We stayed in 3 bedroom apartment on the ground floor over looking the pool area and it was lovely. The room were lovely and clean all the time thanks to the cleaners. Situated in a great place for the beach and walking distance to Magaluf. The only real problem was the floors, they were very slippery for children but apart from that it was great.

Entertainment at night was excellent you couldn’t find a better singer and the hypnotist was good too. I was hypnotized for the first time and it was good. The barbeque on a Friday is a must the food was fantastic and lots of free drink.

Already booked up for next year, by far one of the best holidays I have been on.

Thanks to everyone at Aquasol for making our time their fantastic.

This aparthotel is advertised as a family one. If you have a small family I would think twice about going here. There were gangs of young men/women who basically don't give two hoots about anyone else except themselves. Jumping in the pool and waking everyone up at 5am. During the day, shouting, swearing, jumping in the pool with young kids about and basically being English abroad.

The staff were not really very friendly, in fact I thought really rude. Entertainment was ok if you like bingo etc. The worst part of the holiday was having to put up with the arrogant English themselves. If you want a sun bed by the pool, you have to join the club of getting up at 0630, going down and laying your towels across them and then returning at 11:00 expecting them still to be free, and complaining when I've moved them as they haven't been around for three hours. And we call the Germans!

Resort is really nice, good selection of places to eat in the evening, good clean beaches and surrounding areas.

Magaluf about 15 mins walk up the road is holiday hell, if you like Blackpool (why do you!?) you will like this place, horrible, British this British that I'd rather eat my own leg than stay in that place, although the beaches are nice. apart from the British making a nuisance of themselves as usual!

I'd stay well clear unless you watch soaps, reality TV shows, wrestling and play bingo and read The Sun, say f*** every two minutes and drink for the sake of it because you're under the impression that it's what you do on holiday to prove you're a man! If you do any of the above, go there, if you don't, don't!

We were in room N2 at the back of the hotel. Had to go up and down a lot of steps with wheel chair.

This room is a 3 bedroom apartment, we got broken in to one night, the thief’s got in to the back bedroom as we were sat in the lounge, we heard a door open we thought it was our 2 year old granddaughter getting out of bed, when we went to look, our bedroom door was open and my son could see a man getting out of the window.

The hotel did not want to phone the police but did after we shouted at him. No reply on the Thomas Cook 24 hour help line phone number, had to phone them the next day. I had to tell Thomas Cook I was a travel agent before they would send someone to take us to the police station to register the theft.

Neither the hotel management or Thomas Cook were helpful or sympathetic. As this was only the second time we had visited Mallorca and been robed both times we will not be going back to this island again.

Would not recommend this hotel to anybody, it is said to be family friendly but it is not suitable for families with small children with pushchairs.

First impression of hotel was that it was a bit "concrete" compared to some of our other holiday experiences. We arrived quite late due to a delay at Manchester Airport and although there was a meal waiting for us, we had no idea how long it had been sat at room temperature. There was also nobody to show us to our accommodation - initially, all a bit daunting. However, by morning we had a more favourable view (in all aspects) of the Aquasol Hotel, now with the sun ablaze with a super location overlooking the pool.

The apartments are very spacious - all modern amenities - two large bedrooms plus kitchen and bathroom. There is a security safe in the room which we'd heard we should utilize to keep our valuables intact. The position within Palma Nova could not have been bettered - perfectly convenient for shops, beach, public transport etc.

It appeared most guests were on self catering only - shame really as the food was really good - not a massive choice, but this was low season. A special mention and kindness regards to Thomas, the food and beverages manager, for his kindness, (my wife and I were really suffering from bad colds that week) - he was a real star! Entertainment every night, Andy and Yvonne do a cracking job keeping all generations happy.

On the slightly negative side, however, the apartment was not as spotless as we're used to. Also the maid service was a bit sparse, although if you needed extra towels etc., you only had to ring down. Also, the beginning of the holiday was a little spoilt as we were caught up in a price war for trips and excursions, between the tour operator and the hotel.

On one trip the hotel was half the price - keep your guard up during that infamous welcome meeting. I suppose the worse feature is the very lax law in Majorca regarding smoking in public areas - sadly in the main bar, the kids were subjected to this, also. Our first time to Majorca - it's a beautiful island - lots to do and see, along with terrific weather, even out of season.

We've since found out that the hotel are happy to offer accommodation on a 'direct' basis, offering a huge saving on brochure price - very tempting - we would definitely consider a return visit.

