We ended up getting a last minute deal to Palma Nova and ended up staying at the Aquasol hotel.
I would say the accommodation is nice, the only problems were all the steps to get to your room.
Also some of the staff went on like they didn’t want to help you out at times except from when you was buying something from the shop (which was a rip off).
The Aquasol is situated in good walking distance to the beach and to Magaluf for a night out.
Over all I enjoyed my holiday there and gave it 7/10.

Just returned today, disappointing all round.
Firstly, we paid top prices for Easter hols expecting kids club and maybe something for Easter only to arrive and to be told by rep that we were 'out of season and May would be the start of the activities’.
Yet to have travelled in May would have been £100 cheaper per person!
Accommodation was basic and definitely not 3 star plus more like 2, we made the mistake of upgrading to bed & breakfast before going only to find the food poor and half the price, also kids would have eaten free, saving even more money.
Staff were not very helpful if they could be bothered to even speak to you, all with the exception of Andy the entertainer, who quite frankly made the holiday bearable as he made the effort to please the guests...so I would give him 4 stars!!
We ate out in the evening loads of choice, Pirates worth a visit and defo the Aquatic circus if it's there. Do not book through the reps though there are cheaper deals around, also you have to make your own way to Pirates.
Also, if you’re thinking of staying at the Aquasol check out their direct prices as we would have saved a staggering £900.00 if we had booked flight and accommodation separately.
The transfer from airport is also only 35 Euros one way so worth the trouble as you save so much.

We have been to the aquasol twice and thoroughly enjoyed it! Last time round I was unable to book the aquasol and reluctantly booked elsewhere.
The other hotel was awful. Cramped, noisy and up a very steep hill so we dragged our suitcases down to the aquasol and paid to stay there for the remainder of our holiday. I can honestly say I think its great, for couples or families.
The entertainment is good, it’s near to restaurants, shops and the beach. I didn’t think it was overly expensive at the bar, although I agree that the shop is extortionate. It’s a clean, friendly hotel and I will be going back.

Great place to stay. Grounds are very impressive! We were a group of lads going there and thought it looked dare I say a bit posh for lads on there clubbing holiday. Turned out great though as there wasn’t the usual idiots there what you find at the Jungla and co.
Was only a 3 euro taxi ride into the heart of Magaluf which could have been walked in less than 10 mins but we were lazy. Think having it out of the heart of Magaluf was a bonus as it didn’t get affected by the rubbish and mess that goes hand in hand with the clubbers. Overall a great hotel that I would definitely go back to for the money.
The restaurant downstairs of the hotel is very grand. I thought we’d seriously got in the wrong hotel when we went down there for our breakfast all with hangovers. 9/10.

My boyfriend and I went to the Aquasol as a last minute deal and genuinely didn’t care about what it was like as long as it was hot, sunny and we didn’t have to do anything. Stepping off the plane we had our wish!
When we reached the Aquasol and had checked the first thing one holiday maker said to us while we were dragging our suitcases up the steps in reception was 'there are plenty more of those to go'. She wasn’t kidding - 64 steps later (may sound pedantic but trust me, when you had to walk up them so many times its exhausting!) we reached our apartment.
The apartment was huge a large lounge, dining kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. A disappointing balcony when we opened the curtains and realised we looked over a main road. We had all general facilities including a gas hob but nothing to light it with.
It some became apparent that the hotel was very family orientated and I imagine it would have been a welcome relief for parents as had an in house entertainment team. We found the bingo and disco a little beyond us and chose to eat out and get our own entertainment each night - although we did see a fantastic hypnotist show one night that I would recommend to anyone - hence the reason I've rated it a four rather than two. (They advertise the shows to non residents too). I'd give the entertainment team a 10 out of 10 for effort though.
The biggest disappointment was the staff. Our room was cleaned on our first day and the day before we left. The cleaners never came in between and one day even left sheets outside the door for us to change! The reception staff were not at all approachable and the Thomas Cook rep was rude (admittedly in my experience very unusual for them) and there was little we could do.
The surrounding outside of the hotel were fantastic and a world apart from the apartments. The beach is gorgeous and so clean (other than a stupid amount of cigarette ends!) the shops are varied and there are hundreds of them and the restaurants are about 10 minutes walk towards Magaluf or 5 minutes towards Palma and are also excellent with good service. (Lots of Brits abroad)
Would definitely go back to Mallorca but not to this aparthotel. I imagine families may have a better review but it certainly doesn’t deserve the 3*plus rating Thomas Cook award it in their brochure. Thankfully we still got our sun!

