We visited this hotel during August 2011. When we arrived, we were put in Lindos Village. Discusting rooms. A balkony you have to share with other people. Strangers. The rooms were smelly, dirty and when we got another room, I had to go back to get the suitcases: THEY WERE... more

Stayed here for 1 week all inclusive at end of May 07 with husband and 12 year old daughter. Excellent hotel. It is very remote (we did know this before we went) and is about 7km from Lindos (which is the best place on the island). You need to get a taxi which costs... more

Fantastic time in the Lindos Royal!
Myself and my partner stayed in the Lindos Royal from 8-15th august and had a wonderful time! The hotel is set about a 10 minute taxi drive from Lindos itself (which comes highly recomended)! but we never found this to be a problem at all. A return taxi will cost you 17 euros and the views in Lindos are well worth it! The hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in, all the public area's were well air conditioned and the food is of as high standard. As with most all inclusive hotels the buffet food is usually served warm however there were microwaves around if anything needed re-heating. The hotel has 3 pools which were beautiful with plently of sunbeds available for everyone, also avaialble in the hotel grounds is a private cove which is stunning, with sunbeds all along the path leading down to it. We had a room with a sea view, and the view was amazing! I would deffinalty reccomend in paying a little bit extra for one of these rooms! The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels etc, the rooms also had a fridge/ cooking area which is also handy! I really can't fault this hotel, the staff were some of the friendliest I have ever met. The entertainment team worked really hard to keep everyone smiling and they do a great job. The drinks were fabulous,(leathal) and nothing was too much hassle for anyone. As a travel agent I can be hard to please, but I had a fantastic time and I really would have no qualms in sending any of my clients to this hotel. p.s -Hi to the English Contingents who made our holiday even better, keep in touch! x
Here's Smiley
Arrived home this morning, went as two families including 5 children, and we are all thoroughly depressed to be back. In fact, we are talking of booking up again next year. Didnt know what to expect as we knew the hotel sat approximately 6 kms from Lindos. Neednt have worried as we spent the majority of the holiday on the complex. On the days we did venture out, Lindos is easy to reach by taxi, only taking 5 mins with plenty of taxis available and all at fixed rates. Lindos itself is brilliant to visit and totaly recommended. Totallly agree with Gaz (were you the one in the Morientes top ??), the entertainment staff were brilliant. All were fun and friendly. Lots of activities during the day and a real effort made in the evening; there was a kids disco every night followed by a variety of different events. These included stage re-inactments of films and shows, pool parties and even limbo dancing. Audience particpation is actively encouraged, even my wife Mary was selected as Miss England and did a great rendition of 'I will survive' ??? Rooms are fine; they are spacious but could do with a little more clothes storage. All inclusive menus were varied and of good quality. The hotel is cosmopolitan and the food reflects this which should suit all tastes. Would recommend this to anyone, including families and couples of all ages. A fantatsic two weeks.
You are the one, you're my number one!!
Just returned to Blighty and already we're depressed. We have just spent a week at the Iberostar Lindos Royal - what a place! Went with my wife and two young kids (4 & 7) and had a fantastic time. The entertainment was wonderful by a fantastic, talented bunch of individuals who were never pushy - if you didn't want to participate, they were equally as nice. The setting is superb with wonderful views day and night. The food was extensive in choice, and high in quality. The friendliness of most of the bar staff and waiteressing staff was very good. There was only one who was a bit moody, but he wasn't Greek. If I was being picky, I would say the accommodation was a little basic for a 4 star, and sometimes the food on the kids buffet was a little cold, although ours always ate from the main buffet anyway. Will definately come back here again. Despite it being a taxi ride to Lindos, there is enough to see and do to mean that you don't need to go their every day - we went twice in a week. Their choice of "holiday song" was great too - we can't stop singing it. All together now..."You are the one, You're my number one....."
