Hotel Playa Victoria

We spent four nights at the hotel and were immediately impressed by its cleanliness and attention to environmentally friendly features. Very spacious feel to whole hotel, free towels and limited selection of drinks available at swimming pool and the large sunbathing terrace. Staff very professional but friendly also. Victoria Playa is right in front of the hotel and is a Blue Ribbon beach- one of the best beaches I have visited for amenities. Plenty of cafes and bars along the beach without being tacky. Stayed at the Playa Victoria for two nights recently with my husband on a 12 day trip around Spain. We loved the location with a great beach right outside the hotel. The hotel's lobbies and facilities were very nice and gave the hotel some character that seemed to be missing from some of the other hotels that were in the area. The pool was fairly small but with the beach right there we didn't find that to be much of an issue. This hotel is right beside the lovely Victoria beach. It's a 40 minute walk to the old town along by the beach. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was fine. Lots of bars round about for late night tapas. The hotel's underground car park costs 12 euros a night.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise, spotless, modern, well priced (104 Euro), great beach. Highly recommended.

Granted, they gave us a very pleasant junior suite when we called in late at night in an emergency situation. The pleasure of this, however, was marred by the MOST UNPLEASANT STAFF EVER ENCOUNTERED (except for the night porter on duty upon our arrival at midnight 10/11 September!). So, if you're looking for "service" or "politeness", to say the least, you'd be better off choosing another hotel...