Good hotel with entertainment for all. There was a parrot show for the kids in the evening. Food was excellent. Breakfast especially!
Rooms were good but did suffer a little with ants but not a major problem. Would go back there as it was a cheap holiday and was quite good for the money. Amenities in the apartment were basic but they all worked well.
Grounds of hotel were very nice looking.

Booked on last minute for myself and 2 children so didn't know what to expect, but it was great. Accommodation bit noisy from traffic on main road on our side but otherwise clean and well maintained. Kids loved it, the Kids Club kept them entertained and they loved the reps
Entertainment in the evening was really good. The reps worked really hard and went out of their way to make sure kids were happy. (thanks to all Thomas Cook employees from Nicole and Chloe Tyler xx)
Resort was lovely, and as long as the kids were happy, I was happy!

Very good hotel for 2 keys. Clean with change of towels and cleaners everyday. We had ants in our apartment but we were ground floor.
Probably not a problem if you’re higher. Wasn’t a great deal of them though. Pool was good and very clean and facilities were also good. Breakfast in a morning was 5 euros all you could eat. Awesome for the money.
Rate the breakfast 5 star. Perfect after a heavy night on the booze.

Hiya, this year we stayed in the aqua sol hotel. The hotel is very clean the cleaners change the towels and bins every couple of weeks. The rooms have air conditioning but we realized you had to shut the doors for it to work. We were in an apartment at the back of the hotel so there were a few steps. The pool is very nice and is cleaned every day.
The shop in the hotel is very dear the prices are too much but you come out of the hotel walk up the road and there is a supermarket called caprabo they sell everything and are cheap. The entertainment in the hotel is very good there’s bingo a children’s disco then a show.
We went to the western water park it is a really good day out we paid at the reception the bus picked us up and took us there it took about 10 mins to get there we took our own drinks but its lucky we did because the prices for drinks and crisps are rather dear there they have horses, shows, slides, pools, cafes and loads more. The nightclub BCM is very good as well. And the best thing is Magaluf is just down the street and walk the other way and its the beach (The beach has pedalos, bananas, speed boats and cafes)
xx The aqua sol is a very good and I would recommend it xx

Highly recommended! We loved our visit to the Aquasol. Friendly staff, great location, great entertainment nightly, lovely pool and bar area.
Only trouble is the amount of stairs as there are no lifts and its not so good when lugging suitcases up flights of stairs.
Aquasol in great location. between Magaluf and Palma Nova and very close to the beach!

Hi everyone I went to the Aquasol on the 3rd of July until the 7th and I had such a great time! It was fabulous from the bar tenders to the kids crew everyone was so helpful and was there to help your every need!
The pool was a good size and fun to be in. Loads of fabulous people there and a good games room and a computer! The rooms were gorgeous! Perfect size with air conditioning and loads of storage space and a shower/bath with hot water all week round! I am definitely going back to this hotel when I am older and I know I will enjoy myself as much as the last time!
Not far from shops, beaches and nightlife a fun filled holiday suitable for children everyone’s needs were catered for and more I loved it! There were not lifts but we all need a bit of exercise so I didn't mind.

