i have just cum bk from this hotel and we loved it the food was good all the staff was really nice it was always clean the hotel !!! and michael who did the music bingo and kids disco was excellent defo go bk to this hotel soon !!! Wigan

I stayed here in January 2011 and was sceptical about it with all the bad reviews I had read but I was pleasently surprised by the cleaniness and the friendly and polite staff.I was traveling out to meet my parents who were staying in this hotel for a month.They loved it there and havent any complaints either

this hotelfor a start is never a 3 star hotel, at most it is a poor 2 star however the bugs are still there so take extra cash for medical assistance. just got back 29/10/10. had the bug the cause may have been the poor menu or the dishes were not quite dry when you use... more

in june 2010 we went on a family hoilday ( 7 people) we stayed there for 8 days it was clean and rooms got cleand every day though our bed sheets never got changed once when we were there on our 4th day there 3 off our family caught the bug after talking to other people... more

my husband & i stayed in the Regente hotel for 7 days on the 13th to the 20th of january 2007,& enjoyed every minute of our stay,staff were very friendly,& the food was exellent, we both enjoyed everything we ate, also the room was clean,& clean towels put in every day. I stayed at the regente from nov 1st - nov 14 , 2006 and found the hotel , very clean , friendly . and well equiped . the restarant was clean and bright , well serviced by friendly staff , and the food was very good and plentiful , which catered for all tastes . , the accomodation was clean comfortable and the tempreture was right for the time of year . the entertainment was good suited all tastes and ages , and the staff in the hotel were very fiendly and helpful especially roberto the receptionist , ALthough situated away from the old town transport was plenty by the bus services departing from outside the pool area . the hotel has sat telivision which is a godsend for those who like the soaps and sports etc . which is available in the rooms or lounge areas , . two very good bars i found were the jarrow lad on the pniente beach , very welcoming and good value for money , and the refuge , owned by debbie and lesley , just behind the walking street , excellent service , value and very friendly atmosphere . i would recommend thouroughly . opening hours from 12.15 pm - 4.00 am IF you decide to stay at the regente you will not be dissapointed

We stayed at the Regente from 21st October til 4th November 2006. I found all the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were standard but comfortable. The food was excellent throughout the fortnight. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be staying here next year. Fred Robinson.
Really Brilliant Hotel from Joan'n'Laurie
My friend and I took a last minute holiday to Benidorme and wanted to be on Levante Beach as we both love shopping, the beach and being near The Square for the night life! This was the hotel that came with the package. We chose half board as we're out all day. We both found The Regente to be excellent in every way. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel was very clean, our room was immaculate each evening on our return. The food was plentiful and the dishes topped up frequently so that it was always hot and appetizing and there was plenty of choice for adults and children alike. The lifts were a little slow at meal times as there was great demand then but it wasn't more than a 10 minute wait at it's worse. The views from our room (8th floor) were breathtaking and we both agreed that we would like to stay there as often as possible. A fabulous hotel in every way

Hi, all well the long and short of it i hired a safety deposit box in my room in the hotel regente, had 390pounds english notes, and a 100pounds euro's and my car keys with immobiliser, all were stolen by some member of staff from the hotel, as i always had the key in my bag. This happened not even a week into our holiday which made us have to really budget our money and with a 12year old son and a 8year old daughter it made it worse because we couldn't afford the things we wanted to do with them. Security guards of the hotel were seen on numerous occasions entering or leaving the rooms in a suspicious way, very sneaky looking. All in all with the money stolen and how much it will cost to replace the locks to my car and the immobiliser, we have had about 600pounds stolen. Receptionist denied everything said it was not possible as there is only one key, but i wonder if i had the one key, and there was no forced entry to either room door of safety box where did my money go obviously you know the answer as much as i do. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to ANYONE, and most certainly WILL NOT be re-visiting the hotel ever again..........

i went to benidorm just me and my children i was a little nervous to be honest i had never taken them away alone before, i have to say we had just the greastest time ever, i felt safe everywhere we went being a women alone with two children in a foreign country as i say was a little scary! but it was not in the least.... the staff in the hotel were very kind and freindly towards us.. the food overall was nice. my only bad comment i could say would be they need more lifts as goin to meal times became a bit of a drag waiting for the lifts, but then we used to walk down to the dining area, guess thats why we have legs!! but that really is the only thing i have to say that is bad, the rest of our time there was brill... we would definatly go back to stay at the regente.

