Nautilos Beach Hotel Reviews
" We have just returned from our... "

We have just returned from our holiday at this hotel and found it very disappointing.
The location was very poor, there were no shops within half an hours walking distance although the pebble beach was about 20mins walk away where there were a few bars. The local town of Barbati only had a few restaurants and a couple of shops, the next nearest town being Ipsos which cost 10 euros by cab each time. The hotel did not have it's own shop.
When we arrived, we were made to wait half an hour for our room which had two single beds, on reporting this to reception we were told to push them together or live with it in a rude manner and were told there only two double rooms in the whole hotel.
The room was basic but ok apart from the bed issue. There was an air conditioning unit but this cost 5 euros a day even though we were all inclusive.
The only facilities in the hotel were the pool/bar and restaurant. We felt that the hotel was not a 4 * as we were told but 3 * at best. The food was fairly poor although edible apart from the breakfast which was German salami, boiled eggs and toast, I didn't eat breakfast once even though I was all inclusive.
The bar only offered soft drinks, local beer, ouzo, local brandy and house cocktail to all inclusive guests. They stopped serving all inclusive at 11 and I was denied a drink even though I was at the bar 10 mins before this time. Non all inclusive guests were always served 1st.

We have just got back from Corfu today, I booked this hotel with teletext before reading any reviews it looked and sounded wonderful just what we wanted. I then read awful reviews and was distraught at what we were going too.
We arrived early hours of the Saturday morning to the welcoming of the most miserable man I have ever met he was very rude, awful English, no information and mainly just grunted. He also said we were early and wasn't supposed to be there until mid-day after a few words he decided he did have a room.
My first impression was not pretty and very angry. We got to the room after been driven madly down a steep hill the rude man pointed at room and my fiancé had to carry our cases up two sets of stairs luckily he is strong.
The room was fine, clean, and livable. The shower was hot, the view from our room was beautiful we had a sea view room and overall it was fine.
It is hilly and steep I wouldn't recommend it for children, families, or elderly.
The food was lovely and we certainly ate and drank a lot for the week there was always plenty. The staff were slow apart from one lady called Katrina, she was happy and worked extremely hard. The other staff were miserable and just plain rude. We just ignored them after the first day pointless worrying over it.
The pool was lovely, the views were fantastic, we always got a sunbed, and overall we had a great relaxing week. We met a lot of people and had a good time.
If you want a relaxing holiday in the sun then this is the place for you.

" We booked this hotel through Jetline... "

We booked this hotel through Jetline Travel who we used in the past, they have always been very good, and we put no fault on them
We went to this hotel on 13 June 2007, just two of us.
We were expecting a lovely 4 star hotel on the beach, official rating 3 star, this was only just 2 star and definitely not on the beach unless you call decking a beach and having to jump off into 15ft of water, no good for children or poor swimmers, the decking wasn’t safe either nor were the steps from the decking to the sea.
The rooms were very tiny and unclean, the manager didn’t seem to care about his guests, luckily the sun shone.
Also the hills and steps would have done the fittest person in. Please do not visit this hotel unless you enjoy dirt, poor rooms etc.

Food inedible - wouldn't dare feed my cat the food for fear of it keeling over. Actually infact there was a roaming kitten to feed it to but then that crawled away to die somewhere.
BREAKFAST specifically - wasps swarming under the lids of the bowls of jam. All in all menu - wasps and boiled eggs.
Staff - rude and obnoxious and unwilling to help.
Guests - look like they have just attended a funeral.
Room - I have a shoe box bigger than that! Camp beds posing as a double.....only appropriate in tents where you do not have the privilege of the couple above doing rudies until god knows what hour (squeak squeak). Not appropriate as a double bed - beware the plank that separates you from your loved one, don't know how the couple above persevered (for SO long).
Hills - Vertical! - plus point - I have glutes of steel now! (remember to take an oxygen tank).
Taxis - daylight robbery 10 Euros to travel 2 km - which is not walkable due to death by cliff or death by erratic Greek driver shoving you off previously mentioned cliff. All in all the cliffs are out to get you.
Nautilus "beach" - more like Nautilus "jump off a cliff into the deep and try not to be eaten or washed up on the rocks by a passing speedboat" hotel.
I hope you read this before you go and I can't apologise enough if you’re about to venture on this delightful charade posing as a holiday. Say hi to the grumpy old reception goat! Don't trust the photos it is NOT above 2* it’s miserable and expensive to do anything! Save yourselves NOW!!! Sadly the truth is you probably can't.
One thing I will agree with the holiday company is that it is the "truly unforgettable holiday" that they promised.
You have been warned.
