Hotel Gloria Palace Royal Reviews
A very pleasant atmosphere, all staff very nice communicative and competent. The hotel is very comfortable with nice pool, spa and a lot of activities. Despite is a bit far from beach, there is a very comfortable free communication with the beach and Maspalomas. Nice view but only from 2nd floor and above.

We stayed here as a family 2 adults 2 children 12 and 10 .
This fantastic hotel is situated between two lovely beaches one at Puerto Rico and the other Amadores with a footpath stretching along the coast line connecting them.Plenty watersports, bars and restaurants at both resorts.
The staff are very polite and helpful and seem proud to work there.
The majority of the rooms are spacious well kept and clean and almost all of them face the beautiful sea views from your own balcony which have tables, chairs and sunbeds on them. The rooms have tv's, coolers, air conditioning, hairdriers, fantastic strong showers with plenty hot water and there are rooms specifically equipped for people with disabilities. The cleaners do a top job supplying clean towels, cleaning the rooms well every day.
The hotel has a breathtaking view of the sea with two large chlorinated pools and a small one in the childrens club .One of the pools is equipped for people with disabilities. There are more than enough sunbeds and parasols for guests.Activities carry on during the day
Food and drinks are excellent with plenty variety available and there is the choice of buffet style restaurant or bar snacks both with really good service

I´m from Spain, and I don´n speak english very well, but I want to tell you, that two weeks ago, we stay on holidais in Gran Canaria (Spain), and we stayed at GLORIA PALACE AMADORES hotel. Our experience was incredible. The bedrooms are spacious and confortable, clean and in very good condition.
The food was very good. we had a great time with the animation team. We have never seen a staff as friendly. They was our best holidays at the moment.
If you are looking to visit Spain, this hotel is one of your best option. Good weather all year, good food, good instalations and the better staff.
Excuseme for my bad english.
Enjoy your holidays as we, on GLORIA PALACE AMADORES

From the moment we arrived, we were treated to luxury! Champagne on check-in, a fantastic large room with sea view, beautifully clean hotel throughout. The food was really good quality with so much choice it was difficult to know what to try first!
What to say about the pool, well it was to die for!! We absolutely loved the infinity pool, it looked beautiful and it was even better to dip into during the heat of the day. The best pool we have ever been lucky enough to swim in and we really hope to be able to stay at the Gloria Palace Royal again very soon.

4th visit since there is no need to improve on perfection. Guaranteed weather something to eat for even the fussiest they seem to cater well for children and the entertainment is good varied content each week. Views are spectacular even secluded nudist bathing is thats your thing. House singer Fina is excellent and there is a great atmosphere in the lounge in the evenings as a result. Much improved on recent years more professional introductions from the animation team . Only criticism is they ask for your details each trip but dont acknowledge you are a returning guest. Highly recommended to all. We'll be back..

Like many others.we checked reviews of this hotel before booking. We were certainly not dissappointed upon our arrival.
The reception desk and area had amazing views through a massive glass window which stretched the full width of the reception area.
A glass of champagne was offered whilst booking in with the very friendly reception staff.
We had booked a suite as this was a special holiday. to celebrate our 40th wedding aniversary.
The room was lovely with a massive double bed, a double balcony with a separate living room ( as this was a suite )We also had twin lovely private sunbeds on the balcony which meant we could move around to be either in the sun or shaded area. Due to this we usually spent our afternoons on the balcony which meant we could move around to be in the full sun or shade. All meals were of a very high quality with so much choice that I tended as most do to over indulge for the first few days. The infinity pool was ideally placed and set off the location of this hotel.
There was a convenient lift down to the road with a few minutes walk to the beach. We were all inclusive and had no surprises added to our bill upon departure
To finalise this was the best hotel which we have stayed in during many many visits to the Canary Islands & is highly recommended

We have travelled the world and this the perfect holiday for us hence 4th visit. For civilised holiday you can't beat it.
Quiet location (near enough night life if you seek it 10 minutes away) guaranteed sunshine, pleasant staff and the comfortable rooms are spotless. They all have a fantastic view of the beautiful beach. Ask for a room on the top floor to prevent clacking heels above you.
Would recommend all inclusive since you are provided with lunch and snacks, icecream and afternoon tea an cake. Branded soft drinks not the yicky stuff you get in some AI hotels, cocktails are included too so you will want for nothing.
Food is good something for everyone they cater well for kids and there is a good variety. Of course you can't please some people given some of the reviews I have seen elsewhere.
Beach towels are provided for you "free" on all inclusive too and plenty of beds. The beach is a bit of a trek if you prefer it.
There are two lovely pools and pool bars. Entertainment every night and agin you can't please everyone.
There are activities during the day and these are discreet no one is chasing you to participate as you find in some hotels.
Kids club seems to be well organised and the small people seem to enjoy it and it keeps them quiet.
(We dont have any so thats a bonus)
Be sure you are reading reviews for "Royal" some of the feedback relates to the "Amadores" no comparision in reality !
Highly recommended to all our only criticism is apart from some of the staff they don't acknowledge you are a regular guest. They do however welcome feedback.

