Just spent a week away in Aparthotel Aquasol in Palma Nova. Knowing that there were not any lifts, we asked for a ground floor apartment due to having a baby & pushchair & got it, however we had to go down stairs, up them again & and then down again just to get to out apartment! Which defeated the object of having a ground floor! Our water in the aparment was yellow, we have a 10 month old daughter and was not willing to bathe her in it. When we asked the man at reception to move us, he told us all of the rooms were the same as a pipe had burst. Therefore we asked to move hotels, but were told it would cost us an extra 150 euros. Which we didn't have, so we had to stay and boil the kettle about ten times every night to bathe our daughter which took about an hour just to fill the bath halfway. We also discovered an ants nest which spread over the whole apartment. Again, nothing was done about this when we told the receptionist and we had to deal with it ourselves.
The pool area was nice, however, everybody was cramped up onto one side of the pool as there are lots of trees and one side was shaded for the whole day. So there wasnt a lot space & privacy.
Our room was cleaned every other day and were always left clean towels as well.
Would definetley return to palma nova, but not this hotel!

we went in a party of 8, 3 adults 4 children and 1 infant. We were told we would have a 3 bed apartment, but instead got 2x1 bed apartments on the third floor poles apart from each other, and with a 1 year old and a pushchair this was a nightmare as there are no lifts. Hotel staff and bar staff were the most miserable and ignorant people you will ever come across in your life. The shop and the bar prices are a total rip off. Our apartment got cleaned once in the week we stayed there, and that is only because we requested it as we had no clean towels after 4 days into our stay, the other apartment in our party didnt get cleaned at all and they had to use our towels as after requesting them 3 times, they gave up in the end! Our apartment was in a terrible state of repair and when we opened our door to get out on the third day, a chunk of plaster fell off and landed on my 6 year olds head, i complained to the rep, they didnt seem interested, said that they would get somebody to look into it, they never did and by the time we left, half the wall had fallen down
Entertainment was good and the pool was nice and clean, loungers tend to go by 7.30 in the morning though.
food was very bland and boring, very overpriced too
It is in a great location, palma and magalluf are great places with lots of bars/restaurants/shops and excelent beaches. I will definately return but NEVER to this place
MORE 2 STAR THAN 3 STAR PLUS!!

Just got back from a week staying at the aquasol and after reading reviews was dreading it! When we arrived we let the manager know that we did not require maid service (did not want to risk having anything stolen having read the recent reviews!) We stayed in 3 bedroomed apartment and were self catering, there was a utility room with mop/brushes etc. We rang reception when we needed clean towels and they were provided promptly. The hotel was lovely, the staff friendly, the pool area clean. We didn't see any rubbish left about as has been remarked upon previously. The hotel entertainment was good for kids and I didn't think the bar prices were any more expensive than what you'd find at hotels here. The only let down was all the steps, which was awkward with a pushchair and probably impossible for anybody in a wheelchair. We all had a great time and would definitely go back for 2 weeks next time!

I went with my family for two weeks. We had a wonderful time. We found the hotel staff friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms were kept very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The only problem we had was that we were not given enough towels for 5 adults but this was soon remedied. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on quality of food. None of the guests had anything stolen during the 2 weeks we were there. We had more of an issue with the holiday reps than with the hotel. We are planning to return next year, but this time will book direct through the hotel!

We went with a group of eight for one week my family consisted of 2 adults and 2 boys aged 9 and 11. Great place to stay if you like mountaineering we must have walked up and down over 800 steps during our stay. The pool is the best feature of the complex as it is clean and a fair size, we spent most of our time there. Sunbeds are available but you have to be down by the pool for 7:30am to put your towel on the beds or you will not get one. Our apartment was on the ground floor, it smelt damp, the sofa beds smelt of urine so I complained and had the covers changed and four days into our holiday I tried to use the oven and the apartment fused. There was a leak under the sink in the bathroom which we put up with as it only happened if there was a lot of water going down the plug hole. We found the cleaning staff friendly although they spoke little English. They changed the bedding once during the week and mopped the floor twice. The bar and the shop prices were very expensive so we bought our beer/soft drinks and food at the local spar shop however there is a Llidl store about a mile away so a taxi trip at the begining of the week would be advisable. Entertainment was good for the kids but not so great for adults. The other family in our group had no problems with their room but they shared the same views about all other aspects.

There was 8 in our party and we had a three bedroom apartment on the ground floor
which we had to go up the stairs and back down again to get to our room which was a pain due to our party having small children and a pushchair. There are lots of stairs all around the hotel which are not suitable for people who have wheelchairs or pushchairs.
We stayed there for two weeks and booked half board the food was fine, had a differnet
choice what to eat each day but this was only on a weekly turn around and after the
first week the food got boring!!!
The maid came to clean our apartment twice a week but after she had finshed it looked like she hadnt even bothered to try and doing anything to the room, she always left
our room door and the windows open,a couple of times a member of our party had to
close windows after she had finshed cleaning as she just left them wide open for anyone to climb in and take something.
There was a couple of breakins when we was there and they all happend to been ground floor rooms. We think that the maid was involded as there was no forced entry.
A few item went missing in our apartment such as underwear and hair clips etc which seem to weird as they are items you wouldnt check, only when you got home.
The hotel shop is a rip off and i wouldnt advised that you brought anything from there as most items are out of date such as milk etc ,there is a spa shop about 3 mintues away from the hotel which sells branded items at cheap prices.
The Hotel is only mintues away from Palma nova which had great resturants and bars and only 10 mintues walk away from Magaluf for the nightclubs and partying.
I would come back to Palma Nova BUT I WOULDNT COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL!!!

