Reviews of Avantiki Resort Hotel, Calangute

Avantika is a basic Goan hotel. Travelled with a friend and we had a pleasant twin room with air-con, ceiling fan & fridge, located beside the pool.



Room was cleaned daily, as were all public areas, and the pool was kept in a clean condition.



Included breakfast was toast & coffee/tea which was served beside the pool, other options available at a small charge. (Bacon/egg butties were a good choice).



Menu was extensive, however many items were unavailable, this does not cause any problems as there are countless places to eat a short walk away and part of the enjoyment of Goa is eating at a different restaurant each day.



Both food & drinks are very cheap. Position of Avantika is good, a short walk along a lit lane from the resort centre (as 2 females we felt quite safe walking there by day or night) and very peaceful away from the noise of the resort.



Staff at the hotel were very helpful; anything we asked for (extra coathangers, pool towels, and candles for the power cuts) arrived quickly.



Taxis available just outside hotel. Bus stop 3-4 mins walk away.



On the whole a good value hotel which I would return to.



If you are looking for luxury, this won't be for you but if you want a good value clean hotel with smiling staff then it's a good choice.

Went to this hotel on the 17th feb 07 for a week.



I got room 208 its a small room at the top of the hotel and it dose not have any day light

at all, just the 4walls. When I booked the hotel in 06 the tour company airtours did not tell me at the time of booking that not all rooms have pool view.



So you could be put at the back of the hotel. The rooms at the back of the hotel are very very bad. No joke, I was there a week at and 6 people checked out of the hotel as they got rooms at the back of the hotel.



Just be careful if you go here, it’s not what it says. There are better hotels in Goa.....I give the hotel 2 out of ten that bad sorry but have to tell the truth
