In all fairness, the hotel wasn't horrible but it certainly wasn't great. I went back in 2007 so it's probably been changed. Most of the members of staff were quite rude, It was only the receptionist that actually tried. The mananger was a P****. Well what we saw of him... more

Dont believe the bad reviews! It was our first visit to Turkey, and we found Oludeniz and this hotel everything we wanted. Probably more 3star than 4 star, but thought the food delicious, something for everyone, but particularly enjoyed the turkish food. Liked the outside dining area. Rooms were absolutely fine (if you are booking, try to ensure not ground floor). Gardens immaculate and pool area lovely. Minutes to the beach and the hotel bus to the lagoon a treat. My husband and I have just returned from an end of season weeks holiday at the Tropicana (End of Oct). It was our first time in Turkey but most deifinately not our last. I really lovely resort although being end of season, by day 3 most shops and resteraunts had closed, leaving just a few. Was a bit like a ghost town.... except for the mosquitos!!!!! If you are not prepared to absorb the Turkish culture and enjoy their traditional food then turkey is not the place for you. I have been coming to this region in Turkey for the last 5 years in October and this visit was definately the best! I had read a few bad reviews before we went and I was a bit apprehensive-but there was no need!! The hotel is a couple of minutes walk to one of the best beaches in europe the hotel is set in stunning scenery and fantastic gardens. Before staying at the Tropicana I read some bad reviews about the hotel and was concerned about going, but I worried for nothing. The hotel was small but lovely and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The only downside was that I had booked a 'Rooftop' room which meant basically the attic room with steep steps and no balcony. The pool was great-very clean, with lilo's and balls to play with. we booked our stay at this hotel it is advertised as four star it certainly is not i would say it has a job to be two star we were booked in for 14 nights but we left after 5 nights to another hotel it cost us £200 plus it was only half board . The food was disgusting plenty of salad but it was warm . we had a constant smell of sewage in our room and out side . the music around the pool started about 7.30am and went on tll 1am this was advertised as a relaxing holiday it was any thing but .

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Me the wife and daughter booked a 4 star all inclusive hotel in Turkey. If this hotel is a 4 star I am a bannana!!! Hotel advertised as being a 4 star and having hotel ran kids club. It did not have a kids club and would be lucky to be a 2 star. Just returned from a great short holiday to Olu Deniz and really liked the Tropicana Hotel, we normally travel backpacker style and so we were worried that this holiday wouldnt be our thing, but we were pleasantly surprised, we were with our 4 year old son and he loved the pool and smal play park.
