On arrival the staff were very welcoming. Hotel room was clean but very basic, Hotel could do with being updated.
Average age group appeared to 60+, quiet hotel, entertainment was mediocre, best entertainment was Juan's bingo night.
Prior to booking our holiday I had read reviews on this hotel and they were mainly all excellent reviews which persuaded me to go ahead and book this hotel. Therefore I was quite disappointed.
The breakfast menu with a choice of Continental or full English Breakfast was really good, the dining room staff were very pleasant and attentive to your needs.
The evening meals were a bit disappointing, one evening in particular the choices were, Liver or Kidneys not to everyone's taste, there also had either fish and on most occasions there would be pork loin, which I had just about every night for the 2 weeks. The potatoes were always undercooked, the veg was from the frozen variety and the mash potatoes with tomatoes looked like the powdered variety. The soup was also out of a packet.
Although there was a sign up stating that the sunbeds could not be reserved, when we went down for breakfast about 8.30 they all had towels on them minus the people.
We spoke to another couple who had the view over the pool from their room and they said they saw people putting their towels on the beds just after 7.00 am.
The location of the hotel was quite central, not too far to walk to either of the two beaches, and a stone throw from the Hippy market which they had every Wednesday.
We took the ferry for 14 Euros return to Ibiza town, this was not a tour operator trip, but I would recommend taking this trip even just for the ferry ride there and back. It takes 1 1/2 hours from Es Cana and you have to change ferry's at St Eulalia. Take a walk up to the castle in the old town as the views are breathtaking. We went on a Sunday when most of the main shops were closed therefore it was quieter and you could walk around without bumping into people all the time.
I would give the staff of the hotel 10 out of 10, they were pleasant, helpful, attentive and very friendly. From the receptionist to bar staff, dining room staff and last but not least to the cleaners.

my husband and i recently stayed at the paraiso beach hotel in es cana for 2 weeks.the staff were extremely friendly and the reception staff spoke good english which was helpful.the bedrooms were ok and they were cleaned everyday.the meals at the hotel were brilliant and there was entertainment on everynight.the hotel was situated near to the famous hippy market which is on every wednesday.i would advise people to go early or late in the day as it gets very busy.it is a short walk to the nearest beach and there are quite a few bars and cafes within easy walking distance.we found the local buses cheap and easy to use. you have to take the bus to santa eulalia which is 10 minutes away and then change buses to many of the resorts on the island. i would stay at this hotel again

Having booked this hotel only 2 days prior to leaving we did not know what to expect, could not fault this hotel in any way. The view from some of the balconies was not great, mainly the ones on the first floor, but that’s not the end of the world is it. One side looks onto the pool the other to the street behind. We had the street but had the sun all day if that’s a bonus for you where as the pool view did not get the sun at all. Arrived in early hours of the morning to the hotel and were given our keys to the room on the 1st floor. When we wakened in the morning we were happy enough with the room but the view from the balcony was very basic. We asked if there was a possibility of a move further up the hotel and to my amazement they gave us a room on the third floor still looking on the street but because it was higher up you could see the sea etc. The rooms are basic but cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. You have air conditioning (which is an absolute must) in every room and pay a deposit of 10 euros for both the tv and the air con remote, money returned when you leave. LCD tv in every room which had a few English channels. Me and my partner (aged 42 and 49) were probably the younger age group with only a few young couples the average age was probably about 60 but this did not bother us at all as we went out the hotel most nights and then came back to peace and quiet. Only thing was the older ones hogged the pool, they got up at the crack of dawn to put down their towels. We went to the beach most of the time. We were half board and the food was amazing. Im not too happy to please but my partner is very fussy but he also thought the food was great. The choice was plentiful, from fish, meats chicken, cold meat, cheeses, pasta dishes, stews, casseroles and lots of salad stuff. Breakfast is good too with proper British bacon and eggs and the usual foreign food too but all very well cooked and tasted delicious. I tried lots of different things and was not disappointed with anything. Some of the reviews suggest that the food is not good but do not listen to them how anyone could say that this hotel had rubbish food is beyond belief. Now the staff, well what can I say, we have been to many different places abroad and these staff cannot do enough for you and its not just because they want a tip they genuinely want you to have a good time so that you will come back again and again. All staff worked in the Panama hotel which is a Thomson gold hotel which is further down near the beach area. The hotel was taken over the manager wanted to bring in his own staff so staff from that hotel were taken on at the Paraiso beach. They really do make your stay something special. I know I am saying a lot on this review but I really do feel that this hotel was fantastic hence why I am writing this review as I have never done this before. One small thing the rooms do not have a fridge its 20 euros to hire the fridge for the week but it was well worth the money. One other thing you should take a travel kettle with you if you can as you are not given one in the room. Do not pay extra for the superior room as we were told the only difference is a kettle, hairdryer and bigger balcony. The resort is small but has something for everyone. We have 5 children and they would have also liked this resort. Not having children in the hotel was strange for us but actually it was probably the most relaxing holiday I have ever had, overall an excellent holiday.

