what a beutiful place icmeler is, my family and i have holidayed there for the last 5 years.
we return usually to the same apartments every year because of the great service that we usually recieve, at the begini9ng of the year work was slow and we thought that the anual family holiday would have to be sacrifised, fortunatly work picked up during the spring time and i was happy to anounce to a very happy and exited family that we were now able to take our anual treck to icmeler.
we left it too late to book our favourate apartments so we just had to do with what we could find and we found felizia apartments and i wish we hadn`t.
we arrived early morning with huge happy but tired smiles on our faces i introduced my family to the guy sat at the apartments office i offered my had for him to shake and it was as if i`d offered him a fist full of dirt, he gave me the keys grunted and pointed to where we had to go, we eventually found our apartment after running up and down 16 flights of stairs carrying our luggage as there are no lifts and no help was offered from the night staff.
our room was on the top floor of the second set of stairs, we had to make up the kids beds and they made themselves as comfortable as they could in the very hot and stuffy room,my wife and i made our bed with what we could find my wife went to bed as i went down stairs to ask about the air con, i nearly had an heart atack when he told me the price was £88 pound for 2 week, but it was somthing that i had to pay because the kids who bedroom the air con was in neaded it.
we woke late morningand started to look around the apartment, four plastic seats were stacked near a plastic table i unstacked the seats to find that 2 of the seat were broken one of them having only 3 legs, the balcony was so high that you had to stand on the outside bench to see over the top of it.
the curtains were held up with a spoon the curtain tie backs were held on with only 1 loose fitting screw, door handles on the kitchen cupboards would come off in your hand, there was no clean bedding the ones we had slept on were ones left by previous occupant and when i saw a huge blood stain on the matress of one of the kids single beds i decided i had to complain to the manager, i opened the apartment door and the door knob fell off in my hand.l
i asked to see the manager and i was told that he would see me only if he had the time.
he was sat in his little office playing cards on his computer thats when i noticed that he had c.c.t.v. monitors focused on the swimming pool and the kids pool.
he greeted my with a grunt and said to me` what do you want` after telling him about the problems he just shruged his shoulders and said what do you want me to do about it.
he then had the cheek to ask if i`d broken the chairs by sitting on them because i was maybe too big and heavy for them, he then said that he wanted 20 lira for the broken chairs i bluntly refused to pay he then pointed at the door and told me to get out of his office he then slamed the door behind me.
the toilet bin was emptied only once during the 2 week stay and the only way we got clean towels was if we took them off the cleaners trolly.
when we told people that we were stopping at the felizia they laughed and we were told that its comonly known through the resort as the flea pit apartments.

the staff are rude and greedy everthing is overpriced 14 lira for a breakfast 40 pounds a week for air con.the rooms are dirty and the towels where very old torn and smelly. nobody in the felizia where happy the place there was a family of 16 staying who went up the road to the 3 bells to use there pool as the price of drinks round the pool where double at the felizia.nobody ate at the felizia because of the high prices.so the staff are rude and the owners are awful.they called a guest a english ******* when he gave back a small glass of coke they tryed to charge him 8 lira for.i have stayed in icmeler for the last 14 years this is the worst place we have stayed by a long way.on the plus side the rooms are a good size in a central location but a lot of noise from the romance next door.the owners give icmeler a bad name which is a top resort with plenty of good bars and restaurants

worst holiday appartments

very basic appartments, rude host, swimming pool filthy, broken drainage around the pool, broken raised manhole cover near pool, no cleaner, toilet bin not emptied, no clean bedding, towels were stiff and smelt awful(never got replacements)curtains were dirty(held in place by a spoon),balcony to high (could not see over it),dirty clothes left from previous guest.air conditioning £40,safe £10,bar expensive, cctv cameras follow your every move.
i would advise others to give this place a very wide birth, lot of other nice places to stay in icmeler.
the only good thing about these appartments is that they are in a central location, and the small shop attached(nothing to do with appartments)is as cheap as anywhere and has a really nice owner.

the owner and his wife and daughter of this apartment are the most arrogant and rude people i have ever met,we arrived at 6 am tired and exhausted .on arrival he gave us the key and left us to find our own appartment on the top floor (in attic room) and carry our own cases up 8 flights of stairs,(we are both pensioners).on our first night of stay a dog barked all night long being locked in a kennel next door and continude every night of the holiday.when we mentioned this to him he was very aggressive to us, on the 4th day of our stay my husband being diabetic was'nt very well and our daughter staying in another appartment hotel came to see him and he would'nt allow her up to the room to see him telling her it was against hotel rules and being rude to her,she left .the toilet didnt flush unless you left it for over an hour or sometimes longer,we reported it and was told the sevice manager had looked at it and there was nothing wrong,so for the rest of our stay we had to fill a dish of water every time we used toilet, the towels were like drying on sand paper (they hav'nt heard of fabric softner)and a dirty grey color, the shower did not work properly it was either boiling hot or freezing cold, overall i would go back to icmeler as it is a beautiful resort but i would advise everybody to stay away from theese appartments.