Just back yesterday, apartment was clean, well furnished with plenty wardrobe and drawer space for 4. Kitchen with plenty utensils, 4 ring gas hob, oven, kettle, teapot and toaster with off kitchen wash room, bath with good power shower, central heating and air conditioning.

Complex has Pool, sunbathing area, indoor entertainment area, reception and 24hr small shop and restaurant and internet connection. Organised daytime activities i.e. football, pistol and rifle shooting, basketball and pool competitions.

Evening entertainment every night including John-Paul Bradshaw (blues-not to be missed), Elvis, Magician, Parrot Show, Bingo, Kids Disco. Thomas Cook reps and the Entertainment Team were friendly and helpful and always around. 5mins walk to shopping in Palma Nova and 10 min walk to shopping in Magaluf.

20mins walk to Go-karts, 2 Water parks, BCM (Large Disco) and Pirates Show. Great location for all age groups. Will definitely return.

Went to Aquasol 25th july-2nd august me partner and our kids 6 and 11 was a bit wary at first because of some of the reviews. Got a cab to hotel this cost 30 euros and only took 20 minutes, waited for our room to be ready kids got in pool.

We were in block m at the back of the complex was on the second floor but as we didn't have a pushchair this was no problem (there are a lot of steps) the hotel is in a great location turn left out of hotel and 2mins walk to beach where you can hire sun loungers and pedalos the beach is spotless and there are lifeguards. If you go right out of hotel you end up at Magaluf a bit to noisy.

Have already booked to go back this July for 10 days booked rooms direct with hotel much cheaper and flights from BMI. The only down side is people coming back from nights out woken twice but air con has been fitted so can keep windows shut at night.

Plus points:

Very Clean. Air con for the hot nights and central heating for thoses cold nights (March was cool) Location was good easy walking to Magaluf and surrounding areas. Towels changed every two days cleaner every two days.

Negative feed back:

Expensive 1.50Euros in surrounding bars and in Magaluf for a pint but 3 Euros in Hotel. liters of water in Hotel 2.20 Euros in Supermarket .52 Euro cents. Just a few examples that the place is ripping you off so shop around.

Entertainment. What entertainment. It was absolute rubbish starts at 20.30 for the kids for an hour the would you believe "Bingo" for another hour the at 22.30 the so called main show starts, like watching paint dry. Although I was not eating there I heard of lots of complaints that the food was not up to much not much variety and sometimes cold.

Swimming pool needed a clean but never saw anyone cleaning it. Although it was very cold for even the bravest swimmer.

The Aquasol is very clean and our room had a kitchen and living room separated by a breakfast bar style table and four chairs, bedroom and bathroom. Although we were on half board basis, our kitchen had a toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, full oven and hob.

There was a wide and varied selection of food for both breakfast and evening meal.

We booked our holiday as it was advertised as a family resort. Our room was on the "ground floor", but we had to go up and down 4 sets of steps just to get to our room. To get to the restaurant we had to try and maneuver the pushchair down approx 20 step down a spiral staircase, and back up again afterwards.

Neither our hotel or any bar or restaurant in Palma Nova, or Magaluf was suited to our young family. The high chairs were basically converted bar stools, with no safety straps. A lot of the chairs did not even had bars across the front two leg dividers.

Although we tried dozens of bars and restaurants, the only place we found with baby changing facilities was the airport on our way home.

The Thomas Cook plane was very cramped with hardly any leg room (even for me at 5'5", my knees just about touched the seat in front), definitely not suitable for people with long legs. In fact it made a Monarch plane look roomy.

On the plane and at the welcome meeting it was all sell, sell, sell. During our holiday we asked the rep at the hotel a question and received a hard sell speech.

Although our holiday was cheap, it was certainly not up to the standards that Thomas Cook advertise.

I am well traveled - over 70 trips abroad to over 25 countries - I have said for a long time that I would never again travel on a Monarch airplane, I have now added Thomas Cook planes and Mallorca to my list of never to do again.

Myself, Wife and 5 year old daughter have just returned after a week at Aquasol.. Firstly the rooms were nice and luckily we had a room with a pool view.

The pool is self is ok but is partly shaded by trees which can make the pool very cold and if you are a sun worshipper will spend the day moving around the pool area following the sun, Personally I would head to the beach where the water is fantastically warm and the sand is also very clean. The hotel itself is a rip off and alot more expensive than most for drinks (1 bottle of Budweiser e 3.80 or san Miguel e3 a pint). The kids club was good and my daughter enjoyed spending time there with Mini Malki who made the effort to say bye to my daughter on our last night.

