Onix Rambla Hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights in June. First of all it is a great location for city sigtseeing, 5 mins walk from Las Ramblas. The hotel itself is extremely clean & well presented. We had a 3rd floor room with a 2 big windows which you can open & let in the sounds of Barcelona. We didnt part take in the Breakfast as there were nice cafes & a Starbucks near by for a quick breakfast. The staff were extremely nice & friendly. A bonus is the sun deck at the top of the hotel with a small but cute swimming pool. You wont find a swimming pool in alot... more

This is a very nice hotel located two blocks west of the Placa Catalunya. Many of the main tourist attractions -- Las Ramblas, Bari Gothique, Passieg de Gracia -- are all within easy walking distance. The hotel is located on a fairly quiet street away from the Ramblas madhouse. Stops for four different subway lines are located within two blocks of the hotel. The room was clean and modern. We stayed there for 4 nights in April 2007 and loved the hotel. It's modern style with very nice, comfortable, clean rooms. The location is great. You can easily walk to wonderful sites or to public transportation. They serve a breakfast buffet with really good Cafe con Leche. The service was wonderful. Staff was incredibly helpful and truly seemed to enjoy giving us advice and suggestions. There is also a great restaurant next door.

Myself and my pal are just back after a two night stay and we couldn't of asked for a more central hotel that was clean, brand new and staff were very friendly. We phoned the hotel at the last minute and got the twin room for 95euro per night. The room was at the front of the hotel with a lovely balcony and the noise from the street did not bother us. My wife and I stayed at the hotel in June for 6 nights and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. My wife was 7 months pregnant which we told the hotel and whilst all roo ms may be as good, ours was spacious and clean and near the lift. In a great location (5 min walk from North end of Las Ramblas and 2 mins from nearest tube) and surrounded by cafes and bars. We have just stayed at Hotel Onix Rambla for 4 days and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is new, exceptionally clean & well equipped. It’s very centrally situated (only a 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas) and provides an excellent breakfast until a very civilised 11am (fresh fruit, juice, cereal, Danish pastries, yoghurt, toast, cold meats & cheeses, hot bacon, eggs, Spanish omelette and sausages). We just returned from a four night stay at Onix Rambla in Barcelona. With an excellent location, the Onix is an oasis of calm in a very busy, noisy city. We requested a quiet room and unlike most hotels , they actually gave us a very quiet and peacefull room . The room was spacious and comfortable ; the large marble clad , well lit bathroom was very convenient. The staff was polite and efficient and helpfully answered all our questions and concerns. I highly recommend this hotel .

We had 3 families in 4 rooms at the Onix Ramblas for a week last summer. Ages ranged from 11 to 72. It was a great hotel at any price and a great deal overall. The rooms were spacious and clean. Don't expect room service - just hit the street! You can not ask for a better location in Barcelona. The tour buses pass 1 1/2 blocks away. The busy section of the Ramblas is a merciful 5 blocks away - much quieter at the Onix and not a far walk at all. Corte Ingles is right around the corner. The staff was helpful in every way.... more

We were happy that our friends had recommended this hotel to us, since we had not seen mention of it in any of our trip-planning resources (probably because it is relatively new), and it turned out to be perfect. The location couldn't have been better, the hotel was comfortable and very clean, and the price extremely reasonable. Just returned after a five day stay at the Onix Rambla in that great city of Barcelona. Have been to BCN before so knew what to expect from competing hotels and was pleasantly surprised by the offerings from this property. The roof top pool was very nice and rooms fairly big. Bathroom was nice with a tub, toiletries sub-standard but for a three star property, I would not complain. Beds very comfy and A/C worked to perfection. The staff, however, was absolutely terrible.
