cars to get around) then this is an excellent choice of hotel to rest and recharge. The staff are simply fantastic, run the most part by the family owners and a handful of wonderfully attentive employees. The hotel itself offers the chance to meet some other holiday makers as it is small enough that you cant help but socialise together, however if you wish to keep to yourself it is also ideal for this. The meals are fantastic quality, breakfast can be basic or you can ask for something extra, lunch has a very good selection and the dinners offer a good three course selection changed each day with a couple of options. I really cant say enough good things about this hotel wonderful "quiet" location, great staff, good food, fantastic pool, good excursions run from the hotel at very reasonable prices. All i can say is i have never felt that i will return to a hotel until i stayed here. WONDERFUL HOTEL.

My girlfriend and I spend a week of our vacation at the Garden.
The web page implies that there is a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and back on your departure. Neither was the case...we ended up taking a cab, twice, and paying for it.
Furthermore the bustrips to several locations on the island, which are available, are extremely expensive, so we ended up renting a scooter for 6days, which cost us about 100Euros.
Additionaly, the meals were a joke. Breakfast was always the same dry white bread served with a little butter and always the same strawberry jelly out of plastic and a terrible sweet water with a hint of orange. The quality of the supper was alright, but by far not enough to get saturated and drinks had to be ordered and payed for seperately.
The room was small, but clean, the bed really small and uncomfortable. Every night at around 2 a.m. a cock was cawing and disrupting our sleep.
The hotel itself looks quite nice from the outside with its limetrees and grapevines in the garden. We experienced the staff however as quite unfriendly, with no interest in our activities and our well-being.
The Garden is a good choice if you want to stay at the pool all day long, because it is very isolated. Almost all of the guests were English, so this and a fondness for Bingo and Quiznights as well as paying 4Euros extra each morning for a Full-Englisch breakfast or better said paying extra in general will probably make your stay at the Garden enjoyable!

Very isolated hotel, bus service is one every 3 hours. Hotel is basic but adequate. Continental breakfast is a toasted bun with jam, tea and orange juice, no meats, cheeses, yoghurts, cereals etc, if you want an english breakfast it'll cost you 4euros. Very friendly hosts though and they work very hard. If there are not enough people wanting to go on the trips from the hotel they won't run them, they do say this for 2 of the trips but they won't do any of them if they don't have the numbers, and they don't put the advertised entertainment on either, only 2 quizzes the whole week even thought they advertise greek nights and bbq's, they should say this before you book. This hotel has cockerels that are very noisy especially at 2am!! Pastida is a crossroads with a cafe on it, there is not a lot else there. The boat trips to Simi and Turkey leave Rhodes harbour at 9.30am, you would have to catch the 7.15 am bus from the hotel to get there in time. The bus takes an hour to get to Rhodes as it picks you up in Pastida then goes on to Maritsa to pick up before heading for Rhodes, its only 20 minutes coming back from Rhodes. the Greek people are friendly, helpful and very polite. All in all a nice hotel if you just want to laze around the pool, I was disappointed with the lack of excursions

We have been regular visitors since 1993, and 'chill out' here. What could be easier than a 15 minute transfer from the airport, an informal and relaxing ambience, two delightfully clean swimming pools and friendly patrons. Meals are an option, and we find quite adequate, without the need to go chasing round for restaurants. The village, typically Greek, is also relaxing, and the locals are delighted to see you. We always find Babis and his family very welcoming and always available for your needs. Nice as it is to visit other places, we always find a slot to visit this idyllic place. Neil & Anita Arrowsmith

been to the garden hotel for the last 6 years (my kids would not go anywhere else) If you want a relaxing holiday with no trouble getting a sunbed then this is the place for you, Hotel is cleaned everyday, beer is priced at around £2 a pint (so no complaints there), the hotel is set about 5 minutes walk from Pastida village, the village has numerous taverna`s and bars as well as a very good Italian restaurant, entertainment at the hotel is 5 nights a week and includes karaoke, quiz/bingo nights, Greek night and music nights, the hotel has 2 pools, the main pool is massive and if anything is almost too big for the size of the hotel, the second pool is for children and is again of decent size, the food is excellent and very fresh, eating out in the village is also cheap, take a trip into the adjoining village of Maritsa and enjoy one of their many celebration nights, the hotel itself runs many excursions and are really good value for money, we hired a car for 4 days (cost around £200) and drove to the many many worthwhile places to see, Prosonissi (sp) is an absolute must see place where the Aegean meets the Med.You may find that the cheaper way of booking for this hotel is to book direct with them, and then just find a flight that suits you or your party then e-mail the hotel and tell them when your flight arrives,(they will pick you up from the airport). so on the whole if you are looking to put your feet up for a week or two with absolutely no hassle whatsoever then the Garden hotel is the ideal place to go.
