Nikos Apartments

Both my self and wife have just returned from one week’s holiday at the Nikos apartments. Having visited Arillas on four previous occasions we’ve always found generally the accommodation has been of a good standard. Having said that we both found the Nikos to be head and shoulders above all the previous accommodation we had stayed in. The cleanliness of our studio apartment was very good in fact it was spotless. It was also the most spacious accommodation we’ve found in Arillas to date with a double bed upstairs and two singles on the ground floor along with a good sized bathroom and kitchen area. The family that run the place could not do enough for us.When we arrived in the early hours of Saturday morning it was a pleasant surprise to find a bottle of water along with tea, coffee, sugar and milk this enabled us to have nice cuppa prior to grabbing a couple of hours sleep - we thought that was a nice touch! We both enjoy walking which meant the mile or so walk back from the beach to the Nikos was not a problem, if fact it was nice to eat at some of the restaurants dotted along the front of an evening then be able to walk your dinner off on the way back. If you are slightly less mobile the location would probably mean the Nikos may not be suitable. All in all we found the Nikos for us was best accommodation we have found in Arillas to date and we will be returning next year.

We found the Nikos Apartments really clean and comfortable.There was a lovely maintained garden around the pool with more than enough sun beds for everyone.Vasillis , the owner, was friendly,and nothing was too much trouble for him.
We had a studio and our sons had an apartment,which by juding other places we have stayed in Greece,was the most spacious and comfortablist as yet.
The beach is a fair walk,but not too far to become a chore.
The food was lovely,all homemade and fresh,for which I can vouch,as Vasillis showed us the kitchen one evening and the whole family were in there working and preparing the food for the following day.The kitchen was spotless.
Most of the holidaymakers there were return guests.
I highly recommend these apartments,and intend to go back next year.

Dont bother going to nikos appartments! If you do decide to go to Corfu, then find another resort. This accomodation ruined the atmosphere for our holiday.

Been many places around the world, but this has got to be the worst we`ve ever been to. we just felt that the atmosphere was so uncomfortable with the manager perving on all the females around the pool. It seemed as if he was jus so amazed by females and drooled over them. It wasn`t even as if it was done in a sly manner. Just staring, blatent would be the word i would use. (Very uncomfortable).
The accomodation was very basic, but being a two star appartment, we expected this. Even so, we would not recommend this appartment to anyone, unless you are not going to be around the accomodatian very much, due to the dullness and deppressing atmosphere in number 6 (where we stayed. other appartments looked a lot better than ours though). There is a little old lady who comes in to clean the rooms everyday. even though she did a ok job of it, she works hard. We felt it right to tip her well.
The pool was the only good thing about the appartment (if you dont mind being perved on). Good sized, well maintained and clean.
The food was nuked to death!!! LOL. Everytime someone ordered anything from the bar you always heard that trusty PING! Vegetables were fresh though from their little garden. The management also got very funny about eating and drinking your own food by the pool, saying things like you should be buying their food, even though its self-catering.
The Beach was about a mile or so away. Not a pleasant walk back after a meal and a drink on the front (especially in the heat and no taxis). We took part on many excursions around the island which were good fun. We also hired quad-bikes and went around the north-west of the island. Palaekastritsa was very nice. Excellent beaches with boat trips. Overall.... Corfu was a really nice place to visit. We just wouldn`t visit there again. Everything was over-priced, the service was rubbish and we`d recommend spending the money going elsewhere on holiday. Thomas cook just seemed like they didnt care about their customers. The best part of the holiday was leaving the Nikos appartments, even though we waited by the pool for over 12 hours (should have hired a car for a week) waiting for the coach to pick us up.

We have just returned fro the Nikos apartments in arillas. The apartments are to a very high standard as is the whole complex. Its about a 20 min walk to the beach so if you have children you may need to consider car hire. the atmosphere is very relaxed and restful, most people staying at the same time as us had been coming to the apartments for several years. Vassilis works very hard to ensure you have a very special time at the Nikos apartments nothing is too much trouble! We have been to Arillas before but never visited the Nikos apartments, we will be returning to Arillas in the future and will definately be staying at the Nikos apartments. The apartments are set at the edge of the village/town about a mile from the beach. The walk to the beach is mostly on the level. The apartments are well looked after by the family who own them and who are always available. They serve food there which is really good Greek food. Vegetables are grown on land next to the apartments. The pool is a good size and very clean. It is very quiet. Plenty of sunbeds etc around the pool. Good sized living area with dining table and chairs. Plenty of wardrobe space in the bedrooms which consist of twin beds in each. The rooms were cleaned most days whilst we were there. If we returned to Arillas we would definitely use Nikos apartments.

These lovely, quiet apartments are a little out of the main beach area but are well worth staying at, we stayed in the block of four maisonettes. These are well worth booking as they have a separate upstairs bedroom for the grown ups and lots of room downstairs. The owner Vasillias was really nice, he bought my son a birthday card and present while we were there.
I can recommend the buffet it was well worth the money.We liked it so much that were going back this July.

We stayed at the Nikos apartments in Aug 2006, the apartments were very clean and spacious, and we were very pleased with our accommodation as we travelled on an allocation on arrival basis.
The pool was very clean, the maid changed towels etc. very regularly. The staff were friendly, and the pool bar was very handy, the pool area was a great suntrap so we often sunbathed there, as we wasn’t very impressed with the nearest beach (about ten minutes or so walk).
The Nikos apartments are nicely tucked away on a side road but not far too walk to reach bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc... We really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t of asked for cleaner rooms!
The cockerel living opposite the apartments can get a bit annoying though!

We booked the nikos apartments with lastminute.com and we very pleased when we arrived, the apartments were clean, the pool was lovely, and the owners were very friendly, they had a bar which served food all day so you could snack when you wanted, and we stayed up many evenings til 2, 3 in the morning drinking and socialising with the other holiday makers
Considering we didn’t know what to expect, we were very happy with this choice, and am sure we will holiday at nikos apartments again.....only one thing I would like to say is BEWARE THE MOSQUITOS!!!!

We had a fantastic holiday at the Nikos Apartments. Dimitri and his wife were brilliant and made us very welcome. We were in 2 X 1 bedroom apartments - absolute bliss having our teenage girls in their own place! As there's only 20+ apartments we soon got to know our fellow holidaymakers, a lot of us met up in the bar late in the evening and we even kept Dimitri up until 4am one morning serving us all! We later found out he doesn't do it for everyone!
The apartments were spacious with loads of storage, we had 2 balconies/patios - one outside the bedroom and one outside the living area. They were very clean and regularly had clean towels.
The pool area is great, plenty of free sunbeds and a poolside bar so not far to stagger!
The apartments are down a quiet side road near the outskirts of Sidari but within walking distance of everything you need.
(We wanted to go back in summer 2006 but the Corfu flight no longer departs from our local airport AND the apartments are now with another - much more expensive - tour operator! Ah well we're trying Rhodes instead.)
