""""****READ THIS ONE****""""

I just came back from this hotel, and i had stayed there for a week. It's a good hotel because the rooms are nice, the bar and resturant is great, they serve an all you can eat buffet, breakfast from 8am and dinner from 7:30pm, i am not sure about lunch because i was always out during then.

Right, in most peoples reviews they say that it is warm and you must be thinking that that is good because outside it must be freezing, well its not actually that cold outside and inside its quite hot! Most of the time i had my window open wide.

But overall it is a very fab hotel with everything just 2 mins away ( the bus bay, the ski shops, the ski slopes and the hypercenter that is just across the road)

I give it a 9 out of 10!

" There's a lot of a very fussy reviews... "

There's a lot of a very fussy reviews on this site!!
Just got back from a 4 night stay at The Parma. The hotel was spot-on in every way. Friendly, helpful English speaking staff in reception, bar and restaurant. The room was clean, big and very warm, cleaned AND tidied every day. Bathroom was clean and well equipped. Good shower and loads of hot water. The restaurant was well run by the two waiters. Breakfast is OK with a selection of hot food, cold food, cereal, bread and drinks. Evening meal is fab, served from 7.30 to 10.30. There's loads of selection, hot and cold. If you book it independently it is very cheap for half board.
Resort is good with loads of skiing and the walk to the slopes is very easy and it means you are not in the rowdiness of the town at 3am! Can recommend SURF EVISIO on the right of the slope with TUPI bar underneath where you can store skis for 2 Euro per day. Happy hour at 4.30pm.

" Just back from a fab holiday. Were a... "

Just back from a fab holiday. Were a little bit wary with the reviews we had read but the hotel was fab. It was really warm - sometimes too hot and we had to open the window, the rooms were clean and the food was excellent. There was different choices every night and from speaking to other people we appeared to be staying in one of the best hotels for food selection.

The hotel is a little bit noisy but we were across the corridor from some kids who cried all night but to be honest we were so tired after a days skiing, it did not have much of an effect.

We went to ski school every day which was excellent and the instructor always tried to clear up any questions and doubts. By the end of the week we were whizzing down the top of the mountain which was fab.

Main complaint was our rep who had no idea what was going on but to be honest there were so many other helpful people around that we had no issues.

Have still not worked out the five minute up hill walk to the slopes as we had no issues. The resort is so easy to get around and has some good bars. People are really friendly and we had such a good holiday that we plan to go back again!

Have a fab time!

" Andorra was our first family skiing... "

Andorra was our first family skiing holiday and it took us about half an hour to find the hotel from there the coached dropped us.

The rooms are very cramped and the radiators aren't always on, so it does get frequently cold. The hotel has a overall cold feeling in the atmosphere but once you get a few drinks in you you wont feel a thing!

Food is very samey everyday but its what you expect from a 3* hotel.

Skiing was great, only a 5 minute trek up a hill but its worth it. Very much for beginners and intermediate skiers! Also ask to keep your ski equipment in the hire shop overnight, because it saves you carrying them up and down the hill everyday and trainers are much more comfy to walk in.

Hope you have a good holiday.

" The hotel was very basic, but it was... "

The hotel was very basic, but it was clean and warm so for a budget hotel you get what you pay for.

The food was plenty full with a good selection just not a very nice selection and nothing very fresh and all a bit cold, the breakfast was just the basic toast cheese ham, beans, bacon etc.

The hotels location is at the far end of the resort but that’s not so bad as the resort is only small, with not much of a variety of shops skis and boards are a good price, camera, and alcohol shops are the only others in the resort but did go to the capital for half a day so more of a selection there and only €5 one way definitely worth a visit.

The price of drinks and food is the resort is very expensive do not think this is going to be a cheap budget holiday the hotel bar sells jd and coke for €5 (a large shot) but you can get a bottle from the shop next door for €11 they seam to have caught onto the seeing the tourist off.

Have a good one.

" The staff were nice and friendly.... "

The staff were nice and friendly. Pool table & pinball and a nice atmosphere made it hard to stray from the hotel after a tiring day boarding. The food was up to expected standard, edible but not great, valiant attempt though! The room was long and thin and with 3 single beds... they weren’t that comfy to be honest. The shower was lovely, quite powerful and hot. No English channels on the satellite TV either except for BBC NEWS 24.

We went on a couple of the events first choice organised. A Mexican night, and bum boarding. The Mexican night would have been ok had it not been for the rep with the microphone harassing people to down beers and take shots. A bit 18-30 so if you’re not into that sort of thing its just a bit much.

The mountain itself was absolutely brilliant... really quiet since it was the last week of season, would heartily recommend. It was only about a 10-minute walk to the bottom of the mountain, however, as we found out towards the end of the holiday... there were storage lockers at the base of the slopes where we could have stored our stuff for about 20 EUROS. That would have made the walk up a bit easier!

Watch out for people in the shops ripping you off. WE bought a pair of snowboarding trousers, which tore quite badly within the first couple of hours. When we went back to complain it was clear that they had had the problem before with that brand but they were totally unwilling to refund, or exchange and suddenly could barely speak English. So you don’t really have consumer rights there.
In fact the shop was called ESPORTA so don’t go there, they suck!!

All in all fab holiday! Would recommend anyone to go there!

" Rooms are very cramped. Limited room... "

Rooms are very cramped. Limited room to put clothes. Breakfast very poor the same every day. Evening meal a bit better but still not alot of variety. Ski lockers are next to your room and you have to pay 10 euros deposit for locker key!

The locker is very small only enough to put a pair of skis and one pair of boots. The lift broke down every day we were there so we had to walk up four flights of stairs with skis and boots on! Some friends complained their room was cold were as our room was very hot. Good points - not many expect bathroom ok and bar ok. The hotel had a cold feel to it. Quite a trek up hill to the piste.

In brochure as 3* but really should be a 2*.

" Have just read the above review. It... "

Have just read the above review. It just shows that things at the Parma have not improved.

I stayed here 7 years ago with a big group. The rooms were poor then, bedding was worn, the restaurant was disorganised, there was insufficient cutlery and the tables were not cleared quickly.

We never returned and complained bitterly to first choice ski. The first reviewer is correct this is a two star at best!
