Tossa Beach Hotel

Given this a 3 as my son of 5 did like being in the pool all day although the pool is nowhere big enough for the the size of hotel, also people take there towels down from 7am to get a sun bed, take note the sun is only on one side of the pool in the morning then goes round to the other in the afternoon, food was just about edible ended up going to a couple of restaraunts for tastier food their food was bland, food servings stop at 9pm thereafter if you want a snack you have to pay for it over the bar, never ever have i been to an all-inclusive like this, rooms were clean the bar shuts at 12am which is good enough for a family hotel oh and you had to go inside from 11pm so there was no noise, entertainment team forget it, we only saw them in the evening they danced 6 songs with the children that was it, would never go again......

Great location close to the beach and shops, staff very friendly, food ok very repetitive on the negative side its very noisy walls are very thin can here conversations in the next room extremly clearly with children running around although the hotel did ensure all entertainment in the hotel finished at 12pm. Watch your bags as pick pocket incidences did occur whilst i was there in the grounds of the hotel so be careful!!!

After reading comments it put us of a little bit. We agree the pool is small. We still had alot of fun. Family of 5 - 15, 9, 3 and 2 adults.
Room was small but always clean. Food was nice. Some stuff is repeated but you were never left hungry. You pay for what you get. Plenty to eat throughout the daytime, and was never any que's for sunloungers, restruant or drinks. Kids Reps were brilliant. My 3 & 9 year old boys loved the night entertainment (Mini Disco) & Shows. Staff were friendly.
Definately would go back again. Reps entertained the kids & adult in the pool during the day aswel even though it was small eg Volleyball

as it was the end of our school year we decided to go on holiday. it was the last day of exams when we left and we wouldnt be going back to school/college so we were all very excited. six girls all wearing matching hot pink hoodies with our names on the back and a palm tree on the front left breast labeled; tossa de mar.
we had the most fantastic holiday. i would recomend this place to anyone of any age. its a beautiful town with plenty of bars and restaurants a supermarket and some beautiful views. there is a castle for history buffs and glass bottom boats to take you to the different beaches near by. tossa de mar is a typicaly spanish town that hasnt been taken over by tourists, there are many people from different origins working there and we made lots of friends. because its so small we saw them often. the weather was perfect and we all came back with nice tans.
we took an excursion trip into Barcelona. it was very hot and would have been better if we went on a cooler day. but all in all it was a good day and it only cost us twenty nine euros to get there and back.
the hotel we stayed in was lovely. it was really clean and the staff were very friendly. the younger tour reps showed us round and told us about beach parties ect they were very nice and we made good friends with them when we were out there. the food was okay. it was all inclusive so we weren't expecting much but for what we paid (£280) it ws well worth it. the drinks of course were free too however, the bar closed at 12 so we went out more.
we had the best holiday and we are all considering going back. i would recommend this holiday to anyone. we are all 18 so we went to have fun and we got that. there a few clubs in the town but there not near the hotel, but its not far to walk to them at all. there is also lloret de mar near by which is ment to be a party hot spot. we were told it was full of pick pockets and the men were quite full on so, as we didnt have any boys with us we gave it a miss. but tossa de mar was still fun.
we read some really rubbish reviews before we went and were worried it would be boring, but i had an excellent time. at the end of the day your holiday is what you make of it and theres plenty of things in tossa to keep anyone occupied and having a good time.

Very Disapointed in the holiday regarding level of sound after midnight, talking in room was responded to by a knock on the door by security. not a place to have stayed if celebrating 21st birthday, or stag do! was sorry for people who stayed at hotel who had been told off for level of sound including a lady who there for her 74th birday, she was amazed to have been reported for too much noise!!!
however! perfect for familys and couples who wish to be asleep by midnight. good food! lovely veiws over bay, clean! will never go there again! Spain not for me after such a bad experience!

Just returned from second visit to this hotel, in which we received a much better room (glass balcony side).The bar staff are friendly but do not speak much english so can appear frosty to start with.The rooms are cleaned every day to a good standard and so is the rest of the hotel.The resturant serves good quality food,but a lot of people moaning it was cold (go for your meal when it opens lazy bones).This is a family hotel but hen and stag nights do appear as did two hen nights while we were there. Dont let this put you off once they realise its a family hotel they kind of calm it down The hotel management are very strict now and once its twelve oclock (sshh).The hotel pool is small but good for being able to see little ones are safe,the one across the road(which you can use) is smaller but sun is on it most of the day.The hotel is close to the beach and town (very nice for nanar and gangan to walk to, or take the kids up the castle and catch the train back. There is kids club all ages for daytime stuff and small disco at night. However not much for the adults, singers and the odd theme night (mild) But if the kids are happy Right!

