The paraiso beach hotel has a very relaxed feling the kind you want when on holiday, this is due to it being for adults only, the food was excellent and that is coming from someone who is a fussy eater, the wide choice and variety of food was really good and if you want a... more

loved the holiday
Went to this Hotel in middle of June and can honestly saw we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we went as a family group of my husband and me both 42 and our two kids 22 and 20 must say though our son found things a little two slow at this resort but for the rest of us it was fine. The staff makes this hotel such a pleasure to stay at they were all friendly, nothing was too much trouble and a very special mention for Juan and Adrian who kept our glasses filled ,and made us laugh. On arrival we had a courtesy cocktail which was refreshing the staff on reception were lovely also. Food was very good with plenty of choice, most of the entertainment was good, everywhere was very clean we would return here again but only stay in the the poolside rooms. The only downfall we could see with the hotel was the room around the pool (sorry not enough sun beds) as spiteful people out early putting towels on them and disappearing for food and out the hotel, sorry not seen this before done by the English we were shocked and disappointed (and for those that read this if this is one of you you're spoiling it for everyone) but that over thanks to all the staff there, for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
A bit let down
We normally stay in gold hotels but when this holiday came up at a reasonable price and had very good reviews also adult only I thought it would be ideal. In future I will pay that bit extra and stay in a gold hotel. The rooms were basic, the food and staff were very good. The pool area is quite small and not a lot of sunbeds but we did manage to get on them just once, the rest of the time we had a nice stroll down to Martina Beach (turn left out of hotel) which we liked because it was so quiet. Es Cana is a small & quiet resort which is good because you don't get the hassles like you do in the larger resorts. We went on a boat ride to Santa Eulelia which is very nice & clean. We still enjoyed our stay at this small & friendly hotel but we have been spoilt by staying at the Marina Panorama.
dissapointing after great reviews
We have just returned from the paraiso hotel with mixed feelings .All reports for this hotel were good which made us choose this hotel over some of the others in es cana.It IS a very friendly hotel because its size means you see the same people and staff in and around the hotel frequently. the hotel has only 72 rooms so on average 140 guests so why only 20 sunbeds around the tiny pool! Reps table, reception, comfy sofas,tv area lounge, entertainment and bar all in one area the size of doctors waiting room and believe me it felt like an old peoples home at times.Towels on sunbeds by 7.30am (you can tell they were mostly retired no-one had a lie in).Rooms were basic with only a hand shampoo shower fixed to the wall and a shower curtain and very little shelf space.Paintwork was black and furniture very dark and no table or chair in the room which meant the only soft seat was on the bed.The balcony was a tiny 2tiles width with plastic chairs and the sort of low table you normally get around the pool.Few pros but a lot of cons for this hotel.Someone wrote in the guest comment book "the paraiso should be a 4star hotel" well i think they need a lot of refurb and upgrading to come anywher near this and should take a look at other spanish hotel chains e.g Sol hotels, Marina or Fiesta hotels.Great staff, lovely food ,good location but get those rooms sorted and a quiet seating or reading area away from the tvs and bar and maybe a return visit in the future (when i,m in my 80,s)!!
excellent staff
stayed here for two weeks may/june and the hotel overall was very good, excellent staff,a mention here for michael on the desk whose attitude and appearance was spot on,nothing was too much trouble for him and a lot of the guests commented on this. The food was very good and the rooms were of a good size.Just a few minor complaints,if you are a light sleeper don't book a room at the rear of the hotel, bin collection at approx 5am and the shower head attachment would fall of its mounting when the water was turned on.Would we go back, yes nice resort, nice people, great hotel.
Good hotel
I stayed at this hotel with my husband in May 2008. I had never been to Ibiza so didn't really know what to expect. We had a great time even though the weather some days was colder and wetter than in England. The Paraiso Beach Hotel was better than we expected. It is an adults only hotel so was very relaxing which was what we wanted. The staff were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. The meals were buffet style and the food was much better than we expected. Drinks in the bar were cheaper than the local bars and the entertainment was very good. Pity the pool area wasn't a bit bigger. It was the usual story,a selfish few leaving towels on the sunbeds all day. Incidentally, the residents were all British.
