Ayderia Hotel
The Ayderia Hotel is centrally located to bars shops and restaurants, and within 100 metres of the beach at Marmaris. The hotel boasts a nice large swimming pool with sunbathing areas around the pool. You could also take advantage of the scenic green garden surrounding the hotel, or enjoy a relaxing meal and soak up the pleasant atmosphere at the outdoor restaurant.

Absoloutely awful,
After arriving at this hotel in the middle of the night, the couple in front of us checking in were told that there was no room in the hotel for them and they had been booked into an alternative hotel, luckily for my boyfriend and I, or maybe not so lucky they had our room ready. As soon as we walked into our room we were greeted with a dirty single matress lying behind the door on the floor which we had to move. The room was very basic and the air conditioning wasnt working for the whole week which was awful in 100 degree heat and also leaked dirty water everywhere. The safe was just a tin box which could easily be lifted out the room. As for the food and drink, lets just say we didnt eat in the hotel once, whenever we asked for drinks we were told they didnt have any of it because they were closing in a couple of days for refurbishment, which was very frustrating as we had paid for it. The staff werent friendly or helpful at all and although we loved our first time in marmaris the hotel was a real dissapointment. Do not reccomend!!!!!!

ayderia hotel now called sunmaris park owned by russians.
i would give this hotel a rating of 1 star just for the room being kept clean and nothing for anything else.
all inclusive is a joke-drinks are rubbish vodka, gin, beer & wine.barman did not know what white rum was.one drink one person is stupid when guests are normally a couple.
food is crap, have to pay £3 for an english breakfast and the same if you wanted a hamburger and chips.3 choices of ? for lunch & dinner unamed meals.so called entertainment started at 22.30 ish & finished by 23.00 when bar shut.
new owners had a tall bald headed guy walking around keeping the staff on the ball but never talking to any of the guests to get their opinion(more than likely would have received negative comments).facilities reasonable,if you want a sunbed, get up at 6 am or go to the beach.
just one comment from another couple-their room-tiles coming off the wall in bathroom, wire bare on the hairdryer,tv not work, fridge not work, water coming through ceiling above their air conditioning.
4 others from sunmaris beach hotel, like being in stalag 13,all inclusive but had to pay to go the turkish night.
going for a cheap holiday- you get what you pay for -but this was- unprintable.

me and my family went to stay at this hotel last yr. there was 9 of us in total, 7 teenagers and our parents....we had a fantastic holiday
we stayed here for 2 weeks...what do u expect for a cheap all inclusive holiday??? you are not going to get fantastic food but there was something different everyday even if it was only one thing that changed!
all of the staff were really really friendly and always had time to sit and have a chat around the pool through the day and they even invited us out at night!
close to bar sea and sand what more could you want
would go back again...this year stopping next year but will definately be popping in to say hello to all of the brilliant people who work there!
if the hairdresser is still edi...go he is fantastic!!
make your own holiday guys. i cant always be put on a plate in front of u!

Do not go to this hotel! Marmaris is a lovely place with great boat trips, beaches and lots of restaurants, but the Ayderia Hotel disappointed my boyfriend and I. When we arrived late at night after travelling all day, we were extremely tired and looking forward to getting some sleep. The staff at reception informed us that our room was still occupied and we had to wait for an hour before another room was made for us, but in a few days we would have to move to the room we originally booked.
The fact that our room was not ready on our arrival was unprofessional and inconvenient and we also couldn't unpack properly! I can understand that mistakes happen sometimes, it was the manner we were dealt with which infuriated me. Not once did we get an apology! They did not care in the slightest. After a few of days we thought it strange that we hadn't heard anything about moving rooms, so we went to enquire at reception... they had forgotten about us.
After moving apartments, we found that the air conditioning didn't work, the staff told us they would fix it... they didn't. Our toilet overflowed and water was everywhere. It took 2 days for that to be fixed.
Food: repulsive.
Why anyone would want to come back to this hotel is beyond me! It needs MAJOR work, a new chef, someone to sort out the hideous garden and a bar person who smiles once in a while!
This is a 1 star hotel with a 3 star price.
Not in a million years would I recommend this hotel.

