Himalaia Hotel Reviews
" Ideally placed for slopes, warm and... "
Submitted By: Mrs GL Chappell
Ideally placed for slopes, warm and clean. However, food is very poor with cold bacon, eggs etc at breakfast and a constant search for essentials such as cereal bowls, spoons, milk, orange juice.
The buffet just wasn't replenished often enough and guests constantly had to ask staff for more food/cutlery. Staff were reasonably efficient but curt to the point of being rude at times. Not a 4 star even by mainland European standards.
Beware the 'short walk' when the coach drops you off! It is not so short in the early hours of the morning in heavy snowfall and lots of hanging about is necessary as you have to load your own bags onto the smaller luggage bus.
Make sure you have boots and a warm jacket etc ready for your walk to the hotel.

None could ski, due, not to the weather, or their level of competency, but their total inability to stand upright for any more than 10 minutes. A danger to themselves but more importantly a danger to any unsuspecting holiday maker to cross their paths. One could only wish that the tour operator could ban this type of group in future.
The logo on their rugby shirts read MLR, which should stand for Making Life Retched for other holiday makers. Shame on them.
The Hotel food/staff was excellent. This year no Irish MLRs or storms made for perfect holiday.
