this is the 2nd year iv stayed here and enjoyed every moment of it ,yer its a bit noisy at nite, noise from the europa but thats holidays for you, we had a free nite round the bar with quizzes, bingo and singing and a lovely free meal which was devine. room was nice n clean... more

had a fantastic weeks holiday in may. rooms are basic , very clean and helpful staff. great value for money booked with thomas cook 560 for 2ad + 2 kids. lovely clean pool area with a snack bar. excelent location just accross road from the europa centre!! booked to go back again this year!! would recomend these apartments to anyone .

We have just got back from a wonderful holiday at The Sol Y Paz, Hayley and her staff were so friendly and the complex was very clean.

I stayed at Sol Y Paz got there 9.30 pm hayley the owner was so helpful.went down to bar happy hour 9.30- 10.30 yipee! cheap drinks food reasonable Pat & Vera were really friendly the maid changed my towels every other day.appartments clean just over the road from Europa... more

Just returned from Sol after spending a great week there. 1st impression when opening the apartment door was the smell of bleach--- a nice sign of cleanliness. The rooms are clean tidy and in some peoples eyes basic , but hey your not spending that much time in them but they do have everything you will need including towels that are changed regularly. We have just returned from Sol y Paz and had a wonderful time. We travelled as a party of 5 adults and 2 children (a son aged 2 and a daughter aged 4 months). The apartments were ideal for families with young children, with there being only 40 apartments it was small, safe and very friendly. Our son was able to run around without disturbing others and we were able to rest with him safe. The food in the bar was excellent value and could not be faulted, the home-made Mojo sauce was outstanding and must be sampled. A free BBQ... more

stayed here for two weeks on the recommendation of the reviews written and can say we were not dissapointed , although very basic the apartments were very clean the staff more than happy to help if required , being a small place every one quickly became friends close to all the bars and resturants taxis and bus were outside complex and cheap to use free bbq on tuesday nights with entertainment

My partner and i were booked into Sol Y Paz with my 8 year old son when the holiday we wanted was not available. We read the reviews and it sounded good. It was better than the reviews. The weather was better than forecast. It was about 24-26 degrees every day. If we needed our towels changing we just left them outside and the girls brought new ones so that wasn't a problem. The owner- Hayley- was lovely. The food was good and we were right across the road from all the shops and bars. The rooms are basic but clean. Who wants... more
Heat treatment at the Sol y Paz from RGuin
Stayed at the Sol y Paz in Oct 2007 having been redirected from our chosen apartment. Overall it was a good swap. Despite being at the top of the hilly resort, the complex was low rise & good for wife with walking difficulties. We were not looking for luxury, but this was very comfortable, despite the incessant DJ from the Eden at the rear. A great family-run complex. We'd love to go again, but can't get a booking. How did others book?

As with the other reviews, excellent place to stay, Towels changed once, had same bed sheets the whole week, that would be the only complaint. Owner very helpful, apartments very clean. In house food good. There was a free BBQ at the end of the week but we missed it and apparently was very good. Our complex was quiet. Not much noise from the other hotel although any noise finishes at 12mn. No Curfew. Each apartment has a security safe at a very reasonable price, well worth the purchase. Like all the other reviews before we took a gamble on staying here. There were no photos on any website but the reviews were quite good. For those travelling to Puerto Rico all accommodation is basic. The Sol y Paz is located on the top level beside the Europa shopping complex. No shortage of bars & restaurants. The BARBACOA is pretty good for food & entertainment. Taxi rank at the front gate and a pretty cool crazy golf course for a good laugh. Not the place for a quiet break from RemyMartin
Sol y Paz translates as "Sun and Peace". Unfortunately there wasn't very much of either during our stay. OK, so the apartments can't be blamed for the changeable weather, but there were some other problems. After we returned home we were surprised to find out from one of the other reviews that the apartments have only been open for a matter of months. I booked a late get away for myself and my partner. I took a chance on the Sol Y Paz... it was rated a 2 star and there was no pictures of the hotel on the internet and very few reviews!!! For £200 each i thought it was a bargin and worth taking a risk. On arrival the apartments looked great... quickly checked in and went check out our apartment.....had excellent kitchen, space and a nice bathroom with a shower. I' ve just returned from a week at the Sol Y Paz apartments in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. I booked (literally days before departure) 2A allocated on arrival. I travelled with 3 friends, all of us ranging from 18-21 and had a cracking time. The accommodation consists of 40 x 1 bedroom apartments, all of which are small but kept clean. Apartments are on two tiers, with 20 on one side, a decent sized pool with kiddies section in the centre, and 20 rooms facing opposite.
