-- do not book for these apartments ---
Daughter and fiance had to stay there between 19/09/08 and 26/09/08, due to overbooking at a nearby hotel. Manager/owner friendly at first but if you ask for another apartment he becomes very annoyed. They were stuck in attic room on 4th floor, no lift, ceiling in each room sloping drastically, they are both about 6ft tall causing problems. No water or toilet facilities on 1st night there. (They actually had to sleep on our hotel bedroom floor the 1st night as the owner of the Felizia, and the Goldtrail rep refused to do anything). Finally got them moved to another room on the 4th night, out of 7night holiday. Daughter asked the owners wife for a change of bed linen, clean towels and toilet roll, they were told that they were in self catering apartments and that bed linen and towels are only chenged once a week, and after they use the one toilet roll they have to buy their own.
In our opinion the owner of the Felizia is very rude and at times aggresive if you make any comment about his apartments (he barred us from going over to see our daughter at the apartments)...
DEFINATELY GIVE THIS ONE A MISS.......ICMELER ITSELF IS LOVELY THO' BEEN THERE MANY TIMES SINCE 1994 BUT NEVER MET SUCH AN ARROGANT MAN AS THE OWNER OF THE FELIZIA.

When we arrived at the Felizia apts we were shown to the top floor,as it was very late i decided to ask to be moved after a few hours rest, i have a knee problem and need a operation for a replacement but i was told all rooms were full,, also the balcony which was very spacious was surrounded by a high wall so i had to stand on tip toe to look over the top. My partner and i decided not to let it spoil our holiday. I was amazed at the price of air conditioning £40 a week but on the top floor we could'nt do without it we were offered a fan at £20 a week which we took.I can only add there were a few unhappy people. I love ICMELER but will not return to these apts.

Had a fantastic 2 weeks. Room, although basic, was clean and serviced regularly. Ali, Gemma and Efe were perfect hosts, always service with a smile. Their Turkish night was not to be missed. Thanks for a lovely holiday. I would definitely return. Only one downside, which was out of Gemma and Ali's hands, was not all rooms were ready on arrival at 7.00am and some guests had to wait until early afternoon. I personally wasnt affected, but there were families with small children who were. They were offered no support by travel reps with this. Only other downside - having to come home!!

Just back from 2 weeks at these apartments. This was a late booking for us and i was very much impressed although i was a bit apprehensive before arriving. The apartments are spacious and all have pool views which is nice, the pool is small but big enough, pool sun area a bit of a squeeze as the sun only hits one side just after 1pm.
Ali and Gemma the owners are really nice and not like some will always acknowledge you, they will also arrange trips for you if you wish, we went fishing with the owners cousin and had a great day, thanks Ali. Not forgetting Efe the barman who is there all day and night and loves you to conversate with him. Well all there is left to say i would definatley return to these apartments with no hesitation, we had a great time. Joan, Gordon and Dale. Fife Scotland

My 7 year old son and myself returned from 2 fabulous weeks in Icmeler and a comfortable and friendly stay at the Felizia apartments.
Our apartment was clean and well equipped, serviced every day and perfect for what we needed. Any problem was dealt with the same day - e.g. a broken bathroom hook and replacement light bulb! Ali and Gemma (the owners) were friendly and helpful, the pool was immaculate and location central.
We had extremely high temperatures so the air conditioning became a necessity for us. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and would recommend these apartments, as well as the whole Icmeler resort, to other families.

I have just returned from 2 weeks in Icmeler at the Felizia apartments with my seven year old son. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and would recommend Felizia as a good place to stay. The apartment was clean and regularly serviced. The pool area was also clean and well maintained. Felizia is in a central area with easy access to the beach (10 min walk) loads of restaurants and shops and the bus stops right outside.
Gemma and Ali are friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. For example I reported a broken hook, glass (my fault for dropping it in the sink) and the need to replace a light bulb and all were taken care of swiftly.
My son loved the pool and the beach, where it was a bit cooler, and we enjoyed temperatures in the 40's and 50's. We used the bus to get to Marmaris twice, to visit the shopping centre for souvenirs and secondly to visit the old fort. We then returned on the ferry boat which was easy and most enjoyable. I would also recommend the village tour, though not with the Vision Holidays rep as that was overpriced. We learnt such a lot about life in Turkey and were privileged to visit a mosque, school and traditional home.
We would be happy to visit again, and recommend Icmeler and the Felizia apartments for all ages. My only negative thoughts are that I would not choose to book through Vision Holidays again as a tour operator.

