This is a very good hotel. A Turkey rated 5* but I would class it a high Spanish 4*.
Not everything is open in early April; all would be open by the 15th May which is not that good if you specifically booked because you wanted the water parks.
This was rectified in our second week after some considerable pressure at reception. Also the price drops considerably after the school holidays, so those who have children may think it's rather expensive if all the facilities are not available.
There will always be some negatives at this time of year though. The weather for us was excellent reaching 34c in our second week, not sure if that is the normal as this was our first visit to Turkey.
We found the staff very helpful and friendly if treated with respect, please and thank you never go amiss unlike the Germans and Russians who take everything for granted.
The Titanic is kept immaculate cleaning goes on 24/7 A wonderful selection of hot and cold food even if it became a little repetitive in the second week, but there was always something to eat. The desserts were to die for. There was also a good selection of all-inclusive drinks from 10am until midnight.
Lara beach itself does not have a lot to offer, so you have to travel or go on excursions provide by your holiday company. You have to do the Dolmus experience (shared taxi) 1.5 till each way to Antalya that’s 60p each way but it's not for the faint hearted.
The small harbour in Antalya is well worth a visit as well as the Bazaar where you have to bring your haggling skills into action. Some good bargains can be had here. I suggest you seek out what you want buy first; you will be able to pay in Sterling, Euro, or Turkish lira. Ask their price then offer 25% and move up to a price that you are happy with.
Change your money at the P.T.T. (local post office) we got 2.77 TYL to the pound while we were there.
Side is also worth a visit; we met up with another couple and their boys and shared a taxi as there was not a bus that went to Side. Cost 60 Euros (£42) return for the six of us 150 klm round trip bargained price down from 75 Euros but had to include two shopping stops at a jewellery and leather factory outlet. The jewellery is made to a very high standard and good value for money.
Side though was excellent there was a small museum, Temple of Apollo and Amphitheatre, lovely little harbour, restaurants along the front and the shops run up the main street from the harbour to the theatre.
Manavgat waterfalls and the Green Lakes are also a must.
In conclusion book a room with a sea view as plenty of people upgraded from an inland view, which was far more expensive when you arrived than at the time of booking.
