This hotel is set right by the beach with picturesque views out over the Gulf of Figari. While it enjoys a peaceful location there are plenty of hotel activities for adults and children alike, plus a selection of beach bars within easy walking distance, giving you the best of both worlds.

We spent a wonderful week in this small, beautifully kept hotel with the most charming staff. They went to extra special lengths to make our stay enjoyable and it certainly was.

For anyone wanting a quiet holiday in picturesque surroundings - this is it. It most certainly helps to speak French and I would hesitate to recommend it if you are determined to stick to English all the time.

We took advantage of a boat trip with 2 other French couples organized by the hotel and I would definitely recommend this. If you haven't hired a car, the hotel runs its own excursions provided there are enough people.

Even car hire off season cannot be guaranteed so make sure you book beforehand as Thomsons do not run their own excursions from this hotel.

One problem to be aware of is the relative isolation of this hotel but if you enjoy walking you will love the scenery on the way to the village of Pianottolli where there is a boulangerie, a charcuterie, post office, newsagent and relatively large Spar supermarket for a small village.

Take note however, there are no money changing facilities unless you go to Figari or Bonefacio.

Meals at the hotel are good quality but with limited choice. The best meal of our stay was on 'Corsican Night' with the typical wild boar stew.

Every evening there was entertainment which was extremely well organised by the popular Marcus.

There are bicycles to hire, pedelo’s and plenty of other daytime sports. By the end of your stay your French will have improved and my admiration for the behaviour of French children certainly puts our nation to shame!