Great stay
This hotel is fantastic the staff are all very helpful, polite & nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good and always plenty of choice. Entertainment was good and when the bar staff (Anthonio & Christian ) get up at the end that just makes the night . Go to this hotel and you will not be disappointed. The only fault with this hotel is that the pool was built on the wrong side of the hotel which means that the pool is small and it doesn't get much sun, but there is a good beach just a short walk away.
Fantastic staff, great food
We arrived in the early hours of the morning and the night porter offered us food and drinks; he even opened the bar just for us. All of the staff are fabulous at the hotel; helpful, courteous and a real good laugh! A great selection of food was offered for both breakfast and dinner. The room was basic, but spotlessley clean. We didn't choose to upgrade to a superior room, as we were on a budget holiday - but we were not disappointed at all.
Nice hotel
We stayed half board at the Paraiso Beach Hotel in Es Cana(r) in August after finding it on the internet. The hotel is very clean, although the bedrooms are basic. The food is buffet style and no better or worse than you would find in most hotels, but perfectly edible. The staff are excellent, very friendly and willing to help, the 'cocktail of the day' at miday is a nice touch. The hotel provides entertainment every evening, some of which is 'interesting', however there is a limit to the number of times you can hear Neil Diamond. It's a 10 minute walk to the beach but you don't need to go there as the hotel pool is fine, and no trouble getting sunbeds either. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel.
Lovely hotel!!
We booked to stay at the Paraiso through first choice and we were not disappointed!! The hotel was very clean, the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Being adults only made a big difference to our holiday, as the hotel seemed more relaxed and peaceful than other hotels which allow kids that we had been to. The food was lovely, lots of variety and very fresh, something for everyone!! We kept saying that we would go out one evening for a meal if the food looked horrible that night but every night we ate in the hotel because the food was excellent!! (we were half board). The pool was fantastic, very quiet so perfect if you just want to laze around and read or listen to your i-pod!! we did have to get up a bit early to get a lounger but only around half 7 so we just ate breakfast early!! Breakfast was fantastic too, lots of very fresh fruit and my partner said the cooked breakfast was the best he had ever had abroad!! In the daytime we just stayed around the pool and around 12 they do a cocktail demonstration (but its not obtrusive like some hotel activities, you can ignore it if you want to!!). One day they prepared traditional Ibizan produce on a bbq and it was ony 6euros for a plate. The food from the pool bar was really nice to and very good value for money. The entertainment at night at the hotel was ok but not brilliant but the bars along the beach are great, you can find really relaxed ones away from kids!! All in all we had a wonderful time in Es Cana, the resort is very nice and our hotel was first class. It should be 4*s in my opinion!! would definitly book the Paraiso again.
Brilliant Hotel
We booked the hotel over the internet as a late deal and weren't sure what to expect as it was newly refurbished and didn't feature in any of the brochures we'd looked at, but we were not disappointed! The hotel itself is very well presented with a lovely marble reception area and a great pool and bar area. The rooms are pretty basic but very clean and not at all cramped. I would definitely recommend booking one with air con though. The staff were all bilingual and very helpful, the receptionists in particular were willing to help with any enquiries and booking taxis etc. We stayed half board and the food was very good value for money. There was cooked breakfast available every morning. The dinner was buffet style and did cater towards British tastes although some of the combinations were a bit strange, but generally you could always find something to eat and we only ate out one night in the week. The resort itself is fairly quiet. There are no real lively bars but there are plenty of restaurant/bars where you can sit and have a drink. Most nights we stayed at the hotel as there was entertainment provided every night. During the day, we visited other towns in Ibiza using the ferry which is cheaper than a taxi and a lot more scenic! Overall we had a very good time and couldn't fault the hotel at all.
