Gaia Royal Hotel Reviews
" This is a German hotel, full of... "
Submitted By: Mrs C Richardson
This is a German hotel, full of german food and even the entertainment is in german. Our children could not join in with the kids clubs as it was all in german. As for the all inclusive deal, the food was not great to be honest, and not catered towards english people at all. The AI drinks were beer, wine(v bad), ouzo, brandy and soft drinks. We ended up eating and drinking at a great place nextdoor called Bravo Beach. The food was just good fresh food, and the people there are so friendly and very good with children. So if you have already booked, give them a visit nextdoor.....if you are english and thinking of booking I wouldn't bother. Our bathroom was very run down and there is a problem with a bad smell there. On a positive note the staff are lovely especially the waiters/ bar staff. the pools are pretty good too, the kids pool is great.

On another note - at Kos airport on the way back, Olympic holidays seem to control the check in for Monach airlines and though we had booked independently tried to force us back outside to join a queue of 200 people in the blazing sun. We had actually arrived before most of them anyway. Their very rude manager then called airport security to have us evicted outside, which set both our young children crying as they thought we were being arrested. We explained that we had not booked with Olympic holidays and had joined the check in when it had appeared on the board, and as there was no signs prompting us to join a queue outside, we didn't think we had done any wrong. He was quite understanding and let us stay where we were. However there did appear to be a few disgruntled families in the same position and it was quite tense.
