" Just returned from Viareggio, Italy... "

Just returned from Viareggio, Italy (Tuscany) and it was the best holiday we as a family have ever had. We couldn't fault a thing!

The hotel was fantastic, we asked for 2 rooms together and we got them, right next door. The rooms were spacious, carpeted, had plenty of wardrobe space and air conditioned. They were cleaned every day with toiletries left for you.

The position of the hotel, right across from the beach! Was superb as was the pool, in the gardens. They had table football and table tennis for the kids to play and hammocks ( which went down well!)

The food! Well what can I say, my husband and I came back 5lbs heavier!!! It was unbelievable and we have been too many top restaurants around England but this matched anything we have had. You get a buffet pre-starter!! (Which could fill you), then your starter, then main and then sweet! You need to walk it off like we did along the main promenade, looking at the shops!

You order your meal at breakfast choosing what you would like from each, there are 5 or 6 choices for starter and main! Or they will do anything if you ask! We had lobster on night and were asked if the children wanted an alternative!

The resort is great, real exclusive shops, lovely ice cream, and pizzas. The only thing I could say is to take cans of coke or pop with you to the beach ect as this is the most expensive thing we bought! 4.50 Euros when a pizza is only 6. But we will return and I do really recommend the hotel for any age. All the staff were pleasant.

We went on the excursion to Florence with Thomson, this was a full day from 8am pick up to 7pm drop off. With children we thought it might be too much but after the 2and half hour guided tour ( which was unmissable) we had free time until 4pm. It was just enough for us all in the heat! Great day though and well worth the trip!

This was the first time I’ve pulled up at a hotel and thought wow!