Fantastic, Fantastic and Fantastic
I have just returned from a fab 2 week stay at the Lindos Royal and wanted to say just how great the hotel was! Great for families and sun worshippers alike we had great fun with the animation team during their various shows and games. My family feel the same way and we are all sad to be back home.... We stayed in a superior suite with a sea view and accomodation for 4. The food was fantastic and the waiting staff keen to please. The hotel had 3 great swimming pools ideal for kids and adults alike. Access to the beach was easy and took a leisurely 2 min stroll (though you had to pay 8 Euros for the sun beds each day). Diving and water quality were fab so pack your snorkel and flippers, Lilo and water wings. Like I might have said once or twice already we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its facilities. Any bad points? No not really Good points? Loads Once final mention. SouSou, Benjamin, Sanwal, Steffania, Neil, Gabriella, Giovanni, Kye and Aidan- your animation exploits are fondly remembered by us all. Well done team. Steffania? Aqua Gym! SouSou? Hit It! Sanwel? Bring on Antonella! Neil? Keep on trucking you little Monkey! Mike&Chris Kent
Excellent holiday... sad to leave
We have just arrived back from a week at the Iberostar Lindos Royal and was very sad to leave. The location is about 6km from Lindos town itself, but it didn't matter one bit. The hotel over looks a beautiful bay with crystal clear waters, which is no more than a 1 minute walk from the pool area. There is also a shingle beach a short walk away. We had a junior suite with sea view, which had plenty of room, with a living area on the first floor (with two singles beds that acted as the couch) and bedroom area upstairs. The food was good, with a variety to suit even the fussiest eaters. There is plenty to do in the day time, as there is an animation team that cater for all ages - volleyball, water polo, salsa classes etc. Every evening is "Showtime" with some very good acts and music. We were originally staying half board, but decided to upgrade to All Inclusive on arrival, which only cost 18 Euros each per day - it was well worth it. Lindos is a beautiful place with amazing scenery and we are definitely going to visit again and stay at the same hotel. The only complaint I would have is that the air conditioning wasn't that good, but upon speaking to some of the staff, all the rooms are receiving upgrades at the end of the season.
Excellent value for money
We stayed at this hotel in June and found it excellent value for money although we booked ourselves through the web and booked the flights seperately. We had a superior sea view room which was large with stairs down to a living area and then a balcony with a fabulous view of the bay. The food was very good - we even had caviar for lunch one day - and the pasta was never overcooked which is very unusual with a buffet. There was an excellent pool resteraunt open from 10.00 until 18.00 if you could not be bothered changing for lunch. There were even beach towels provided each day The staff could not be more helpful and the animation team were excellent although they never pushed so if you just wanted to lie in the sun they left you alone. They produced a show every night as well The only down thing was the spirits were not brand names and did not taste the way they should but for the price we were not bothered - the wine was good. We took my daughter (20) and her boyfriend and she loved it in fact we will probably go back next year.
Lindos Royal
The hotel was very nice but in our room was extremely hot because the air condition didn't work and we couldn't sleep at night. First night we had a big spider and two cockroaches except these things the room was clean. The pool bar was great, the dinner was awful.
Great Place
I stayed in this hotel from 13.-17. June 2007 and I liked it a lot. Very nice hotel territory, great pools, very friendly staff, good food. Clean rooms, the aircondition worked very well, It could become even too cold. Maybe the rooms and furniture is not very fresh, bet everything is ok and rooms are large. There is no big beach, just a small, rocky bay, but it was very nice to swim there. I preffered it much better than a big beach with a lot of people. The water was not very warm at the sea, about 20 degrees. But I just had to get it and I did not want to get out. But in the pools are very nice swimming possibilites, they are pools with 3 different depth and one for children.
Excellent Hotels for Families in a quiet location
We stayed in this hotel end of May 2007 with my husband and 12 year old daughter. It is in a quiet location about 7km for Lindos (we did know this before we went) and as Lindos is the best place on the island we got a taxi into Lindos every other day (costs about 7 to 10 euros). The food was excellent quality with lots of choice. We stayed all inclusive ultra so some international drinks were included. We had a mini bar in the room so took drinks back to the room to store in mini bar (yes you can get bottled water). Iberostar has just taken over this hotel this season. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the animation team made my daughters holiday (thanks to Neil - Italian and Ben - French). The entertainment was mainly them but we did have a Beatles band one night (adults lovely it). The rooms are cleaned daily and are very large. The hub of this hotel is the beautiful pool area were everything is going on daily. We will be going back hopeful early next year. We booked direct with [--] and flights with xl.com saving £650 from the cost to go with Thomas Cook.
11 days of relaxation in beautiful surroundings
11 day half board holiday was taken in May 2007. The hotel is on a small headland with its own small cove with pebble beach and safe swimming; with a larger beach near-by, if you can be bothered to leave the hotels' own three pools. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets. Breakfast varied from cold meat/salad to corn flakes to fruit salad to bacon/baked beans to toast. Evening meal was starters with a wide choice of salads, cold meat/fish, soup. main course of Greek/Italian choices with choice of vegetables; desert ranged from fruit, fruit salad, Greek "puddings", ice-cream. finally 4 Greek cheeses, olives, bread. The actual food choice was wider than above and of a very high presentation standard. Only a miserable "so & so" wouldn't be satisfied. All the staff were helpful, friendly and were seen to go out of their way on more than one occassion, especially for children.(Dont they ever have a grumpy day?)