Good Basic Accomodation

I have just returned from a holiday at the Felizia Apartments, in Ichmeler, Turkey. These apartments offer the basic requirements for a good budget holiday. The apartments are clean and spacious although there is little in the way of furnishings and kitchen requirements(crocery, cups & glasses etc.,) I was however able to produce breakfast each day and two tasty evening meals on the cooking rings provided. Each day we went to the beach because we prefered the beach environment and sea breeze, the pool surround at the apartments was crowded and looked to be in full sun at times, the pool itself was small but ample, however as beach people this did not appeal to ourselves. The pool has a small bar close to it that serves drinks and snacks during the day and evening, your own food and drinks are not allowed around the pool. The balconies were of a good size and we enjoyed sitting on these late afternoons and evenings. The apartments are in a good location for shops, bars and beach, with many excellent restaurants to choose from close by.The one bar/restaurant nearest was noisy during the evening but this did not trouble us at all (as we were mainly out) however at 12.00pm all noise at all bars and restaurants is reduced considerably to comply with the law. Our hosts always had a friendly greeting for us no matter what time of the day.
Funds were always going to be limited on this holiday, yet my daughter and I were able to fully enjoy ourselves at this beautiful, lively resort.I have no problem recommending these apartments if you are looking for cheap basic accomodation but if you require more than the very basic, pay extra and look elsewhere. *If you decide to visit Ichmeler try the Lighthouse Restaurant - our only luxury this week, excellent food and service.

I have recently returned from a weeks stay at Felizia. The apartments are in a great location with bars and resturants right on the doorstep, althought it can be a little noisy at night it wasn't much of a problem unless you're a light sleeper. The owners were very pleasant and responded when the air conditioning wasn't working and the shower was broken. The air conditioning cost 40 Pounds or 100 Lira for the week, quite a lot considering it smelt a bit fousty and only cooled the bedroom. The saftey box was also 10 Lira for the week (not refunded). The 1st couple of days we could not get a sunbed as people left their towels to reseve them overnight however they installed a new rule on the 3rd day stating that towels left for over 1 hour would be removed. The pool was very small and you have to get up early in order to get a sunbed. The beach however is only 400 mentres away and is very nice. Cost 2.5 Lira for a sunbed for as long as you are there. The apartments are fine if you are not too fussy and also very spacious. Good if you are after somewhere close to it all.

-- do not book for these apartments ---
Daughter and fiance had to stay there between 19/09/08 and 26/09/08, due to overbooking at a nearby hotel. Manager/owner friendly at first but if you ask for another apartment he becomes very annoyed. They were stuck in attic room on 4th floor, no lift, ceiling in each room sloping drastically, they are both about 6ft tall causing problems. No water or toilet facilities on 1st night there. (They actually had to sleep on our hotel bedroom floor the 1st night as the owner of the Felizia, and the Goldtrail rep refused to do anything). Finally got them moved to another room on the 4th night, out of 7night holiday. Daughter asked the owners wife for a change of bed linen, clean towels and toilet roll, they were told that they were in self catering apartments and that bed linen and towels are only chenged once a week, and after they use the one toilet roll they have to buy their own.
In our opinion the owner of the Felizia is very rude and at times aggresive if you make any comment about his apartments (he barred us from going over to see our daughter at the apartments)...
DEFINATELY GIVE THIS ONE A MISS.......ICMELER ITSELF IS LOVELY THO' BEEN THERE MANY TIMES SINCE 1994 BUT NEVER MET SUCH AN ARROGANT MAN AS THE OWNER OF THE FELIZIA.

When we arrived at the Felizia apts we were shown to the top floor,as it was very late i decided to ask to be moved after a few hours rest, i have a knee problem and need a operation for a replacement but i was told all rooms were full,, also the balcony which was very spacious was surrounded by a high wall so i had to stand on tip toe to look over the top. My partner and i decided not to let it spoil our holiday. I was amazed at the price of air conditioning £40 a week but on the top floor we could'nt do without it we were offered a fan at £20 a week which we took.I can only add there were a few unhappy people. I love ICMELER but will not return to these apts.

Had a fantastic 2 weeks. Room, although basic, was clean and serviced regularly. Ali, Gemma and Efe were perfect hosts, always service with a smile. Their Turkish night was not to be missed. Thanks for a lovely holiday. I would definitely return. Only one downside, which was out of Gemma and Ali's hands, was not all rooms were ready on arrival at 7.00am and some guests had to wait until early afternoon. I personally wasnt affected, but there were families with small children who were. They were offered no support by travel reps with this. Only other downside - having to come home!!

Aug 2008, Mrs J Heggie

Just back from 2 weeks at these apartments. This was a late booking for us and i was very much impressed although i was a bit apprehensive before arriving. The apartments are spacious and all have pool views which is nice, the pool is small but big enough, pool sun area a bit of a squeeze as the sun only hits one side just after 1pm.
Ali and Gemma the owners are really nice and not like some will always acknowledge you, they will also arrange trips for you if you wish, we went fishing with the owners cousin and had a great day, thanks Ali. Not forgetting Efe the barman who is there all day and night and loves you to conversate with him. Well all there is left to say i would definatley return to these apartments with no hesitation, we had a great time. Joan, Gordon and Dale. Fife Scotland
