Riu Las Morlas Hotel

I went to this hotel in May 2004 and it was veeerrryy nice!! The first night we got there, we had this BEAUTIFUL room with a very nice view. The first morning we had breakfast (open until 11 am)so we didnt have to rush in.The food was good and fresh and the staff was very nice and smily even with the language barrier... I spent a week at RIU Las Morlas in January 2004 and we had an absolute blast. It is by far the smallest resort I have visited which meant we got to know a ton of people and recognize virtually everybody. The staff (especially Alain and Vladimir) were an absolute hoot and really went out of their way to emsure everybody felt included and welcome. The only problems were the overly bland food (bring a bottle of tabasco!!) and the ridiculous costs for using telephone/internet. My husband and I stayed at Morlas May 29, 2004 for 7 nights. The staff were teriffic entertaining, friendly, accomodating. The beach was the best, miles of white sand and clean! The rooms were adaquete, two beds pulled together for a king, only found one roach, pretty good for a country with very high humidity. The bathroom was clen though not spacious. Clean towels and toilet paper were always on hand. The mini bar was a problem, to be filled every second day with 1.5 ltr water, 2 cola, 2 beer was only filled twice... more

I have done alot of travels in the past....but the Riu La Morlas was by far the best place I have ever stayed. When you see Juan the bell boy tell him Adriano says hi.

Had a fantastic time (2 weeks) at the Riu Las Morlas resort. The resort is beautiful yet fairly small which means everything (beach, buffets, bars, swiiming pool and rooms) are all in close proximity of each other, which is great. With only about 143 rooms available at this resort, you really get to know most of the people at the resort, giving it a sense of a friendly, community atmosphere. The beach is simply amazing! Hi, The Riu Las Morlas, is not a good hotel. The food es very ordinary, the service is very bas and the people they have never smile.

My Husband and I spent our Honeymoon at the Riu Las Morlas, and we thought it was wonderful.. Reading all the previous posts about Alexis and Alian confirm what great people they are! They always went out of their way to provide us with great service, and we ended up establishing a great relationship with them ~ as well as other staff members! I got back from my trip last week. I had a great time. I had only been to 1 other all inclusive resort in the Dominican (which happened to be another RIU hotel) and this one was better in a lot of respects. This place has sold me on small resorts. I liked meeting the few people there and playing games with them and going out. I went with 3 of my friends and the people we met there were a lot of fun. I enjoyed the fact that the bartenders knew who you were and knew what you wanted to drink...they were friendly and always had a smile... more