This hotel could not rate as a one star.
This hotel is filthy, we observed a cleaner mop the whole bar/catering area around a delivery of bread without dipping the mop into a bucket once.
The food was the same every day, salads were never replenished; if you were late you went with out.
The fridge was totally un-usable and smelt. Air conditioning system was filthy and leaked. The bathroom door and light fittings were broken and there was no hot water.
The electricity was off for a total of eight hours, when the manager was approached he was abusive, the bar man was un-pleasant and would do anything but serve you a drink.
The pool was filthy and unsafe. The relaxing grass area was uncut dirty and full of broken sun beds which were filthy too.
We went out every day, as the hotel was disgusting. I had to rate this dirty place to submit this note other wise its nil.

Pete, my partner, and I have been going to the Aydeira for 6years, with go sometimes on our own but usually with our children, now aged 20, 19 & 17. We try to go twice a year.
We all enjoy the hotel; it is great value for money. We have made so many friends there especially with the staff, they are lovely, friendly and helpful. (we have been to other hotels and no-one has ever made us feel as welcome as the people who work there and also the Manager).
I hear people complain about the food but the food is fine, not as much choice as that of maybe a 5* but you get meals to suit everyone and the snack bar is fine. (you get what you pay for!).
Plus you can always eat out for a change, as it is very cheap to eat out in Marmaris!
The hotel has 'Russian baths' 'hairdressers' 'internet cafe' a 'gym' and small shop. An inside & outside bar.
The rooms are clean and tidy and sheets and towels are changed daily and the rooms cleaned.
Not much entertainment I agree but it is only a 5min walk to the beach, bars, clubs, and restaurants. The hotel is ideally located so you can have a quiet time if desired or a fun night out, whatever you like to do!
Personally we all think the hotel is lovely, the staff are wonderful, and that’s why we go back year after year, Sandra and Pete.

My partner and I have been staying at the hotel Ayderia since 2001, we usually go twice a year, once on our own and with our family also. We've tried other places but end up back at the Ayderia.
Our 3 children (aged 20, 19, and 17) also love the hotel and my daughter and boyfriend are going back to the Ayderia in August.
I have seen that people complain about the hotel but for the prices they pay what do they want for their money! We go back time after time and so do a lot of other couples and families we've met over the years.
There isn't a lot of entertainment but you are a two minute walk from the beach front where there is loads going on anyway.
The food is fine for a 3*hotel and if you do feel like a change it is cheap enough to go and eat out in Marmaris. We have no complaints about the hotel.
The food and the snack bar is fine, the staff are wonderful and helpful and they look after you, they are very friendly and warm people and we certainly can't fault them at all. The rooms are also lovely and clean.
Highly recommended for a lovely relaxing time without costing a fortune. Better to book direct with the hotel and get your flights separately (works out cheaper) cuts out the agents who make a lot of money out of bookings!
The manager is very helpful and if requested he will arrange pick up from the airport & return. We go back time after time, certainly is value for money with a warm friendly atmosphere, Sandra & Pete x

Just got back from a week there, and I’m surprised to read all the bad reviews which if we read before we probably wouldn’t have gone.
Basically the hotel is clean, amazingly located and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
The food was nice and varied and there was something for everyone, we didn’t eat out once!
Admittedly there is no entertainment for families but there is loads to do in Marmaris.
The fitness suite consists of a broken pectoral fly machine and a dumbbell, and the satellite TV is all Turkish channels, but besides that a good basic hotel.
We would definitely go back to Marmaris and this hotel!