We have just returned from a week at the Felizia and it's a good thing we love Icmeler because this could have put us off.
The apartments were spacious but the cleaning standards were terrible. The sheets and towels were changed only once during our whole stay.
The pool bar prices are very expensive and the pool isn't very clean, also two friends from our group got a slight electric shock when getting out of the pool, so the staff kept the pool lights off after this happened!
The family run apartments are not the best at all and we have stayed in Icmeler seven times before so we can compare these to others of the same star rating.
Don't let this turn you off going to Icmeler as it's such a beautiful place just think twice about staying at the Felizia apartments

It took us about 2 hours to transfer from Dalaman airport (with a short break), it would have been quicker, but the driver was trying to lower his carbon footprint! Anyway, about Felizia Apartments...
When we arrived we were greeted by a man called Efe and his younger brother who got all our bags from the coach and lined them up in the reception area, once there Gemma took our details and photo copies of our passports, then hit us with the extras. £10 extra for the Safe and £40 extra for the Aircon. At first I turned down the aircon option as we hadn't yet seen the room and didn't know if it was a waste of money. After Efe's brother had carried our bags to the room (4th Flr and no lift) I soon found out that we DID need the aircon!
The rooms are very clean and quite, not a lot of noise travels from room to room. The electric operates from the key-fob with your key to the room. If you separate these and leave the electric on when you go out the cleaner will take it out and return to the bar/reception.
The rooms do have a couple of downsides. The towels are yet to be introduced to fabric softener! The towels/sheets were only changed once during our one week stay. The toilet roll you get is the only one, we had to buy more!
There is no way you could make yourself food in your room with any ease. We bought some cornflakes and Gemma had to give us some bowels as there is none in the room.
The Aircon is fitted in the bedroom, so the bathroom and kitchen area still get very hot.
The shower is next to useless, we could never get solid "mixed" temperature out of the shower head, for some strange reason though we could out of the tap. It wasn't just our room either, we had 11 of the 32 rooms in our group and everyone had the same trouble.
The pool and surrounding area is also very clean, beware however the corner nearest the bar, a couple of people reported getting shocks when exiting the pool here, it was reported but safety standards don't really exist over there, and we've now left so someone else can find out about it!
The complex is covered with a massive amount of CCTV, there is only one area to get into the complex (past reception and the bar) but all the surrounding walls/hedges are covered, so that is reasuring, and out of all 23 of us only one person lost something (it was only an arsenal towel as well!). They also have Efe's granddad as the security man who stays up all night to stop anyone who shouldn't be there walking in!
Efe and his brother run the bar there and Gemma and husband collect the bar tab bills (Gemma not a lady you'd mess with!) Efe and brother are both very relaxed and a great laugh. They joined us all in the pool a couple of times and kept the bar open very late some nights so we could continue drinking.
A lot of us stopped drinking in the bar tho' as we were being hit with random bills. We couldn't get them sorted so a few people chose not to drink there any more. My bill for the last 3 days was less than £5! SO BEWARE OF THE BAR TAB!
The bar is also very pricey compared to everywhere else in the area. 4.5YTL for Efes (the beer), 2.5-3.5YTL at every other restaurant/bar in the area.
We all had a great holiday, and enjoyed our time together. Icmeler was great fun and I recommend it to anyone, I'd try somewhere else to stay though.

Just back from a 2-week holiday in the Felizia apartments. We booked through Vision holidays. I urge anybody thinking of staying in Icmeler to definitely stay at the Felizia apartments.
The rooms are very spacious all rooms the same size including the attic rooms. Sheets changed every other day and room cleaned everyday.
They are in perfect locations close to bars and shops with a 24hour supermarket next door. You don’t have any noise from the bars in Icmeler as they turn music off at midnight.
The apartments are family run and the staff are so helpful. We made friends with the staff very quickly and they would help you all the time. The staff are so polite and greet you as a family when you arrive, if you have a early hours in the morning flight home one the family will stay up with you to wave you goodbye.
One thing I would advise holiday makers the bar and restaurant next door to the apartments (Romance bar) is a black hole. We went in one night for a meal and they added extra drinks on our bill that we hadn’t had. Speaking to a family as well they also had the same problem with them. Another thing about the Romance bar is they don’t actually state the price of some beers on their menu and you get an almighty shock when you see the price.
So that concludes my holiday report and will definitely be going back to the Felizia Apartments next year.

