Elounda Marmin Bay Hotel is panoramically built and located in majestic Elounda, in the Plaka region on the island of Crete, Greece. The traditional stone architecture and vegetation, along with the magnificent view over the bay are elements that will charm every visitor. Cretan hospitality, family atmosphere and the direct contact of the personnel will excite you. The airport of Heraklion is 75 km away.
I must apologise for this late posting, we actually stayed at Marmin Bay in August 2007, but I have only just managed to find the time to post comments. Perhaps this is better, as I can reflect on our time in the hotel, rather than react.

Marmin Bay has lovely clean rooms, aircon, wonderful view! My advice is not to go all-inclusive!
3 choices of alcohol between 10am and 10pm: metaxas, ouzo and lager (if they have it!) These are served in plastic cups and after 10pm you...

Would like to know how they got a 4 star rating. Food offered was chips for lunch and dinner every day. Fish fingers, burgers, chicken nuggets for dinner. We did not expect an "English breakfast" but never saw any eggs in 2 weeks!
The hotel does have spectacular views and it could be a very nice hotel, but there are serious problems with this hotel, plus the food. There were no vegetarian options available until halfway through our second week and there is a problem with wasps...

Myself and my boyfriend spent a week at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The hotel was on a steep hill (as is most of Crete), but this meant the view from and balcony and from the pool was breath taking.
The Greek version of Fawlty Towers, we agree with all the previous comments in the reviews.
We had to wait for water to come back on to shower one evening. No review has mention the restaurant trip board nailed to the floor to cover a...

My mum and I stayed at Marmin Bay for the last week of July. We had a really great time and to be honest if you have read the hotel information you would know what to expect.
You will see that it clearly states not for the elderly, people...

Just got back from a week at Marmin Bay Hotel. Had the best of times. The resort is peaceful, clean, and well designed.
I have never had a room with such a spectacular view. In response to the other reviews shown on this site, the hotel...

I have been to Greece many times and Crete twice. The hotel was the worst place I have ever stayed at.
The hotel was on a very steep hill and was awkward to walk up and down. It had some steps part of the way down and the rest was just...

Completely agree with the comments.
It’s in a lovely area with great views, the rooms are clean and respectable, and the catering staff were friendly and helpful.
As for all inclusive, it’s not the best. There is a small...

Well... the Elounda Marmin Bay hotel... what can I say... mainly that you don't get what it says on the tin with regard to being all inclusive. But let's start with the positives:
Staff - Cheerful, mainly Romanian or Albanian.
Food -...

Having read the mixed reviews before we went we kept an open mind expecting that any problems would have been ironed out in the meantime.
However in our opinion there is only one phrase to sum up the holiday, junk food, poor facilities...
