Lion Hotel
Lion Hotel is situated in the lively Gumbet centre in a perfect position near the beach, the local shops, restaurants and bars. It is a hotel for those who prefer having a fun and sun holiday. Water sports are available nearby and the nearest airport is Bodrum-Milas (40 km).

I dont know how there are 10/10 reviews for this place.
I went with a friend and the 2 reviews below mine basically speak for itself.
I didnt have clean sheets 4 2 weeks.
the reps are a rip off we went on a cruise and the reps had their own private party the night before, so all they could do is sleep. I should have been paid 4 bein the rep.
About 4 people sit arount the pool in this deserted hotel and there are only about 20 rooms far from any 18-30 hol i have been on. The music oh my god i wanted 2 smash up the stereo. ADVICE take some cds if u are so unlucky to serve a sentance here. Rambo is a annoying little prat and eyeball paul the man that runs the shop next door is a real fat perv. I was gettin dressed and he was copin a glance. You will know who this is now! You have to climb a mountain to get to the clubs and then 100 turks follow u about. Got about 5 songs that ply on repeat in the clubs. I went for 2 weeks it was hell. Resort full of girls, so if u r male get there!!!!! DO NOT BOOK TRIPS WITH SALLY< you will never see her again. Ther shower is as below if it comes on in room 205 no fridge just 2 beds a mirror and bathroom, I would say go to jail 4 2 weeks better facilities. If you have bboked up enjoy!!!

Me and my boyfriend and 4 of our friends booked with Thomas Cook for 2 weeks. We were told that this hotel has a fridge (it also says this on the thomas cook website), but it did not.
The bathrooms were minature and the shower was a very very small hole on the ground with no shower curtain or anything so each time you took a shower the bathroom was covered in water. The shower head kept coming off, in my room and our friends room and therefore spraying water all over the room.
The water was off one day and the electricity was off in two of the three rooms we booked one night when we were trying to get ready for a night out.
The cleaner hardly did anything, we got fresh towels either two or three times over the 2 weeks we stayed in this hotel and the only reason we got some was because we had to ask for them. There was no bins so we had to put our rubbish in bags and the cleaner didnt remove any of the bags during the 2 weeks.
Our rep was Sally and she ripped us off with the excursions, she was not very helpful at all. She lied about things and was even trying to get more money off us for another trip before we left, we hadnt even said we wer going and she was askin for our bank details
The manager Fiko was quite nice but Rambo, the 15 year old who worked there was a torture and was always annoying us around the pool, he tried to push one of my friends in the pool who had their fone in their pocket and he tried to start a fight with my boyfriend!!
This hotel is terrible!!

i have just come back from my holiday to turkey with my boyfriend, it was his first time abroad and was hoping for a great first holiday together. when we arrived, there was mold all over the bathroom; the shower, taps and also the toilet. after our first night of arriving we also found bugs in both of the beds. we received, two singles when we requested a double, we got told there was a frige to store water and food through out the holiday and it turned out there wasnt one. The overall condition of the room spoilt our holiday and feel that the state of the room was un hygenic and not suitable for any standard of living. even though it was an 18-30 holiday i dont think it is suitable for any person of any age. The rep that we was allocated, sally, was never around and never there to help if you needed it, even on the excursions and night outs, she was barely around. i would not advise anybody to stay there due to the conditon of the rooms. it caused us alot of stress and was hard work to relax giving all of the reasons i have stated. i'd save your money and upgrade to a better hotel if you do wish to visit turkey, as it was a lovely place, just a shame about the hotel!!

I have to say that when myself and my friend booked up to go to Gumbet with Club 18-30 I wasn't really expecting much. We only booked a week or two before going and thought that it would be an ok holiday at best.
We couldn't have been any more wrong.
The staff were fab and couldn't do enough to help you. From carrying our suitcases to the room, getting you more loo roll to staying up serving food and drink until the last person went to bed and then they would still be up bright and early to serve breakfast. I also have to say that we met some great people in the hotel and ended up having a party before we went out every nite, the staff did not mind this even though we had music blaring till late and made so much noise that I would have chucked us out. The cleaner would even come in in the mornings and clear-out our empty Vodka bottles which she didn't have to do.
The rooms are pretty basic and there was no fridge but even that couldn't ruin this holiday for us.
The atmosphere was great in this hotel and as it's not huge the pool was never overcrowded. Sally our rep was great to and always came and had a little chat by the pool to make sure everyone was happy. We also did a few of the 18-30 excursions, the Hawiian beach party and last supper were a big favourite with us.
The location was great, 5 minutes to the bars and clubs and only a few more minutes to the beach. We did not get a taxi once whilst there. The drinks are expensive compared to most other tourist resorts but the food is cheap. I would recommend this hotel and this resort to anyone and everyone as we had the most amazing holiday ever and will be venturing back there at some point ourselfs.

I have just come back from my club 18-30 holiday in this resort. I went with one other friend. This holiday has been the best holiday and week of my life. The rooms are pretty basic, ie no fridge, but the place was filled with a great atmosphere to make up for that! i met the most amazing people and couldnt have wished for a better holiday! The staff in the hotel were great, even at 5am, they would go out there way and make us toasties and chips etc! a service we wouldnt get at home! nothing was too much hassle. The reps were also helpful at showing us around and looking after us at night. It was a perfect location, near the pubs, clubs and restaurants (with a great selection) and not too far from the beach either, just a few minutes away. The place is expensive for drinks but everything else is quite cheap and i would highly recommend this hotel. I'd go back anyday!

I apologize for my bad English. I'm from Holland, but I reccoment this hotel to everybody!! The hotel manager Fako (I don't know if he still owns the place), was very sweet for us. The service was excellent and it was very quiet. There was enough space to do what ever you wanted. It was also very clean.
I hope you have a nice holly day in this lovely hotel. Just try it, you'll love it!

i went with two other girls aged 17-18, and this hotel did it for us!! Hotel is great! right near nightlife, clean and staff friendly! very basic - bed, shower, pool and pool bar, which is great if your just looking for a cheap holiday! suitable for couples aswell i would say as quite a small hotel anyway! would definatly recommend as cheap and well situated and good music played by pool during the day, loved it!!!!!

Have just arrived back from spending 7 nights in the Lion hotel. The hotel is in peaceful surroundings, just a short 5 min stroll from the main nightlife and around 8 mins walk to the beach.
Pool & bar area always kept clean and tidy. All staff are really helpful, friendly people who cannot do enough for you.
The only downside to the hotel is the bedrooms are very small. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a low cost holiday close to the action.

This hotel was dirty - when we arrived our bed sheets were stained and full of hair.
The room only got cleaned once when we complained to the rep - they never emptied our bin or replenished our toilet paper.
The bar manager and hotel manager were very rude and disrespectful. We even saw mouse droppings on the stairs!!
Do not stay here!
