i read a lot of Negative comments regarding this hotel, but i found it to be ok. The rooms are very dated and could do with being done up. The rooms were cleaned everyday and bed changed 3 times clean towels were provided everyday. This hotel really isn't for English it is full of rude and ignorant Polish people at first it annoyed me that they were so rude but after the second day i began to enjoy slagging them off with my friend and giving as good as we got. There was one english family there who we didn't realise were english as they were Muslims we just assumed they were Tunisians. Their children were the most well behaved there didn't barge into you at the pool or anything. The polish are also greedy as well and they snatch plates from your hand practically but a few strong words and the woman backed the hell off. The gardens are nice. Staff are friendly a few of the animation team can be annoying but we made it clear that we weren't interested so they left us alone.

The fitness rooms and spa have recently been done up and i had a lovely facial there and it was very reasonably priced.

Didn't eat at the hotel more than breakfast a few times but the food they served looked ok as far as i could see. However directly over the road is a pizza place with red frontage that serves the best calzone i have ever had for under £2 i think it is quite popular with the locals, so that is a good sign.

Anyway this Hotel isn't all bad. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

P.S the Samara beach is nice also.

We had a wonderful 3 weeks at this hotel. Okay it looked dated (21 years) but it was a very pleasant atmosphere and the staff were excellent. The food was always fresh and in plentiful supply. The sweet counter was magnificent. Judging by the number of people who kept going to the food counters for more they must have thought so too. Not much in the way of english food but hey you can have fish and chips anywhere in England. The waiting on staff were very charming and worked hard at seeing everything was clean and tidy. The bar staff were equally as friendly and the entertainment staff did an excellent job with the children as well as keeping the adults amused around the pool with water polo, aquarobics, table tennis, darts etc.

The rooms were basic but clean, and we only slept there so who needs more.

Visit Porta Kantouia on the little train, and go and see the Painted ladies at the Casino across the road. Both very enjoyable.

All in All a very pleasant stay one which we will be repeating.

Do not go here! this hotel was awful and sold to us as a 4star hotel with lots of facilities, great food and entertainment... none of which are true. this hotel is at best 2 star and has a loud nightclub, that you can hear from you rooms, that plays music untill 4am every night. the rooms have last been updated in 1980 and we found cockroaches on several nights just happily roaming in or bathroom.

the staff are most annoying constantly asking you to play ping pong and then asking for your phone numbers and address. The food is full of thick curries, rice, chips and no international food and no fresh fruit or veg. there is a very cold indoor pool and the finess facilities that they boast about were being done out but it looked like a very small room.

I strongly advise against the Samara Hotel.