We have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Great pool areas although the infinity pool area was very congested we chose to use the top pool which was quieter.
The food is varied and very good -should suit all eaters. The dining room is large and can be busy.
On the whole the staff were very helpful and pleasant.
We booked AI but would not choose this again as there were too many restrictions. Basically you get your meals in the restaurant and drinks with meals (horrible white wine, OK Rose, beer and soft drinks). The AI drinks at the pool bars (check what is inclusive on the menus) but no snacks or ice creams (other than small kids size tubs of ice cream and a small selection of snacks like hot dogs and pizza at the downstairs pool bar) and only at certain times of the day.
The evening entertainment is horrendous - don't bother - no atmosphere and dreadful singers and acts. Much better off going out of the Hotel and visiting other bars etc.
The AI drinks here are only available until 11.30pm. We were charged a massive £32 euros for 2 drinks on New Years Eve at 12.30 - we had already paid a extra for the Gala night!!!!
I would recommend the hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday but don't bother with AI and just have the breakfast and maybe the odd evening meal here. Go off the site and use other restaurants and bars.
A must is to visit Puerto Mogan - wonderful place (either bus or taxi) - also some lovely restaurants, bars and shops. Market there on Fridays (avoid if don't like markets - very busy and spoils the views).

Wow what can i stay, an excellent holiday. On arrival at the hotel at 11pm, we were greeted with champagne and a cold food plater, assisted to our room which was spacious and clean. Travelling with 2 small children my mind was put at rest when i saw the beds were made and the cot was new. The staff in reception spoke very good english and the waiters were extremly helpful with the children and couldn't do enough for us. The food was to a high standard with a different menu everyday in the buffet restaurant, with tastes to suit all even my 1 and 4 year eat well! The animation team were worth their weight in gold and entertained the children throughout the day around the pool and in the bar in the evening. The hotel was quite with loads of sunbeds, the pool was stunning and if you want a relaxing holiday this time of year was good. Although you had to walk 3 mins to beach along the road, its well worth it as the views from the hotel down are lovely. We were all inclusive but most stayed half board and stated the drinks were expensive so i would recommend all inclusive.
It has recently been taken over by the Gloria palace and was known as Hotel dunas amadores, so lots of reviews given are for the other hotel around the cliff, so double check which one you book, as ours was quiter than the other one. Highly recommended it.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful to look at, looks like something out of The Flintstone's! Our bedrooms were nothing short of luxury. The decor was very tasteful & we were equipped with a phone, tv & wonderful bathroom facilities. The only down side to the rooms were the balcony's - there is absolutely no sunshine! I agree with the other comments in that the place was spotless, however it was sometimes over the top. We would be sleeping in bed at 6am & the cleaners would be scrubbing the sandstone outside the room door! It was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in in my life! You could hear every car that passed on the main road & the noise from the trolleys (cleaning staff or restaurant staff) going past your door were constant. The hotel complex itself was absolutely gorgeous, the pools were very clean & the views from the pool area's are second to none. The staff are very friendly & try to do all that they can to help. Again, the only down side to the hotel staff was that they catered largely for the German guests & we found that the entertainment/atmosphere was non existant. We were Bed & Breakfast and we found that the breakfast was very good, the couple we were on holiday didn't like the food as it wasn't traditionally English but this was not a problem for us. The variety & freshness of the food was excellent & we found that everyone (well almost everyone) who ate at breakfast time really enjoyed the food. This hotel would be excellent if it had catered a little more for English speaking guests. Overall, it was beautiful & I would love to stay there again but maybe with a large group of friends to ensure a good atmosphere.

WOW! This hotel is lush.... It surpassed my expectations having been to Gran Canaria several times in the past. The cleanliness is awesome. Every part of the hotel is mopped, polished and scrubbed daily. The staff are very helpful. The food is great. It's very well positioned just above Amadores beach - if you are looking for an extra special evening meal, I would recommend either Cafe Le Mar or the Bistro for some amazing food... both are found at the Amadores Beach. One thing to be aware of though - there is a massive hill leading up to reception which can be avoided throughout the holiday - except the last day when you have to hand back your key card and you're waiting to be picked up! It's guarenteed to make you sweat!! - 10/10 place - and the pools are to die for.... will be going back for sure!

My wife and I spent 2 wonderful weeks at Hotel Gloria Palace Royal by the great beach of Amadores Gran Canaria in medio january 2012. The hotel really met our expectations from recomendatitins that was given to us by friends prior to our trip. The room was very comfortably equipt with good beds and soft sheets. A fantastic view over the beach and osean from the balcony. Every day the room was cleand and looked after by first class staff that made sure our experience only could be the best. We didn't go for the all inclusive package at first, but from our experience the buffets was so great and contained so many variations of differnt dishes that we will surely recomend the all inclusive alternative to our friends.
The hotel have several swimmingpools and you will surely find one you'll like. We spent much time at the roof-terrace, with the pool and a lovely bar where the quiet atmosphere suited us perfectly.
In every sence these two weeks were wonderful and a major reason was the friendly way of the hotel staff, the hotel facilities in general and the location by Amadores beach.
