The hotel was very clean and the staff excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and spacious with maid service every day.
The bar is 24 hour and cheap, the restaurant had a good selection of meals.
The pool was clean and the beach is a 5 minute walk and is very nice with plenty of water sports available. Although Obzor is only small it just a short bus ride to the larger town of Nessebar or the Sunny Beach resort.
Obzor is a quiet resort those looking for more action would be better going to sunny beach, Obzor is as yet unspoilt, and a lovely resort for those who just want a relaxing break.
Recommended excursion is Khan Tent - 4 course meal and entertainment and the water park.

We went to Obzor and stayed at the Tropicana Hotel. I thought the hotel was very good, it was clean, the food I thought was very good the staff were very helpful even though only about 3 of them could speak English although to be fair I could not speak Bulgarian! Weather was very good; in the 30s.
If you walk up into town cross over the road at the traffic lights and there you will find a Co-op; not English brand Co-op though very cheap in there for Cheetos and water, lager was about 75p for a litre and 96p for twenty cigarettes which you can smoke almost anywhere, the locals have them hanging out of there mouth all over the place.
You can buy a copied t-shirt puma etc for about a fiver but all the shops sell the same things, meals are cheap but make sure that the meat is cooked as I had one or two places that gave me half cooked chicken and pork.
The sea is warm and clear they have bars on the beach very good prices too, most of the people are not that friendly. I must also say that the roads leading up to the hotel are not yet tarmaced still stone, no footpath. Also they all park on the path so you have to walk in the road watch the traffic they don’t care and the last thing is that if you want sea sand and sun it’s a great place. If you want evening entertainment as yet there is none if they get there act together and put some adult stuff on i.e. comedian singer etc it will be a great place.
I took 2000 Lev and I came back with a 1000 Lev ate out everyday and night, spent like a loony but was still a very cheap holiday.

The location of the hotel was also great, overlooking the sea and only a short walk to town, maybe about 10 minutes to the town square.
The resort was also ideal for young families, a park, and plenty of shaded areas. There was a sandy beach with water sports on and a bar for the adults.
This is a smaller resort and a lot of building work was going on so I suspect it will grow, however, the building wasn’t a problem noise wise, and we didn’t get woken by it or anything like that.
