A lovely quaint, traditional fishing village, very quiet and peaceful. Handy for Whitby and enjoyed beautiful country walks while there. Some nice local pubs and a pretty harbour.
We enjoyed a day in Whitby, lovely town and the Abbey a must. Also did a 4 mile walk with the dog, which was very well signposted and an absolute joy, stunning scenery of the coast and passed through a lovely wood.
The cottage itself was basic but well equipped, however the shower was a disgrace. Filthy black grout and stains round the cubicle. Needs an urgent bathroom upgrade. Only there for the weekend which is just as well as neither of us would use the shower and had to do with sponge baths at the sink!!