If you want an excellent stay this is the hotel for you. The staff are excellent the receptionist is already at the door to greet you from the airport and welcomes you with a cocktail whilst seeing to your details etc. The staff from managers to cleaners are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and there is something for everyone no matter what your preferences. The rooms are spacious and very clean. All in all an excellent stay, again thank you to all the staff.

good staff ,clean rooms, average entertainment, could be noisy after entertainment was over(midnight),people laughing and shouting until the early hours ,it would have been better if they had closed the pool/patio area at midnight and people could have moved inside, limited number of sun beds, usually taken up by towels@7 30.es canar itsef has a fair selection of bar/restraunts ,a nice beach and boats to other towns

Lovely clean hotel. Spacious rooms. Attentive staff but not too much. Excellent food. English bacon and sausage for breakfast a real bonus.
No problem getting a bed by the pool, only drawback was that the sun disappeared off the pool area by 4 p.m. every day. Did get sun on the balcony all day though if you had a room at the back of the hotel.
A few good bars in the resort with entertainment available in the hotel and the bars every night.
A well deserved 3 star rating with no complaints. The other good thing was that we were never woken by the maids to come and clean our rooms early in the morning. A nice laid back holiday.
Fridge hire available, tea coffee facilities and hairdryers available for hire as well.
Remotes needed to be hired for the air con and TV but was wholly refundable when handed back.
I would rate this holiday as 10 out of 10.

What a gem. We wish we had booked for longer because the hotel and staff were all we could have wished for.
A quiet and relaxing week and the staff could not do enough for you.
Location straight off the road but still quiet all week.
Hippy market 200 yards up the road on the Wednesday was the busy day - all other days really quiet.
A good few bars close to the hotel but no need to go out to eat because the food was good all week - and varied.
Good mix of age groups all week.
Entertainment was good as well and I am sure that some stayed at the hotel all week - we ventured out to see other entertainment in the resort which was varied as well.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone
Keep up the good work Paraoso Beach and we will be back soon.

We have just enjoyed a 2week holiday in the Paraiso Beach Hotel. What a wonderful hotel this is. The staff cannot do enough to make sure that your every need is catered for.
This starts from when you first arrive at reception you are greeted with a cocktail and broad smile. You cannot single out one member of staff because they all are excellent, from the top right down to the bottom.
The cleanliness is apparent throughout the hotel from the pool area right to the bedrooms.
There is also entertainment each evening and this is of a good standard, the staff also like to take part which adds to the enjoyment.
Es Cana is a small but busy place and is very good for boat trips, as they leave from Es Cana to various places such as Formentera, this trip I would like to point out that if you opt for the beach be prepared to be dropped off on rocks, and also collected from this point on the return trip.
This may not be suitable for people with a disability or may prove to hot in high season for children, as there is no cover whilst waiting for the boat.
There is a very good Bus service and also a small train that takes you around the scenic route by road. Our trip was really one of the best, and we would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel together with Jet2 holidays. Excellent value.