Nice hotel very friendly staff, good entertainment great for familys with kids. Not ideal for people with wheelchairs or pushchairs as there is lots of stairs even if you stay on ground floor you have to go upstairs then downstairs to get into the GROUND floor apartment. Food is okay one bad point the evening meal is done a weekly set menu. ect every monday you have the foods to choose from.
Apartment is a *** quality we stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment all three rooms are a good size kitchen very small and living area also very small, the bathroom was an okay size. Bad point there was ground floor rooms being broken into with no forced entry...the maid who cleaned our flat liked to leave the front door open and all the widows wide open once she had been so one of the members from our party had to check on the room every hour or so we informed our rep about the problem as things such as underwear and hair clips ect were going missing from the room.
The pool area is not big enough for the hotel there are plenty of sunbeds BUT not enough space around the pool to put them, be prepared to be up and at the pool for 7.25 to get a space around the pool.

Have recently returned from two weeks at the Aquasol with a sound word of warning for anyone due to stay there... if you're in a ground floor apartment, watch out for your belongings.
In the time we were there, there were three break-ins to our knowledge. We were one of them and they got into our safety deposit box and took my purse and its contents, some English money, a DS, an Ipod, MP3 players, a mobile phone and a wedding ring. We wouldn't normally be so careful with things like Ds and MP3 players etc but as relatives had been broken into the previous week (also in a ground floor room) and hadn't had a safety deposit box we were playing safe and putting anything of value in there. Ironically the contents of my purse (minus credit / debit cards etc) have just been returned to me in the post!
There was no sign of forced entry but the patio door (which we know we'd securely fastened) was open when we got back. Whereas the hotel / reps showed little interest when relatives had been broken into, they were more surprised and attentive with us - probably because they'd gotten into the safety deposit box.
In terms of facilities etc the hotel was well located, clean, well equipped. The drinks at the bar were expensive. Lots of steps everywhere so difficult for prams / pushchairs and wheelchairs. Lots of families there in August which was great for us with two active boys.

Do NOT stay here if you require a pushchair or a wheelchair as there is no access at all. The ramps outside are so steep you can ski down them and if you manage to get into the hotel there are steps everywhere, the hotel has 4 floors and no lifts. The breakfast was bland and boring and to be honest, the cleaner in the rooms didn't do a great job. However, the hotel is in a great position just minutes from the beach and the staff were friendly enough. The pool although not the biggest was very good ranging from 2m down to baby pool but there always seemed to be someone wanting to play vollyball over the fence that seperates the two halves of the pool which got very annoying. Overall a good place for a family to stay as long as your kids are out of a buggy.

Hotel was good value for money and exactly as we expected. Location is good, a few minutes from the beach at Palma Nova and five minutes from the fleshpots of Magaluf.
There are a few steps to deal with, however this should not present any problem for the majority of visitors. If you have anyone in your group with a physical disability then ask for a ground floor apartment when you book the holiday.
We stayed for one week and the apartment was serviced three times during that period which seems reasonable to me. The area around the pool was cleaned every night and the grounds were kept neat & tidy.
Sure, there were a few cockroaches to be seen around the stairwells but please remember, they are indiginous to the area and have as much right to be there as we do.
Overall we had a really good holiday and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Went to Aquasol for a week in June,
Rooms only get cleaned once in a week and we had to empty are own bins, beware the cleaners will pinch anything you leave out my husbands Brandy was taken and we were in the room they only came in to change the towels,
Bingo is played every night,if you win you only get vouchers to spend in the hotel rip off,
The girl that calls the bingo checks the numbers but does not read them out so open to a scam.
I would NOT recommend this Hotel as theft goes on and First choice dont want to know.

I was pleasantly suprised with this hotel! Absolutely amazing location... perfect distance to palma nova and magaluf centre. Having been last year and stayed in the centre of magaluf and had the worst holiday ever, this hotel was brilliant. Was slightly dubious about staying at a "family" hotel as we were a group of 3 women in our very early twenties but it turned out to have a real mix of age groups. The hotel evidently separated younger groups and families in different apartment blocks which i thought was very considerate for the families as they wouldnt be affected by the noise. The rooms were well equipped, however the maid service was not up to scratch.. we had our room cleaned on the second day but then nothing! we only really needed clean towels and when we enquired at reception they were more than happy to send the cleaner so this made up for it! security was brilliant at the hotel and i know some people were annoyed at the "no guest" rule but i was relieved by the rule. They explained why they had it and it totally made sense. The pool was great and there was plenty of sunloungers. I had to get up around 9 or 10 to secure the best section if the terrace (which is by the pool side snack bar FYI) it has the sun for the longest time! The reps were really good with the children and every morning there was aqua dance and aqua aerobics for them and well as many other activities. This hotel is really good for families and young people!! I will definately go back next year! btw spar is the best place to get your food and water from! so cheap!! dont go to the hotel store or the supermarket to the left of the hotel.. just keep walking a little longer n spar is there!! and another tip.. magaluf is to the right of the hotel but try not to stop in at "mecca" restaurant on the way! we had a scary psycho waiter, who wudnt shut up and was talking to us about illegal substances! just hope he chooses his audience because dont think his converation would go down to well with a family!! Enjoy!!