I like many otheres was dreading the Regente.However it was a pleasant surprise! The hotel was very clean and the food was fine as well. The bar staff were a tad ignorant,but i just never tipped them!!The trip to medieval night in which was booked through Thomson rep was a complete waste of money.We got picked up at 8 20 and were kept on the bus until 910 pm ..Rushed in and the show had started..Tumblers were absolutly filthy ...Show itself was ok but we were back at hotel at 11pm!! We paid £80 for 2 adults and a child for less than 3 hours...We complained to rep but she had taken our money and didnt give a hoot. The rep was very poor indeed and like others i spoke to she would not give out complainfs forms.

we went to the hotel regente 18 july till 1st aug... ill start with the food .. well i f you like chips your well in they did do some lovely stuff but it was not for all and i did get ryther red up of children playing with the food or taking a bite or dipping there fingers in and putting it back ,mind you its not the hotels fault...... breakfast was ok but we only had it twice they serve it early and early finish ,wen you go away u go to have a lay in .... the maid service was ok but she seamed to come to us about 10 am and we was still in bed till 11 so we had to tell her to come back all the time other people said they never saw therse ...... the entertainment was ok victor was so fab bless him he trys to please all but the entertaINMENT ON A NIGHT WAS A DRAB SO WE WENT OUT ALL THE TIME .... the pool was great the kids loved it but the bigger kids kept jumping of the wall the bar stff kept telling them of but they gave up in the end they was jumping in the pool from a big wall and it happened they jumped on a mans head the fellow was badly injured..... while i was over there during my 2nd week i got impatigo and tonsilitus.the staff was so caring well the receptionist reberto and the rep was so caring to .. the kids club was great it was 100% kid freindly and safe but if you want them in the night club make sure u sighn them in b4 4pm then they are in.... i was glad to get home in the end for my bed it was a ok holiday i would go to benidorm again but guess what NOT STAYING IN THE HOTEL REGENTE..... i can say that the staff was ok but waiting for a drink for your evening meal was bryond a joke and and wen you wanted serving at the bar its true it was like they was doing you a favour and they will give you ur change in little change so u leave it for them as tips i learned that ........ just keep ur eyes out for pic pockets and people on the steerts with scratch cards just say no no no
A tale of two halfs from philmay
We stayed at the Regente July 15th to 29th. The rooms were basic but clean. The food and service were very good for the first week, but poor for the second! we think this was down to the hotel being busy due to the start of the school holidays. The first week as soon as we sat down the waiter was there to take our drinks order, for the second week had to chase him around to get him to serve us ( between his smoke breaks ) The bar entertainment was very poor Victor tries hard, but let down by poor equipment. his computer broke down so there was no karaoke etc, in the evenings. But he does bingo and quizzes and there is one act per evening that lasts about 45 minutes. The entertainment was held outside next to the swimming pool, but would have been better in the main air conditioned bar. During our second week groups of kids were running around the hotel messing with lifts, and banging on peoples doors. The bar staff in the main bar we very unhelpful, and thought they were doing you a favour by serving you. The bar shuts at 01.30, but they switched off the pool table lights at 12.45, whilst we were playing a game. And refused to serve us with coffee at 01.10 because they had already turned off the machine. There is a machine selling water, but during our two week stay it was out of service about 50% of the time ( we asked for water at reception and were told to go to the bar opposite the hotel ) The kids club was very badly run, at our reps meeting on the Sunday we were told that due to a lack of kids, all the age groups would be put together ( not much fun for the older kids ) were also told to sign our kids up for that nights club at 4pm ( the club started at 7.30 pm ) but when we tried to sign them up at 4.10 pm we got told it was to late as it was already full! The Thompsons rep was a waste of time, we spoke to her about the bar staff, and were told she would speak to the manager and get back to us, but she never spoke to him, despite us seeing her a few more times, and would not let us have a complaints form. When we go back to Benidorm we will not stay at this hotel again, as there are plenty of others with better facilities, more helpfull bar staff, and nearer the beach and main nightlife.
Great Holiday from JASONBL1
The Hotel Regente is a great 3 star hotel. I was worried when reading reports about food hygiene. There is no problems with the hygiene at this hotel. We stayed for 7 nights and abousuletly loved it. Rooms were cleaned every day, and they were not rushed either. The food variety was great, cooked English breakfast everyday and good serving times. Security is good. If you are thinking about going to the Regente, don't let bad feeds on this site change your mind as it really is good. Only thing is the beach is about 500yds from hotel. Benidorm is a great place for all with lots to do for familys and for partying all night long, some great clubs and if you do go, stay away from sticky vicky lol. Thanks Benidorm for a great holiday.