This is not the hotel for you if you have children as I do. No entertainment, very basic pool and snacks very limited, ice creams to be paid for and food very, very basic with very limited choice. No fruit or vegetables for a week!!
Bar closes at 11pm, or before, no evening entertainment and the hotel staff behind reception very unfriendly and unhelpful.
Although our 2 rooms ok, (due to my e-mailing beforehand I was told by the manager who pointed out how lucky I was!), many other people were very unhappy with their rooms and the cleanliness of them. Even in our rooms Sky not available, fridge did not work and rodent traps in rooms.
Air conditioning units ineffectual.
Many much better hotels available locally.

This hotel needs a revamp if it is to keep a high rating. We travelled as a family of four adults and one child.
Arriving at the hotel around 3.30 am we had a family room which consisted of 1 dbl bed and 2 singles, no bed for the 2 yr old this was provided 2 days later (and definitely was not up to safety standards, didn’t bother to make any remark to staff because they can only provide the equipment they have).
The only partition between the two sections of the rooms was a long net curtain which when you have a mix of male and female is not adequate. There was a fridge in the room which we thought was a god send. Not so, this fridge never worked for the week we were there despite been "fixed" by the repair man.
Air conditioning in the room leaked over the top of the double bed when used, this also was fixed but never worked correctly.
The shower although it worked had certainly seen better days. Wardrobe space should have been doubled as there was only one wardrobe and 6 small drawers for all of us so a lot of the time we were working out of suitcases.
Food in the hotel was adequate though it did lack imagination and was very repetitive and we were only there a week.
The pool was fine except for the grass matting which was all around the pool to prevent any one slipping, this would pull up and become a hazard when there were strong winds blowing it is in need of a lot of glue and attention.
Drinks were given to everyone in glasses rather than plastic cups this seemed to us as very dangerous, as it also applied to the children and we all know how easily children forget not to run. There were plastic cups available so we think staff should be told (as is the case in most hotels) no glass cups at the poolside.
We can recommend the Turkish bath at this hotel and in particular Nick who made us feel relaxed and pampered. This was the only really good part of this hotel.
We have been to Marmaris before and would recommend Marmaris to everyone but not this hotel judging on our experience.

I have just returned from my holiday at Ayderia Hotel. On arrival my family was made to sit in reception as there was no family room available. We were shown three rooms all with two single beds in. There were three adults and a child and I had booked a family room.
After 30 minutes I was getting fed up. They then gave us another room, at first look it seemed alright.
The next morning we had no water and no electricity in the hotel as they didn’t have a generator. They had to cook breakfast on a camping stove! At the time we had to laugh, but over the next three days the water was switched off again through the day, it was so hot and we felt so dirty, as we could not shower.
Our balcony was rocking so we called the rep, and they declared it unsafe. We also had no light in our bathroom and the fridge didn’t work.
The food was the same everyday, and not very nice. People were complaining and asking to be moved to a different hotel. We were offered a move to another hotel, but not until the last day, so we didn’t see much point then.
We were advised not to swim in the pool as it hadn’t been cleaned; the staff said they didn’t have the equipment to clean it.
We could not believe the bar! It was one drink at a time, you had to finish one drink before they would serve you another, but they served everything separately i.e., you couldn’t have a vodka and coke, you got the vodka then once that was finished you could get the coke! They were also charging when it was meant to be all inclusive!
To be fair, the staff were really nice, and it was not their fault. The reps there are going mad and when you spend a lot of money and only go on holiday once a year, you want to enjoy it.
We were told that the hotel was on the beach but it was a bit of a walk down a dark road, not safe on your own, especial in the dark.
It’s a 2 star at the most, so I feel it was false advertising, so be aware.

Having booked a late deal with Vision holidays i read the above reviews with horror. I almost phoned and cancelled and to be honest was dreading the prospects of a good holiday. How wrong could I be!!
I found the Ayderia an excellent hotel, close to all the local amenities, the staff very helpful, the hotel clean and all of the rooms electrical equipment working properly. I did hear however that the hotel was completely renovated in the close season.
I must admit the food choice was quite limited, however still enjoyable, though fussy eaters may not find much to their taste. To conclude, I am planning to visit Marmaris again, and i will be staying at the Ayderia when I return.
