I have just returned back from a holiday in Soldeu over new year. The hotels furnishings and bedroom and general look of the hotel is fine. May I first start and say that the hotel operates on a buffet style dinner bearing this in mind and that its a four star hotel you... more

If you want good quality accommodation at a good price, next to the slopes, you won’t get much better than this hotel. It's literally 50m from the Gondola lift and surrounded by bars, shops and cafes. The rooms were big and well-appointed with TV, coffee making facilities... more

Looks much nicer on the internet than actually is. Staff never cleans common areas, and when you get back to the room after hard day of skiing you find out that the room service forgot to leave any towels in your room... Breakfast is good, but the dinner was awful, one night the waitor almost pushed us out of the empty restaurant for no reason (trying to explain that it was not worth to eat a la carte instead of HB). Spa was very average, and you have to pay extra quite a lot to use it, treatment is difficult to book and once you get it,...

The Piolets park and spa is a different hotel to the piolets hotel. It is situated at the bottom of Soldeu's main street and looks very attractive and modern. I am not disappointed with my stay because in the context of a ski resort the hotel does its job there are just a number of things that i did not like about the running of the hotel and the room. You must pay 12 euros a night if you plan to park a car at the hotel, fine, we did not have a problem but there are a number of signs at the hotel desk that indicate 5nights for 30 euros...

Had a lovely time on our 2nd visit to the Piolets Park & Spa at he bottom of the hill in Soldeu. I don't recognise the hotel from some of the negative reports I've seen here! We stayed in August 2006 and it may be that with fewer guests in the hotel things worked more smoothly than during the winter. The food was great, plenty of choice & all yummy. At altitude there is an issue with food temperature (in Soldeu water boils at 93C!) but the hotel provides microwaves in the dining room to reheat dishes if they are not as piping hot as you...

Stay: Feb 2006, ski holliday, 4 persons The hotel (Hotel Piolets Park & Spa) in Soldeu (Andorra) was not the most expensive of hotels, but certainly it was not cheap. The only way to book (seemingly) was half board, and this proved to be dissapointing. We've stayed in many hotels all over europe (france, italy, austria and switzerland) and all 4 star hotels were vastly superior to the one in Andorra. A wonderful stay and WONDERFUL FOOD too

I, my son and granddaughter of 9 stayed in Piolet´s Park and Spa for one week, from sunday to sunday on HB bases. We found the service and accommodation very adequate. The locasion is exellent especially as we were able to keep our ski equipment in lockers at the gondola lift so we were spared carrying them up the hill, even though it is just a short walk. Comments I have read about this hotel do not do it justice and especially the food as there was new menu with exellent choice of different delicaties every day from the buffet. Thank you...

The Park & Spa is further down the road from the other Piolet hotel in Soldeu. Our room was to a high standard of finish, clean, included a small kitchenette, and with a great view from the balcony over towards the Gondola. The ski rental shop was okay, there was a mix up in the hotel minibus to the lifts when someone else took our skis but the shop just replaced them free of charge. Just returned from a fantastic familiy ski trip to Soldeu.Unfortunately the same can not be said for the Piolets Park and Spa ! The hotel is only a short walk from the main Gondola and is readily accessible to the shops and bars. We had two interconnecting rooms on the top floor which were clean and generally in good condition. The food however was shocking. At best the "hot food" was luke warm and at worst stone cold.Not exactly what you want after a long day on the piste. Our kids 9,10 and 13 used the pool on...

We have just returned from staying at this hotel. It was an incredibly relaxing break. The hotel is excellent and we will stay here again. The rooms are large, clean, attractive, well kept and usually well serviced. The balconies have great views and are a good size. Our room had nice laminate flooring, was well decorated and a very high standard bathroom with an excellent shower over a large bath. i have stayed in many of soldeus hotels, so was realy looking forward to staying at this new spa and luxery hotel. We had asked fo twin rooms for us and our twin girls, but only got one small cramped room, so was not off to a good start. The hotel provides ski hire for its clients, but found them to be rude and made one of our girls cry on the first morning! After a good days skiing we returned to have a spa and swim, only to be charged for using the facillities, some of which were out of use for all of the week and we had to pay for...

Soldeu is a lovely part of Andorra. Great skiing, good for families. If looking for a hotel with character avoid the Piolets Park & Spa. New , modern but NO atmosphere and a 10 min walk from all the other bars and facilities in the area. Food OK but nothing special. If eating out avoid at all costs the Red Dragon chinese - boil in the bag !! not a wok in sight.

hotel piolets was in a great location in soldeu resort and very close to cable car lift to grandvalira ski area. the rooms were adequate and we were fortunate to have piste view from our room. the downside was that the spa facility was an extra cost at 12 pounds per day... more