Excellent value for money hotel, very friendly extremely clean great for a relaxing holiday. We arrived in the early hrs of the morning and they had kept us some food from dinner incase we were hungry.
We had booked in to a standard room which was basic but spacious and very clean, we asked for a sea view room which we got, and I would definitely recommend. No tea or coffee facilities but we brought our own, flat screen TV with some English cannels on so we could watch when relaxing at night.
They had to hire a hairdryer and the remote controls for TV and air con but understand why in this day and age, we did get all our money back when we checked out and handed the items back. Nice balcony with view of sea and view of the pool.
The pool was great, lots of sun beds and as it’s an over 16 hotel no kids so very relaxing. Excellent service from the staff, free sample cocktails every morning and a demonstration on the sat from the chef making seafood paella.
The food was great better than expected. Buffet breakfast with a choice of cereal, cooked breakfast fresh fruit, and pastries. You can eat as much as you want! Dinner was also better than expected although there were a few strange combinations but lots of choice.
Two choices of soup, lots of fresh salad and meats, about 6 different choices of hot dishes for example chicken curry, pasta, salmon, sword fish, chops etc then a few potato dishes. I was a little disappointed that the veg was tinned and not fresh. Every day the choice was different and there was always a fresh dish cooked on the grill.
Lots of desserts also but remember its Spain and not to expect typical English looking food.
Nightly entertainment, different every night and again very friendly. Overall an excellent holiday. At the age of 34 we did feel the youngest there so not for the clubbing type.
Would definitely recommend and go back myself. Excellent value for money.

I took my husband here for a week for his 40th birthday and could not fault this hotel at all.
When we arrived we were greeted with a cocktail and showed to our room which was very clean and over looking the pool. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff very friendly. Juan the manager always had a smile on his face.
The food was very good and a choice for everyone. I’m allergic to nuts and they were very good as soon as they saw me go into the restaurant they would come and tell me what to avoid. The price of drinks was very reasonable the sangria was quite strong ideal.
Pool area was lovely proper sun loungers and the pool spotless.
Entertainment was geared for the older clientele but we didn’t care we were there to enjoy ourselves, we only stayed in once for the entertainment and that was Juan the manager doing bingo. I have never laughed so much he was brilliant.
For my husband's birthday at dinner they bought out a cake and sung happy birthday to him then brought us champagne which was a great touch to the holiday.
Es cana itself is very small there is a big bar on the front where we went most nights and some restaurants but for us maybe too quiet a resort. The buses run all the time to Ibiza town and other towns and very cheap. The hippy market is huge which is just up the road from the hotel but on a hot day and loads of people there it felt very claustrophobic.
The only little weenie gripe would be we had to put please do not disturb on the door as the maid would try and clean our room at 8 in the morning.
Other than that brilliant hotel and staff would definitely recommend this hotel especially as you have to be over 16 to stay in this hotel great getaway for couples.

Would recommend!
Hotel Paraiso Beach has a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end of our holiday. Plenty of food to choose from at meal time. Fresh meat cooked on a grill, lots of fresh salad, veg and fruit. The rooms are basic but very clean.
There are two sandy beaches only a short walk from the hotel. One beach is quiet and the other is busy and has lots of water sports. There are also many shops, bars, cafés and restaurants nearby. It is a great place for families, all the bars have lots to do for children.

We booked this hotel when it had only been open a few weeks and did not know what to expect. What a fantastic hotel.
The rooms are basic but clean, the staff have in the main all worked at a Thomson Gold hotel before and that is exactly how you are treated (like gold) they cannot do enough to help.
The food is fantastic, this hotel was only ranked as 2 star last year but has been upgraded to three, for me it was more like 5.
Highly recommended.
