Just had holiday at Sun Maris Park, Marmaris. Staff are very friendly and rooms are good quality. Thats about the only good things! The food is terrible, I wouldnt feed it to a dog! The pool is below average, drinks are terrible and this hotel is supposed to be a 4 star. It really should be a 3 star!! Dissapointment!!!!!

Excellent Hotel: Staff really nice apart from one (the photographer is a horrible man who tries to rip people off, he shouts and tried to pick a fight more than once he should be sacked) Apart from that we had a first class stay at the hotel we have booked again for the end of September 09. Very good value for money.

good location
The degree of your satisfaction depends on your expectetions. We've stayed in ayderia for a week and really enjoyed our holiday. First of all, the price is really cheap for an all inclusive hotel which means the food is not be the best and the place is not a part of heaven. keeping this in mind, you have to list your priorities. Arraving at the hotel we were pleased to find that it is real close to the beach. you may hang around the pool all day and go to the beach just for swimming in 2 minutes on foot. and there is a big super market on the opposite. marmaris centre takes max 5 minutes by minibuses and you may even walk for half an hour. nearest bars are in 5 minutes walk from the hotel. You don't have much choice for foods since variety is very limited, but the taste is really good and in breakfast they cook very good omlettes which you can not find in many hotels of this kind. Although the staff is friendly, in some cases more than needed, the problem with the hotel is discipline. When we cheched in, they just gave us a paper to sign and we managed the rest, including carrying our baggage, finding remote controls for air conditioner and tv. Also the same things happened during checking out. The fridge was not working and when we asked it to be repaired, they refused by saying the concept is all inclusive and we wouldn't need it. but keep in mind that you can not go the bar for cold water in the middle of the night. anyway, beyond all negatives, we wanted to be near the beach and to the bars on our holiday and really had a nice time. there were many families with children, especially british, seem to have a nice time. but if your are looking for some place with big pool, wide variety of food and animation for this price I am sorry to announce that you can never reach your dream holiday. But if you are just looking for fun this could be the place.
Hotel Ayderia
We have stayed at the Ayderia for several years now. At first maybe i could agree with some of the comments made. However, as the years go on it is getting better and better. The hotel is family run and all staff very friendly. The food is not like you have in England but isn't that why people travel, to get a view of how other people live. The pool is very cold and only warms up when the sun has been on it all day, but the beach is only a short walk away so it is nice to spend the morning there and go back to the hotel around lunch. I would advise young people book here as it is value for money and very cheerful. It is also only a short walk from all bars and nightlife. As it is, I would definately recommend this to anyone apart from those people who are not adventurous with food and who only go round the hotel finding fault with things. Being situated quite near the police station means that the A.I. bar does close on time, but don't forget the indoor bar which will stay open as long as you like (and pay), but it is so cheap I don't know what else you can spend money on. So, if you want cheap and cheerful, then the Ayderia is for you. But for all you moaners, then there are still some nice places in Blighty (good luck with the weather).
Turkish Delight - NOT!!!
The Ayderia Hotel was sold to us as a family friendly hotel with a full entertainment programme - great as we have a lively 3 yr old who likes to boogie the night away, all inclusive so my husband could quietly drink himself into a stuper and endless wine to keep my mother and myself a little more than merry - BUT on arrival after a 10hr trip we were stung for £40 english pounds for a remote control to the TV and air conditioning we wouldn't have minded but the TV had no english channels and you could have worked the air con manually. The entertainment was in short supply - NONE at all one very upset child A I food and drink were a complete disappointment as lager seemed very weak and they had NO wine. The food was repeated every day or it looked like leftovers. Good job there was a lovely cafe on the beach and a good supermarket across the road as my son could not eat any of the food. On talking to other guests they were as unhappy as we were. The swimming pool was out of action for 4 of the 7 days we stayed due to a rain shower.!! The fire alarms do not work as they had a fire in the restaurant in the early hours and we were still sleeping. Lock up your valuables in the safe but the safe can be picked up from the floor and you can walk out with it. My son had a baseball cap stolen from the room as our friends had several football shirts taken. Be very careful if you decide to stay here they have not heard of health and safety. Our trip was not a complete disaster as Turkey is a wonderful country and some great people we will be returning to Turkey again but definitely not to the Ayderia.
Thiefs!!!!!!
worst hotel i have ever been in as it was clean that was all it had going for it the food was awful no selection at all couldnt call it all inclusive also having my jewellery stolen by the maids i wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone.
rubbish
where do i start with this hotel... it should not be allowed to be called a all inclusive for staters,i went with my partner,i would hate to have took the kids with us,the quality of foods was a disgrace,so was the portions, snack bar just doesnt happen, you can order burgers for approx 2hrs aday, which were more than often mouldy, there was cake left on the bar -uncovered! on a evening, this was classed as your snack choice. The larger looked very watered down, compared to what you got when the A.I finished, there was no ice creams available for any one. Our room was ok,but i was informed we had it lucky, the shower was more often COLD regards to time of day.. in a week i was there,i went in the pool twice,as it was constantly freezing cold, due to the poistion of the pool been in the shade.. as for entertainment... THERE WASNT ANY!! the hotel was in a ideal place,we went out every night. A.I finished a lot earlier than other hotels ive have been to.. overall i would never recomend this hotel to anyone, definate not if you are taking children..