Just back from a 2 week break in Icmeler, staying at the Felizia apartments. Icmeler is a beautiful part of Turkey, surrounded by hills, very picturesque.
Beach is sand and shingle and usually very busy, but there are plenty of sunbeds available even on the busiest of days. Plenty of restaurants, 2 nightclubs, all music stops about12.00am, although the nightclubs can go on longer than that at times.
Temps were in the 40's and are set to rise in July and August.
Felizia apartments are clean and spacious, but an added cost of £35 per week is asked if you want a/c, also a charge of £10 p/w is added if u want a safety deposit box in your room.
Watch the prices of their drinks at the poolside, more expensive than anywhere else.
Also when they have their Turkish night for residents only, be prepared to tip the entertainment, especially the belly dancer. Price of the ticket does not include drinks, can be an expensive night, and so be careful.
Staff in general were very nice, it’s a family run place, but beware you don’t rub the two barmen up the wrong way, my fiancé and I did by bringing a drink from the apartment down to the poolside on the Turkish night. They never talked to us the whole of the 2nd week and the younger one regularly drew us dirty looks, you would have thought that we had broken the law. Therefore their behaviour spoiled our holiday and although we would return to Icmeler, we would not return to the Felizia apartments.
Watch out for Azra Jewellers across the road, if you say you like anything they take that as you are going to buy it. Salesmen are incredibly pushy and will have a gold necklace or bracelet on any female’s neck or wrist in the blink of an eye. They can’t seem to understand the word "no". Not all of the jeweller’s shops are like that though, as we found out.
Apart from the Felizia barmen and the Jewellers our holiday in Icmeler was amazing and as I said before we would definitely go back one day.

Icmeler is a fantastic place very clean /friendly and lovely beaches, loads of bars /restaurants. We got hassled a lot from sales people in restaurants etc, but it was harmless fun.
We stayed at Felizia apartments which was a family run establishment, they seemed very friendly to begin with, but we soon realised it was very fake, it was to give you a false sense of security.
Their bar drinks were one lira more expensive than high quality bars in the town which does not encourage you to drink at the pool bar.
The towel (one bath towel only each person ) was changed once in one week stay, one toilet roll when it runs out no more supplied, air conditioning was a extra cost which was not stated on booking (£35 per week) disgusting price!!
No courtesy room supplied for last day we had to shower on the beach then change in toilets, would have charged us another £20 for extra room time and a howling barking dog all night long which was every night and very hard to sleep.
Apart from the accommodation I would recommend Icmeler its fantastic! And everyone is very friendly and majority speak English.

The apartments are spacious and airy with air conditioning available at extra cost. They are quite clean, although sparsely equipped. We had to ask for cereal bowls, which were then provided albeit a little reluctantly.
The staff are, like most of the Turks we came across, very friendly.
The rooms were regularly cleaned but toilet paper is not provided, which I though a little mean. The premises were very quiet at the time with not many people staying, so the pool and bar area got little if any use.
It is well situated with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and the beach about ten minutes walk. There is also a small 24 hr supermarket next door which stocks most things you would need.
One question often asked is; would you stay there again and I have to say no because although there were no glaring faults, it just wasn't as good as other places I have stayed.

I was a bit scared booking this holiday as it was with Vision Holidays and neither me or my partner had booked with them before. This is a family run aparthotel and as we arrived we were greeted by the whole family. They then took us and our bags up to our room.
The rooms were very spacious and clean and they were cleaned out every day including the linen changed every other day. Around the pool during the day was very lively in the sense of the music from the pool bar and the staff but at the same time I was looking for a holiday to relax so that’s what I did. There was a supermarket right next door and the shops started over the road and went on for miles so we were in an ideal location.
The only thing I could possibly fault was the length of time it took from the airport was 4 hours, but talking to people who had also traveled from Dalaman airport it had only took them one hour (we had to drop a full bus load of people off at different hotels in Marmaris).
This whole holiday was amazing and we are definitely going back to Icmeler and staying at the Felizia again. Ali, Gemma and Efe are the nicest people ever, not to forget the two kids who are both so cute. If you do go though I have one suggestion. The Kingsland Chinese is the place to be! Its lovely and is well recommended by everyone who has been.
