A fantastic holiday We have just arrived back after spending a fantastic week at Playa Moreia apartments in S’illot. It is located practically right on the beach; the sea view apartments at the front are well work paying the extra for. The rooms are clean and cleaned... more

This hotel is set right by the lovely beach of S'illot.
The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly.
The hotel pool area has plenty of sunbeds for everyone the only fault I found is if you are a non swimmer the pool goes very deep quickly.

We have been here time and time again. The sea view is to die for. The hotel staff are fantastic, really helpful. We ate in the hotel restaurant for the first time and the Mallorcan meal was lovely. The rooms are cleaned every 2 days. Many other bars and resturants around... more

The Apartements Playa Moreya/Moreia are in a fabulous spot and are very clean and well cared for. They are only 2 keys, but are better than many 3 key places I have been. However, there is no air conditioning, only ceiling fans. We were never uncomfortably hot, but it was... more

We were moved to this hotel two weeks before flying and weren't to keen but had no option. When we arrived at the hotel the night porter did not have our booking and said that there was 'no room'. He was quite rude and said to wait for the manager. When the manager did come... more

Just got back had a brilliant time.
Fantastic resort, plenty of sun sand & sea.
Went with my wife and our daughters of 23,21& 15 they loved it as much as we did.
We felt very happy to let them go off & do thier own thing while we relaxed on the beach or sat sipping a cool beer by the pool.
Look forward to next year.

We just came back from a 4 night stay (end of May 2008) here. Overall, I'd say don't bother. Pay a little extra for a hotel with better service. If you must choose this hotel, make sure you pay the extra for the seaview as the other side would get too hot. The studio was... more