Good Value for money!!
Hi, Just got back from a 2 week all inclusive holiday at the Ayderia. We had a great time regardless of some of the naff reviews we had read prior to going. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Food was okay and the salads were to die for with a good selection of cakes and jellies for the kids after dinner. The accomodation was basic and clean however it served its purpose. There are lots of sunbeds available and no need to set your alarm to get one. We didn't get up until 9 o'clock everyday and we never struggled. The location of the hotel is fantastic it is a 2 minute walk to the man made beach and a 20 minute walk to the harbour. On the downside the pool proved to be a little hazardess for those over zelous players, playing water polo and volleyball because of the chipped tiles in the bottom of the pool ending up with 7 blokes recieving cut toes. There is no animation on during the evening and the all inclusive bar shuts down at exactly 11pm. In additon to this when you arrive at the hotel you have to pay a £40.00 refundable deposit in case of any damage to the room. Upon checking out you have to wait until your room is inspected before you are given your deposit back. We would definately return to this hotel due to both its location and the friendly attitude of the staff.
what a ball
arrived in june.didnt know what to expect,to my suprise the staff were very friendly;in the pool bar the restarant and in the hotel bar.they worked all hours and were still very entertaining.the rooms were basic but clean.and i am going back in august keep up the good work.
'Faulty Towers' No Joke.!!
My wife and I arrived at this errm.... 'Hotel'.. for the want of a better word, on 23/june/06. at around 7pm, after 14 hours from leaving home,..including a 3 and a half hour coach ride from Bodrum airport,..only to be told there was no room for us, and they sent us to another Errm 'Hotel' down the road which can only be described as disgraceful. The following afternoon we finally got a room in the 'Ayderia',..but alas,..not for long. The air conditioning didn't work. SO,... they moved us to our THIRD ROOM,,.. which contained,.. Two single beds,!!!... Air conditioning the was not adaquate,...and kept going off ater 20 minutes,.. A wardrobe with a chunk out of the plinth,.. Toilet seats which were off the fixings,.. poor decor,.. A pillow each which were like pancakes,..and when my wife asked for an extra pillow,..they said.. ''No..we stopped doing that''. We learnt later that half the holiday makers were told that there wasn't a room for them,.. and had to spent the first night down the road. The food in this place was disgusting,..and there wasn't much of it either,..for eg. holiday makers were complaining that if you arrive a little late,..there was nothing left. Nearly every night,..the bar ran out of wine at around 9pm,.. and (Get this),.. also on 3 nights, ran out of ice. Durin the 5 days we stayed there, the lifts broke down Twice. They made some guests pay £40 deposit for the remote control for the so called Air Conditioning,.. I know you get the money back, ...(BUT THATS NOT THE POINT). We have stayed in hotels most of our lives, but can honestly say,.. this is the worst hotel we have ever booked into,.. and what is even worse news,.. I believe that 'GOLDTRAIL' the agent, knows all about whats going on,.. and are ripping folk off right,..Left ,.. and Centre. It's time folk got wise,..because in my honest oppinion,.. this hotel should be closed down,..and, by the way,.. Nearly everyone we spoke to in this hotel felt the same,.. Ohh yes..one or two would think it ok,.. mainly younger guests,.. who wouldn't complain anyway.... I gave this subject the name of FAULTY TOWERS. maybe its an insult on that programme,.... thanks for reading... from a VERY VERY angry couple.
Great week
Just returned from a week in the Ayderia Hotel.......great week on a budget!!! The hotel staff were fantastic - Mike the bar man is a star!!! All food was fine, you can expect the Ritz when you pay as little as we did!! The hotel is in a great location with the beach only a 5 minute stroll away. BE AWARE....DO NOT HAVE A TURKISH BATH IN THE HOTEL....UNLESS YOU WANNA BE FELT UP BY A TURK!! The little dog that everyone keeps going on about in other reviews really isnt that bad, he just yaps at bit!!! A great holiday - Marmaris was beter than expected and the weather was fantastic the whole way through. GO TO THE AYDERIA HOTEL - GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!!
IF YOUR ON A BUDGET
Just returned from a fantastic week in the ayderia hotel situated in marmaris turkey. On first impressions we thought we had done a bad thing (WE DID ARRIVE EARLY HOURS). But the next morning we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were so helpful. There was am excellent variety of food from a choice of two hot dishes served with chips, rice or pasta etc a variety of salads and a wide choice of desserts. This is not the right hotel for fussy, none adventurous eaters. The hotel is family run and serves typical Turkish food with not a lot of English dishes (WELL WE WERE IN TURKEY) if you want English food then go to Blackpool. The choice of drinks was local beer, vodka, raki, gin and soft drinks from cola, lemonade, orangeade, lime juice and tea and coffee. Ignore all the bad reviews as this is a really nice hotel but the bedrooms were basic.(IDEAL FOR A BASE, TO EXPLORE THE AREA) If you want to stay at the hotel for your entire stay then you may become a little bored. The hotel is closely situated to the beach, town, restaurants and clubs.
