Katerina Palace Hotel

Fab-a-dosie hotel, basic rooms and if possible ask for the new hotel rooms, but friendly staff, lovely pool, plenty of sun but lack of beach! Get a scooter out for ten euros and discover quiet, romantic beaches down the coast!
Head to banana beach! For an evening bite go to Zorbas or Papillon for ace grub! Go to Targets up on the mountain for brilliant views of Argassi but beware the food is not up to scratch!
Note they do supply a free cab there and back as a sweetener. For a dance and some nice cocktails head to Magic Mushroom! Cocktails cost only four euros and are very yummy! Just be aware of the locals hunting for tourist flesh!
Have a fab time! Do the turtle island cruise with Thomson for 39 Euros each or see Pete the Greek next to Piccadilly restaurant for a bargain price of 20 Euros or ask Kyriakos for a cheaper option! Up to you!

The actual hotel itself looks very nice from the outside; the pool area is really lovely. The room was very very basic, didn't have a TV or hairdryer as suggested in the brochure, and water was off on one night, but overall it was ok. The cleaners came in every day to change your towels/empty bins etc.
The actual resort is quite small, but nice. Couldn't stay here for 2 weeks as there wasn't much to do. We did the cruise around the island but the actual cruise liner didn't stop at the beach stops so we could get off and explore/sunbathe, it just stopped "near the beach".
Would recommend "The Big Plate" restaurant on the side street of the hotel, food was fantastic and the staff very pleasant.
If we were to go back to Zante, I don't think I would go back to Argassi but only because it was a bit too quiet for us.

19 of us have just returned from Katerina Palace, Argassi. The hotel was lovely and clean. We had our beds changed several times in our 1 week stay.
The breakfast was sufficient with fresh bread, cereals, fruit, eggs and fresh coffee. We have been to Argassi lots of times and stayed in several hotels but Katerina Palace so far has been the best.
The only thing I can grumble about is the shower. When you are getting showered it becomes very hot and then freezing cold. This could become dangerous if a child was taking a shower. This problem really needs sorting but apart from that it was a beautiful maintained complex and we would certainly go back there again.

Found the studios to be very basic, as expected, but to be without electric for 4 hours on 1st day and without any running water for 8 hours on the 2nd (no toilet or anything!) just as getting ready to go out, too much.
Rep only there 2 days out of week.
The amount of noise from the hotel behind studios and our own studios was horrendous, even able to hear next room being sick at 5 in the morning!
After all this said sod it, packed half our gear and went over to Kalamaki and booked another hotel for 3 nights to try and salvage holiday.
Argassi itself fine good restaurants etc, no beach though, but would not return to Kat Palace studios.
Would recommend if in Argassi,10 euro taxi to Kalamaki for superb beach and resort.

Argassi was a quiet part of the island but lovely and relaxing.
The people there were very friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the bedding was changed almost everyday.
The best restaurant was Zorbuis, which is just around the corner, it’s marvellous.
I really want to go back xx

My friend and I went to Katerina palace this October, wouldn’t go back this late again as everything started to close for winter, did manage the boat trip that was fab.
Book with Alexandra’s she is down from 24/7 bar very nice and fair as we missed our first trip and she transferred us over to the next sunny day. As for the hotel all staff are really nice very helpful, we loved the pool bar staff and Chrissie & Angie, at the reception were great! After being there a while I felt as though we lived there it was that friendly.
Definitely go back but I would take my family next time, best hotel in Argassi pool and rooms very clean maids very good and never really saw them but fresh towels most days. The owner Katerina is a really nice person and takes pride in her hotel.
Go up the hill to a very nice Greek restaurant they will send a car for you and also bring you home free of charge, well worth the view and good food. Brill hotel.

We have just come back from Argassi it was the best holiday ever had never been to Greece before people very friendly, food very good value for money and always very good plenty shops and bars avoid Peters bar, we went to red lion, legends and the jam which is up the hill on the left when you come out of entrance of hotel. The jam was by far the best, the staff and every one we met that worked there could not have been friendlier.
Everyone at hotel could not help enough rooms very clean, pool very clean poo lbar staff very friendly we went on two boat trips don’t go with the Delphi which is the red boat we were supposed to stop at turtle island but did not also we were supposed to be back at 5pm from trip but did not get back to hotel till nearly 8pm
We will definitely be going back to the Katerina hotel.

We were in Zante in Sept 2005 the holiday was wonderful and the island pretty and the weather very hot between 28 and 32 degrees. The hotel was ok as we were in the old part (above reception) of the hotel the room was basic the beds were hard and low and my husband broke the slats on the bed.
The breakfasts were fine but towards the end of the week i was sick of eggs meat cheese, but the yoghurt and honey mmmmm lovely.
The staff were pleasant and helpful and we had room service every day with a change of bedding midweek, the air-con was a bit dodgy but it sort of worked. There were lots of choices of food eateries and bars to choose from but don’t go to Peters restaurant or the 24/7 cafe bar as the food is disgusting you wont be able to miss Peter as he practically drags you in the place, and his son runs the 24/7.
For a small resort on a small island it was overall a nice holiday I would return again to Argassi but choose a different hotel.