Was Alright
travelled to this resort during june 2003. Rooms were big enough for family of 4. We had a really nice sea view and were treated to a fantastic firework display on the second last night of our stay. Found the actual area of s'illot a bit on the small and quiet side. Some of the restuarants were poor ....... daughter caught salmonella !!! However Bar Tennis and Tony's were excellent, We have been to many places in majorca ... this was not the best but not the worst .... nice beach right across the road . The pool area was very small and a bit crowded at times Watch out in the small bar area " THE CAVE" if you are tall you may rattle your head a few times haha Evening entertainment was really good most night with lots of audience participation.. All in all a nice relaxing holiday just a little isolated a hire car would have been handy
loved it
we stayed at this hotel in 2004 and 2005 but this year went for a change in alcudia which was awful just wish we had stuckwith the playa moreia although the apartments are basic they are clean and spacious and always nice to have 2 lovely bathrooms, i have just e mailed them for a price for next year so that says a lot for the place, the staff here a re very honest and friendly people and beautiful beach just outside would highly recommend it
What a holiday!
We came here last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay; so much we booked direct this year and returned. Having never booked direct the procedure was straight forward and the staff very helpful organising the transfers at a very good price that despite a delay went very smoothly. They have their own website with all the details on. A fantastic location, directly next to the beach and within a short stroll to near by Sa Coma. Within seconds or minutes walk there is very good choice of places to eat all at good prices. The area is quieter than resorts like Santa Ponsa, Magaluf etc but if you want somewhere to party and have noise 24/7 then this is not the place. The apartments are basic but very clean and have all you need, rooms cleaned every other day, staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities are good, the pool area good with plenty of room and chairs. Be it at the back or front, you are not overlooked and have great views. Entertainment is very good with some excellent shows and if wanted, you can participate in some and let your hair down, there is entertainment every night and also throughout the day activities are arranged. There is a rule that the music stops at midnight, this is great if you want to get your head down or have a quite chat and drink. For those who do want to party, a few minutes away are some late bars tucked away out of earshot. If you want, trips, excursions, car hire or a taxi, these can be arranged through the reception. What amazed us is the friendliness at the apartments, the kids mixing with many others and nationalities and thoroughly enjoying themselves, even creating a website showing what a good time they had and all going back next year. There is plenty for the kids to do with bike, electric scooter hire locally, sub aqua trials in the pool and the usual beach activities nearby. Having visited Majorca many times have now found a great place, perfect location, trouble free and caters for all needs, would be happy going with younger and older children as well as our own as it has all the necessary facilities and a place we will be going back to for many years.
Excellent
We have just returned from staying at this Playa Moreia. The hotel is very family orientated and safe for the children. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and clean for the 5 of us. Henreitta manages the hotel and will go out of her way to help you. The staff are extremely friendly also. The only downside is if you do stay there try and get an apartment with a seaview as it is a lot cooler. Our apartment was at the back of the hotel which was very warm at night. The entertainment at the hotel was also good The beach is also directly opposite the hotel. Please note the travelling time from the airport to the hotel is about 1 hour. Overall I would definately recommened this hotel for familes.
returning for the 3rd year running!
have stayed at the Playa Moreia S'illot for the past 2 years and have booked to go again this August! My party consists of a 12yr old boy and two 30 something adults. This hotel is a little dated, but what it lacks in modern details it more than makes up for by its outstanding location and great staff. The rooms do get a little warm, so take an old club card and stick that in the electricity card holder, this will keep your fan on all day -and keep your room a little cooler, if possible ask for a room with a seaview - breathtakingly beautiful. ideal for either families or older couples who are looking for a hassle free holiday. The area is really safe and its just a short walk along a flat promenade to Sa Coma which is a little more lively. If you are looking for a relaxing family holiday then go here, if you are looking for an 18 -30 style break, then don't bother!
A great basic accommodation in a fantastic area
I stayed at the Playa Moreya Apartments with Direct Holidays in August 2003-in the middle of a heatwave! The rooms are spacious and clean, even if they do look a little tatty. In fact it was a shock because they had keycard doors so when we say the rooms we were a little let down. But, for a two star it was very good. We were allocated a room at the rear of the building so it was not the greatest of views, but we were sheltered from the karaoke. However, it did get unbearably hot as one ceiling fan is not suficient in 37degree heat, so i would advise going for a sea view room where you can get a welcome sea breeze. The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English (and German, and Italian, and Dutch...)The on site mini market was not very well stocked and quite expensive, but there are an abundance of "supermarkets" nearby which have a lot more choice at a lower cost. You will be given a welcome pack which you will be charged for unless you return it(or you can pick and mix certain items) The pool itself was very clean but on the small side. It starts off very shallow but quickly gets a lot deeper(if I remember correctly 8" deep) so be careful when swimming. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced, with friendly staff. We didnt go on many excursions except the Inca market-which was a real disappointment. We found that where we were shown around they sold tat basically, but if you did it yourself i'm sure you could find a bargain (or five!). The Direct Holidays reps were friendly and approachable although invisible at the airport when you're trying to find your coach. My Travel provided a very good service where the flight is concerned, no delays and very good food. Talking of good food, I would recommend Suizo and Terramundi Pot as the top restaurants. If you follow the coastline you'll find it easily, but don't go over the bridge because then you're going in the wrong direction! One last piece of advice would be don't go up the main steps leading to the reception, there is an entrance to the right of these steps which leads into the bar and a lift can be taken to go up one level(much easier). Overall, it is a good base for enjoying a holiday on a budget, but don't expect luxury as it is just a two star (although I would say 3 star myself).
playamoreia apartments. The best.
We have just stayed at the Playamoreia apartments in silott and it was excellent. It was right in front of the lovely beach, with shops, supermarket and lovely places to eat all around. The staff in the hotel were the friendliest we have ever met. Nothing was a trouble for them and they worked so hard, one of them even dressing as a clown every day to entertain the children. The rooms are lovely with cleaning every other day. We asked for a sea view when we booked and we were on floor 7 overlooking the sea. There was entertainment every night which is great for families. The bar is lovely, part of it is like small caves, so unusual. The reception area is excellent, and there is a resteraunt and fast food cafe and games room. The pool wasnt used much while we were there so there are plenty of beds. I think most people go to the beach because its so near. The area of silott is very friendly with mostly familys, and you can walk along the prom to Sa coma which is also a very nice place. We ate out most nights and a place we recomend is Tonys which is opposite the accomodation. The most amazing fish ever. In the day, lots of people hire bikes and go carts for on the prom. One of our best holidays. Amazing.
Playa Moreya. Sillot. First Class.
My family and I stayed in the Playa Moreya for the first time in August. We found the accodation, staff and enterainment for the young and adults excellent. We have booked a return trip next year already. Sillot itself is beautiful and just across the bridge was Sa Coma. It has been one of our best holidays and we have had quite a few across the globe. Ultan
Lovely view
Had two weeks at the Playa Moreya this year and it was a return visit. Last year we booked with Airtours/Direct Holidays and this year we booked our own flights and accomodation direct with the hotel. We saved around £1000 booking ourselves. Would agree with previous reviewer that "S'llot has a lot!". The hotel is in a superb location overlooking the sea, and is ideal for families, no busy road like Porte Cristo. Rooms are cleaned every other day, towels changed when required. We had two studios so had two bathrooms, two cooking areas, two kettles, toasters etc. Celing fans help to keep you cool......if you visit mid summer you need them. Just booked to return next summer which speaks for itself!
Sillot has alot!
Just booked again this will be our sixth year at the Playa Moreya. The hotel may not be the most modern, to be quiet honest it is basic but the rooms are spacious and clean and its location is fantastic. There is so much potential for this hotel as Sillot is one of the best kept secrets I've been let into. The resort may be small but offers enough facilities to keep everyone busy. We love it.