The evening entertainment was not very good and the staff made no effort to get people involved especially the kids for mini disco and the cabaret performed by the entertainment team was the most diabolical experience of my life, watching people on stage pretending to be scousers was not my idea of good entertainment and this view seemed to be shared by 75% of the audience, and can only presume the other 25% had fallen asleep. Jon Paul Bradshaw was entertaining singing songs from The Blues Brothers almost other things and the hypnotist was good.

My main concern was the fact some friends we met over there had there apartment broken into on the first night while watching a magician show, and were not taken seriously by the hotel staff or the Thomas Cook reps. Then on there last night they returned early some one was in the process of breaking in again and attempted to smash in the safety deposit boxes were disturbed by the 6 year old of the family putting the key card in, scarped
out the back window which lead on to waste land at the back of the hotel.

Also the staff are the most ignorant I have every met, Unhelpful and rude. I would not return to the aquasol or Palma nova for that matter, unless you enjoy spending your time eating British food all the time and watching re runs of "Only fools and horses which are shown in several of the bars/restaurants, or you go on holiday to watch soap operas.

On the plus side we had good weather 5 out of 7 days and the beaches in Palma nova and neighbouring Magalluf were great and the whole resort is kept clean but I think I Will stick to Cyprus or Greece where the locals are alot more friendly and accommodating especially to children.

Nice roomy apartments - ours could have done with a lick of paint but still nice. Apartments even have an in-built outdoor area!!!! (a small room off the kitchen where you can throw your beach stuff (lilos, snorkelling gear etc).

Large entertainment area - although entertainment was a bit butlinesque. Bar area and reception nice.

The staff were extra-friendly (a big hi to Tony).

The location within resort is excellent - a few steps into Palma Nova and a walk into Magalluf in five minutes or so.

The kids loved the large swimming pool and the kids club.

Will definitely be returning.

I went to the aqua sol at the beginning of September for a quick week away, and we made the right choice.

The aqua sol had everything for all types of ages, there was young groups of people, families and also the elderly. The apartments have everything you need in them, we stayed half board but we also has all the facilities of what you get when you go self catering, fridge, toaster, cooker etc. They do 1 bedroom apartments and bigger.

The food was excellent, they catered for vegetarians, and there was something different every night to eat, and they also catered well for the children. The pool was a good size, and there was also a kids pool as well, there was plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the grounds, we saw that the pool got cleaned every night as well.

The aparthotel was in one of the best locations, it was only 5 minutes down the road to the big sandy beach, and also shops and plenty of restaurants, for those wanting a lively holiday Magalluf was only a ten minute walk. I travelled with one of the best holiday companies, there was no delays, the flights was fantastic and the reps were always there when you needed them. The entertainment at night was fantastic they had everything from kids entertainment early on in the night to bingo, and plenty more.

I would really recommend the aquasol.

One last thing the apartments were cleaned every day.

Fantastic hotel for the standard we expected. Have nothing bad to say bar we had a few ants in our room but that is expected when you have kids and it’s hot.

The pool was great lots of things going on at night to keep you entertained the bbq is worth the money on a Friday night. It is in a central location not far from Magalluf or the beach. There’s plenty of things around the hotel to do including aqua parks and the pirate show which I would recommend. Overall go there its fab.

Were unlucky enough to have a team of 16 ex army men? Aged between 30/45 who were an utter disgrace, and my only hope is that they go on their family holiday and meet up with some of what they dished out during ours. Cheers guys, you ruined a lot of well earned family holidays!

Although these idiots were not Thomas Cook clients, Thomas Cook must stop advertising these apartments as ‘family’ orientated and must stop sending clients with children to the Aquasol until this is resolved. If you have a family, do not take your children there!

I booked the holiday online and if am honest didn’t pay that much so I was very surprised at the quality of the apartment.

it was clean and spacious (even with 2 kids running around)the kitchenette was adequate and we had a great view of the pool. One down side was that their wasn’t a lift and we were on the 4th floor which meant us carrying the pushchair up and down every day but I guess it was all good exercise.

The resort it self was fantastic the beach was just a sort walk away. The restaurants were very friendly and the food was very good. There’s also a large supermarket just a sort walk from the hotel its alot cheaper than the supermarkets on the main strip and its located just behind the hotel.

As we booked direct the children weren’t on the 'kids club list' so we asked a rep if it was possible for our children to join they were very friendly and welcomed the children. Their was a small charge but it was well worth it the kids loved it.

Evening entertainment was good they catered for everyone. I would recommend the BBQ it was lovely and well worth the small charge.

Overall the holiday was fantastic and I would recommend the aqua sol to anyone, I cant wait to go back hopefully will be back in September!!.
