Rosa Hotel

We spent 6 nights of our honeymoon at Villa Rosa - and were greeted with a bottle of sparkling on our arrival! Just lovely! Great staff, nice room, good location for exploring. We hired a car and had day trips up in the mountains, around the Lake, Venice and Verona. Word of advice - we were there on Easter weekend and the traffic on Easter Monday was terrible! Getting back to our hotel from travelling around the lake took us 3 hours to travel the last 8 miles!! We nearly ditched the car and walked!

Great hotel, in a very nice location on lake Garda. Air conditioned, big rooms, most with a view over the lake, lovely pool, nice breakfast. We hired a car for a week, and went to Venice, Verona, Sirmone and Salo. Great location if you don't want to sit on your bum all day, also great if you do! Friendly staff, secure car park and 500 meters from the centre of Desenzano Del Garda. 9/10

My girlfriend and I stayed here for just two nights in August while half way round our Europe tour, we splashed out as it was my girlfriends birthday and we made a very good choice. I researched a lot of hotels at lake Garda, around desenzano and sirmione.. this was the best one I found that looked nice, on the water and had it’s own swimming pool. I am writing this review quite a little late...since I was there mid May '07. While planning our Euro trip we had heard that Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) was a nice place to stop for a few days. So we looked into the hotels and found this one in Desenzano. At the time, the hotel was being renovated but would be opened before our planned trip. My Husband and I stayed for 3 days and we were very impressed by the hotel's beautiful design. Each and every detail was thoroughly thought of and we could feel the true excellnce of the place. Spent 5 days at this recently refurbished hotel - spotlessly clean, friendly and efficient staff, large and comfy room, good breakfast and an excellent location. I can't fault anything with this hotel. Even when the LCD TV didn't work, a man came to fix it within ten minutes! I've never seen cleaning staff work so hard - they spent at least 30 minutes every day polishing every surface in the room. We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Villa Rosa Hotel. We had a fantastic time there. We booked a junior suite which was immaculately clean, spacious and well furnished. The hotel staff were polite and helpful and gave invaluable advice regarding local transport etc. Breakfasts were good with a wide choice of savoury and sweet items. Our party consistedof 8 people ranging in age from 76 to 8 years and stayed in the lovely Villa Rosa in early August. Our first encounter was with Enrico at reception - an absolute gentleman, friendly, charming and extremely helpful, as were all the other staff at reception. No request was ever a burden to them! We booked 4 rooms- a double, 2 superior doubles and a junior suite.