I have just returned from a 4 day stag do to Tossa. The name of the resort is quite apt when it comes to the staff at this hotel. Rude is an understatement. The pool was filthy, the rooms about 20 years out of date. The food was so poor I only ate once at the hotel, but still went down every day to check for improvement. There was none. The management did not seem to understand that providing free booze to its clients would result in some loud behaviour and spent every night phoning and calling on guests in their rooms to complain about the noise. This is a story we heard from many other guests as well as our party. I found this place so poor I was expecting Peter Kay to appear and shout "cut" at any moment. NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
As for the town, a very beautiful, quiet town with lots of bars and restaurants, a large beach and plenty to do. Its also only 20 mins from lloret de mar so if you want a more lively evening (as I did) it doesn't take long to get there.

on going to the tossa beach hotel for a short break was extremely disappointed with the standard of food and overall holiday.the pool area was a lot smaller than it looks on the inernet and the jucuzzi had a strange smell to it and when we aked the hotel staff about it was told that it was probably when the small children had urinated in it!!!!!!!! on our second night there was an incident out side our bedroom door and someone was stabbed! not exactly what we expected.The hotel made no appology to the guests and while asking reception to book a taxi for the return flight was asked for the money for the phone call! i think under the circumstances this would of been free.i would not recommend this hotel to anyone but would recommend the resort it was lovely.

We have just return from a long weekend break and would NOT go to this hotel again. The food was awful, the pool was more like a puddle, which hardly got the sun. Friday night we were woken up by a massive argument which ended up a gent being stabbed outside our bedroom door by his own girlfriend. This resulted in 5 arrests and a hospital trip for the gent. This caused both my wife and myself to feel very unsafe in an enviroment which should be safe and sound. The hotel had groups of lads on tabacco and booze runs who where always swearing even when there were kids about and taking advantage of the all inclusive bar. The rating option is 1-10 so i had to put 1 thats 1 too many in my opinion. The surrounding town and beaches are fantastic though. What was meant to be a relaxing 4 days to celebrate our anniversary was spoilt by the all of the above. At no time did the hotel management offer any apologies for the disturbance.

Just returned from a 5 day stay in Tossa Beach Centre. After reading previous reviews, was a bit dubious about the hotel, but was very pleased.
The Hotel is very modern, and clean, and there is maid service every day.
Staff are extremely friendly and willing to help.
We had to go over to the opposite hotel for our meals - and there was always a good selection of food available. I would advise that you go for you meals no later than 15 mins before they end as staff clear it out pretty quickly.
There are two bars, one of which hosts a quiz at 9pm every night. BE WARNED - if you win, you may be suject to booing by other guests, which we were, over claims of cheating - we won it fair and square! Prize is a bottle of champagne which isnt that special as the drinks were all inclusive, so who knows why they were all kicking off!
The surrounding area is pretty quiet, with one main street full of typical tourist shops and supermarkets. Beachs are clean also, although the sand isnt too good, can just about take a layer of skin off your feet!
If your wanting a lively holiday, I wouldnt really recommend Tossa. There is only one club - which wasnt even open! and there isnt really any bars apart from those in the Hotels. There is entertainment in the evenings in Tossa Beach Hotel, which mainly consisted of Karaoke and a mini disco - but if your drunk on the free alcohol by this point, you wont really care! Also, Llorret is only about 15 mins away which has alot more clubs, and a taxi should cost you about 20 euros. (not 60, like the barman told us)
The walls in the hotel are very thin, so if your a light sleeper - get some ear plugs! And if your noisy people, you may gettin a telling off, in the style of a leaflet under your door containing the Hotels GOLDEN RULES - which we did.
The pool was a bit disappointing as it wasnt that big, but with two to choose from, and the sea about 2 mins down the road, you cant really complain!
I would recommend Tossa Centre Hotel to people who want a short, cheap, chill-out holiday - but if you get bored lounging by the pool all day, your better off staying in Llorret.
Overall - had a really great 5 days, just the right length of time to stay there!!
