This hotel is comfy, convenient & well positioned in the center of Las Americas. Food is delicious, staff pleasant, back gate onto promenade, pools are bathed in sun all day with plenty of loungers. Bliss!!!
Can't understand what these people are moaning about. Can't wait to go back in July this year.

We checked in on September 18th for 10 nights All Inclusive. Staff were mostly friendly. Easy and quick check in. As already stated by reviewers this is not a 4* hotel. It may have been in 1979 going by the photos at the entrance but now it is run down and in need of a full... more

We have just returned from a week fully inclusive at the ~Sol Tenerife, the hotel itself is kept very clean, the bar staff were lovely and generally very friendly, as were the pool attendants and cleaners around the pool area. Unfortunately the restaurant, really lets this... more

We have just arrived back from a week at this hotel. Don't go there unless you like LOUD MUSIC! The hotel is next to Veronica strip which is a row of nightclubs. We were in room 625 (having asked for a quiet room.....) and our balcony overlooked the strip. Music went on... more

As many people have stated this is not a 4* hotel. The food was quite revolting and not of a standard that you would expect from a 4* hotel. The hot food was never hot, more warm and sometimes bordering on cold. Breakfast was OK- as long as it wasnt the cooked breakfast. I... more

Here is my honest opinion of this hotel and location. I normally read reviews and think .... there is always someone moaning on..... but with this hotel everything people have said on here is soooo true. Location, right on the beach which was good. Entertainment not bad.... more

Firstly, it cannot possibly achieve 4* status - think 2* plus. 11 floors, dozens of rooms on each floor and 2 small lifts, one dodgy. Takes 10 mins to get up/down every time. No bell boy for your luggage and no trolleys. The pool areas are actually very nice and the... more

My mother and I visited this hotel on November of last year and we planned to go back this October. Obviously we were happy with all aspects of the hotel and that was even without a good view and we were on the ground floor. I would recommend it at this time of year, lovely views from the pool area and nice food and good service.

I usually go on a family holiday with wife and 2 kids but this report is for a stag do. First of all this is definitely not a 4 star hotel, no way, but it is clean especially our rooms which were spotless. Room 265 in the second tower away from Veronicas. The location is... more

Problems encountered sol tenerife hotel
My wife and I a mature couple have just spent a week at the sol tenerife. In our opinion this is not a four star hotel 3 just about covers it although the food and service was adequate. Unfortunately the location is far from ideal for anybody over the age of 35 or families. This is because it has discos and night clubs on 3 sides all within 200mtrs proximity. There are a limited number of rooms not effected by the incessant music which started every night at approx 11.30pm and continued until 6.30am. Again although nothing to do with the... more
Brilliant
I have just came back from a weeks trip from tenerife, the weather was fantastic, the hotel i would say is not 4 star but really clean and quiet. The food is of a good variety and good table service. If your one for sunbathing next to the pool better wake up early for a bed as they go very quickly. As you come out the hotel i would advise turning right as left is more for younger people as its clubs. The rooms are filled with mosquitos but the hotel can supply you with spray soon dont come back.i had a lovely time hope you do too.
A big Let down
This hotel is situated in the heart of Playa de las Americas, and has the potential to be a fantastic package holiday. The hotel was very clean and would suit holiday makers on a room only basis, however if bed and breakfast or even worse half board please be prepared for a rather enormous let down as the food was awful. For such a clean and essentially pleasant hotel, I would expect the food to be at least of similar standard.
4 Star!?!? Your're Having A Laugh!
We booked a holiday to the Sol Tenerife through Flygobespan a week before we departed. The price we paid was reasonable and thought we had got a good bargain for a 4 star hotel, however the hotel is the pits. When we first arrived at approx 2pm our rooms were still being cleaned and had to wait another hour before checking in. The room we were eventually allocated had a stale smell, was dark and small. The pool area is in major need of refurbishment and if you don't set you're alarm for at least 7.30am you have no chance of getting a... more
Don't Stay Here!!!!!!!
Don't stay here! We've just returned back from Tenerife, and we didn't even end up staying in this hotel. As we walked in it was full of stale cigarette smoke, the rooms were awful. Definately not a 4 star hotel, expedia who we booked it through even told us it wasn't an actual 4 star!!!!! Didn't stay in there for long, if i'd advise anywhere to stay for a lovely, comfortable, well worth your money stay i'd advise you chose staying in Costa Adeje (5 mins away from Playa De Las Americas) in a hote called Costa Adeje Grand. Now thats a hotel... more
Good for people looking for lively, central location
Went to the Sol Tenerife in Feb 06 with a friend. We were looking for a beach holiday with nightlife in the evening and this hotel is ideally located for that. It's right next to Palm beach and very close to the restaurants, bars and nightlife (literally next door). It is next to Veronicas strip of bars and nightclubs and the block of apartments nearest to Veronicas does suffer from noise - so not a place to stay if you want quiet nights in. We were in the other block and on the night we stayed in didn't hear any noise at all. (Must... more
Loved it!
I went to this hotel last year during the summer, the weather was great, the beach was sandy, the shops were nearby not to mention two mcdonalds within 10min walkin distance(sitting at the beach or the one near the shops and nightlife) you have everything you need right outside the door. I think this is one for people out for a laugh or teenagers as its pretty much jumping outside after midnight and the bedrooms tend 2 fill out with the music playing outside which was a plus for me listenin to people singin on the karaoke before a night out... more
Wonderful Hotel
We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We were initially given an adjoining room as we were with our inlaws. Although the hotel was very busy the reception staff moved us the following day without hesitation. The food in the hotel is excellent as there is plenty of variation and choice especially for health minded people. The salads are excellent. There is plenty of fruit yoghurts cakes sweets and the main courses have a wonderful fish selection. Breakfast consists of fruit, buns and pastries. There is bacon scrambled eggs... more
Food disgusting! 2 Star Max!!
Just returned from a week at Sol Tenerife. Nine of us went as a family. We travel abroad 4 times per year, using minimum 4 star hotels, this one has been the worst. Don't know where they get their rating! Rooms ok, clean but small. Could do with up-grading. Tried the food three times, then gave up. Evening meals/lunches awful. Same rubbish day in/day out. My parents are not fussy eaters at all, but even they couldn't stomach the muck served there. Breakfast food ok, but you have to set your own table, and queue separately... more
Good value
Overall excellent value for money although the hotel was far from a 4*, more like a british 2* or 3*. Food excellent although the queues for hot drinks in the morning could be unbearable. I think the waiters could have at least served drinks, all they did was clear tables, that was it. 2 pools, one heated, one not. More sunbeds needed. The bath in our room was rusty and needed replacing.
