Divani Corfu Palace Hotel

We looked at the Trip Advisor reviews for Divani Corfu Palace before deciding to book here. We don't want to be too repetitive, since we concur with many of the comments. The hotel is spacious, modern, clean and well-staffed. It is not ultra fancy or deluxe, but then you are not paying those kind of prices either. The room was well air-conditioned, which became one of our key criteria for judging a hotel during our trip to Greece. We've just returned from a last minute booking with Olympic Holidays to the Divani Corfu Palace Hotel. The hotel itself is very nice and probably worthy of it's 4 star rating considering it's location. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. This was my first trip to Greece and I just couldn't imagine ever getting to grips with the language at short notice. Grabbed a last-minute cheapie from Olympic Holidays, for a fortnight at this place, last summer. School summer hols time, so last week July/first week August. Wondered why it was so cheap at £1900 for a family of four in two rooms: proximity to the airport and lack of a beach (it's on a promontory hilltop!) seemed to be the answer. But, but but.... the aircraft noise doesn't intrude because you're actually way above them as they land and take off. You're just not in the noise 'footprint'. It's weird. Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Divani Palce Hotel in Corfu. Lovely hotel and all the staff are helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfasts. The only down side lots of coach parties comming and going and reserved signs put on table for them in dining room - this limits the non smoking tables available. Rooms comfortable and clean the fridge is a boon. Only 3 tavernas within walking distance of hotel so as we were on bed and breakfast only they got pretty boring - didn't always feel like going back into Corfu town on the bus... more

Stayed at the Divani for 2 weeks in September 2005. The staff are very friendly and particularly reception staff are very helpful. English spoken by all waiting, bar and reception staff but they did appreciate a little Greek in return. Breakfasts were consistently good, although the coffee was not the best I have tasted. They stop serving breakfast at 10am which means the buffet is cleared so if the night was a late one you may have to use room service. We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Divani Palace and have had a great time. The hotel is lovely, the food is very good and the staff are really nice. It couldn't have been better!!

just got back today from staying at the Divani Palace and had a great time. The hotel is of a very high standard we stayed for 2 weeks on half board - food very good. I would recommend hiring a car which we did for 7 days to explore the island. The buses are good too, we visited the aqua park getting the bus first to Corfu town then the No. 8 to the park less than 4 euros each and the buses were on time !!! OK you have got the planes but you soon get used to them and its worth going to the bar overlooking Mouse Island at night just... more

Unfortunately we only stayed here for 2 nights as we were on our way to the north west of Corfu to see friends. However, it was an exceptionally pleasurable stay and although we could see the planes take off and land from our room, the planes were not at all obtrusive - or more importantly noisy. Rooms are modern, all the staff are superb (Yeia sas to the wonderful Receptionists and Haris the poolside barman), the air conditioning is fabulous, the TV not only worked but had a good selection of channels and there was a great choice of... more

Just returned from a 14 day holiday. The hotel cannot be faulted for its service or staff. It's situation makes it difficult for anyone with walking difficulties, use of taxis or a hire car is recommended. Although the sea facing rooms face the main runway of Corfu Airport since you are not directly under the flightpath this is rarely obtrusive. The standard of the buffet meals is excellent and not repetative.

We have just returned from Corfu staying at the Divani Palace hotel for 7 nights. The hotel is excellent, the rooms are very good,spacious and very clean, the breakfast is a buffet and hard to beat and the hotel pool is very good.(all the staff are friendly and helpful) The hotel is situated about 20-25 mins walk into the old town, but is served by a very reliable bus service, just outside the hotel which, for 65 cents will take you into the town of Corfu in about 6-7 mins (depending on traffic).Corfu is a lovely old town and a great... more
