The views from the accomodation were beautiful, of the river and bridge and mountains. At the back were fields of sheep. We had a lovely peaceful week, away from it all and it was very quiet at night. The town had a good selection of shops if you are on foot as well as lots of nearby walks along the river. Lots of places to go and visit - Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Mountain Zoo, as well as nearby Bets-yCoed and lakes up the hill. Very useful accomodation, with everything you need and good value for money.

Not a very nice location to stay in . the holiday Village it self was well below expectations . there were several on site ongoing issues between the clientel and the owners .. thithis village is also being used to provide accommodation for the homeless by the local council.. laundry room was also being used by the locals so at times it was very hard to actually used the laundry ..We got the impression by both the homeless and the locals that we were intruding..
upon reflection we would not return to this holiday village

Well what can i say, the pople that work and own the holiday village are brilliant. They were so polite and helpfull as i have never been to Wales before. They showed me leaflets on where to go and their personal faviorets places to visit. This made my trip more enjoyable and personal.
The site where the village is situated was amazing. Such beautiful land scape and a lovely river just behind the chalis. Watching the river, swans and the world go by in such peace. They even had their own bbq area situated on the site, where the owners let us use it as we pleased.
My self and a few friend really enjoyed this peacefull area, not far from the beach and llandudno. The town of llandudno was not far away and a nice taxi ride if we wanted to go out for a few beers at the evening time without a car.
I can not understand the bad repor this holiday village is getting off this site as it was amazing for us and the people we met over the week. I understand everyone had a freedom of speach and their own oppinion, but open your eyes to the beauty of glan-y-borth and the area surrounding it. Life is to short to **** about something that don't even need ****ing about. It is a family and friend orientated holiday village that is fun for all, no matter who goes.
Myself and my friends will be going back here each year if not more because we enjoyed it that much.

i love it here..... i can relax and chill out away from a big city. Staff are brilliant and so friendly and a place home from home. There cottages in the hills by a big lake are great to escape to aswell. If the weather is nice you feel like your in another country. As i keep saying its home from home in a fantastic atmosphereand enviroment.

Hi
We booked the holiday village and then came on this site and saw the awful reviews. We were going to cancel, but thought that we would try it as there were good reviews as well.
When we got there we were greeted by friendly staff, who showed us to our chalet and we were able to settle in. We had our dinner by the side of the river Conwy watching the swans in the river.
There are 24 chalets which enabled my family and I to all come away together and not have the holiday break the bank!! Which in this climate is a good thing!!.
The chalet that we stopped in had a living room/kitchen, showeroom and two bedrooms. Yes the electricity is on top but Jesus we were only paying a small amount what in gods mane do people expect!!!! Over the whole week we put a total of about £10 in.
We were able to spend a few days in the countryside and were only approx 14 miles from the beach - best of both worlds!!! We were able to have a barbeque for a couple of nights, the management allowing us to use their own personal barbeque.
My family and I really enjoyed out stay and have already booked for next year. When we were there a coach of climbers were there. They told us that they loved the place as they had their own space, were able to come and go as they pleased and were always made to feel welcome.
On behalf of my family and I we want to thank everyone at the holiday village for making us feel welcome and see you again next year!!

What a nightmare!
The so called holiday village was full of homeless people and drop outs. The place was dirty. The whole place needs to be painted.
You expect the standards to be at least the same as your own home. This place was a total waste of money and holiday time.

Booked in for one night to make the most of a weekend, what a bad mistake. We thought the accommodation was disgusting, smelly and unkempt. So glad we hadn't booked for longer, felt sorry for those that had booked as a main holiday.

What a terrible place!
The chalets are dirty certainly not as advertised. The place is infested with fleas or bugs.
To pure surprise the holiday village seems to be used for the homeless by the local council.
That believe you me does not work alongside holidaymakers.
The place is much overpriced and being charged extra for electricity etc, making it very expensive.
It stated that it is in Snowdonia, which it is not.
Far far better to travel that few miles to Bettws y Coed, where the accommodation is a lot cleaner and more value for money.
What a cheek to call it a holiday village more like a dumping ground.

We had a lovely time here.
We have been going for the last 15 years! The staff are friendly, the views are wonderful and the site is lovely.
We stay here because the site accommodates for disabled people, (unlike so many others).
The place is clean, with all you need inside the bungalows and is central to every attraction.

Myself and my partner visited Glan-y-Borth Holiday Village in Llanrwst - Gwynedd North Wales for a nice relaxing break in North Wales after a bad couple of months together. We were looking forward to staying at our luxurious bungalow in beautiful scenery, well this is how it was sold to us.
We were staying from Monday night till Friday night. When we arrived there was nothing luxurious about the holiday village at all, it was a complex of run down dirty chalets. I have never been so upset and let down on a holiday in my life before. It was disgusting. The so called bungalows were dirty and smelly inside that you didn't dare walk around or shower without shoes on. The only reason we were there was to sleep, which didn't happen because of how dirty it was. On the 3rd day of our stay we were covered in bites all over either from fleas or from dirt mites. That, we couldn't take anymore, I ran around the little village in tears trying to find somewhere else to stay so as not to ruin the whole break.
I found a lovely hotel not far form the holiday village from hell, so booked in there for the rest of the week. Anyone who is thinking of staying here think again. Its run down, dirty, smelly, the gardens are unkempt, you pay for your own electric, dirty bathrooms and bedrooms and you'll just feel totally dirty.
I have felt cleaner camping in a rain storm. If anyone is thinking of staying here please do not put yourself through the nightmare.
