We stayed here and had a brilliant time. The studios are so clean and sheets and towels are regularly changed. There are two blocks, one is older with 4 x 2 bedrooms studios, and underneath are 4 smaller studios for two people. The other one is smaller and has about 8 studios with good views facing the pool and glimpses of the sea. There is a snack bar with decking above the pool which serves drinks and snacks until 1.00 a.m. Very good pool with small children’s pool attached.
The studios are about 10-15 min walk to the beach with small tavernas dotted along the route. The supermarket and bakery (fantastic bread and cakes) about 5 mins away. There is a slight incline coming back from the beach which can be a bit tiring in the heat, but it is not really steep. The Galini Hotel (studios) are better than the Thomas Cook brochures describe and the picture does not do it justice. Don’t be put off by the Motorbike shop across the road as it was not a problem with noise at all, the frogs and the dogs are the things that you hear more of.
The resort is very quiet. There are only two music bars which can be avoided. There are Greek nights at various tavernas on different nights. Some hotels do have their own entertainment nights. Even though it is a small resort there are a very good choice of restaurants and could eat at a different one every night of the week and not have a bad meal.
There are some lovely walks going both directions of the resort to San Stefanos and Ag. George North. Not far from Sidari if you prefer the noise and lively atmosphere even with a MacDonald’s, not that you would need that.
We are returning next year to different accommodation at the Bardis Sun and will leave reviews for that. If you decide to book here you will definitely have a good holiday!