First holiday I've ever felt like raving about. Room was first class, couple of maintenance problems such as the shower breaking but they were dealt with by maintenance within 1/2 hour. Went with the girlfriend and whilst I agree with other reviews about there being a few more groups of lads, than expected they weren’t too rowdy and didn’t make a lot of noise at 5 in the morning either.
Didn’t spend our days round the pool as it did get very busy but then it was peak season. The prices in the hotel supermarket are a rip off but 5 mins into Palma and you'll get anything you want half price. Didn’t bother with any excursions, we preferred to do our on thing to our own timetable but I suppose you can save a couple of quid if you wanted to book up. From what I saw though, the savings weren’t massive. Never stopped in the hotel on the evening so can't say what the entertainment was like.
The resort is the best I’ve ever been to and the hotel is perfectly situated right in the middle of Palma (turn left) and Magaluf (turn right). 5 mins in either direction and your there. We tended to spend day times in the more tranquil and quieter beach's/environment of Palma Nova and head into Magaluf on the night. Watch your stuff when you're on the beach's as there are a few thieves on the look out that we heard about.
$2.50 per person on the bus will get you into Palma city which is well worth a visit for a day out. (Bus stop is literally on the doorstep to the hotel) On the way back we got off a marine land and this made for what was the best day of the holiday. The dolphin/sea lion show is worth the $18 entry fee in itself (cheaper for kids) if you've never seen one before, you wont believe how intelligent both these animals are. There’s loads more to see inside, such as the sharks.
Aqualand was another brilliant day out, $18 euros in each, a bit expensive, when you consider you're then charged $3 per person for a sun lounger around the pool! Add on top the $5 for a locker, plus $2 refundable deposit, and you've spent a packet before you get in the water. Like many others, we sat on the grass for free, I just couldn’t bring myself to pay to sit down. Its well worth a visit though and they offer you a return day pass for just $6.
All in all this was the best holiday I've ever had, hotel was in the best spot possible and I would return there for that reason alone. Like me, if you've ever seen those hotels on the main strip of a busy nightlife resort and wondered why anyone would like to stay there, this may be the perfect place for you.
I like my night life but also like my sleep too. Never tried the food in the hotel so cant comment and prices apart, we loved every minute of the holiday and are going back next year. Weather wise we were blessed with non stop sunshine, sun is red-hot so beware, for all but one day which started off a bit overcast and rained for 30 minutes in the afternoon. However, 10 minutes after it stopped, we were back on the loungers under the sun, which was so hot it dried up all the rain in minutes. In truth a little bit of rain can just cool things down a little as the heat can get a bit much.
I cant recommend this place and the resort highly enough.

What a fantastic place to go with your friends for a weeks get away! With the infamous Magaluf night life only a walk away we couldn’t have asked for more!
The apartment was clean and spacious and we had a good view. Also staff and other quests were friendly and helpful.
I made a special bond with the security guard who was always there to give a helping hand.
Overall if you want a loud holiday and you are up for a laugh go to the Aquasol its a wonderful hotel.

Had I great holiday at the aqua sol apartments. Highly recommended. There was 12 19 year old Geordies on this holiday, and where abit worried that it was a family hotel. But we couldn’t be more wrong, the staff where great, apartments very clean. One bad thing was the pool was abit small but not a great concern to 12 young lads. Would just like to thank the reps Becky and Louise 4 helping us have a great holiday. They where always there when needed and had a great laugh with us.
Hotel was a short walk into Magalluf for the night life, but a walk that wasn’t a problem if we got such a nice hotel.

I went here June this year for just a week, last minute. We found Pros & Cons to this place, but overall we would visit again!
Pros: Very clean, set in lovely grounds, helpful staff, not to far away from Beach or Magaluf, clean Pool, 5 min walk to the beautiful Beach, close to Post Office (which needed for more cash to be sent over), AC in apartments, had kettle, fridge, oven etc, electric keys to rooms, can play up a little though, lots of storage in rooms, balconies are big enough.
Cons: Shop in Hotel is expensive, worth walking to Supermarket (about 20/30min), Pool isn't big enough for the amount of rooms available, you have to be an early bird to get a decent spot! But people still reserve beds over night, which isn't supposed to be allowed? Hotel Bar is a little expensive but local Bars with touts have better deals, entertainment wasn't that great, apartments are flats, with no lifts and are 5 storeys, you don't get help with luggage or prams so have someone strong with you.
We only went for a relaxing week, which we did get. We did go out at night for the Bars but all the Clubs are in Magaluf which we didn't venture into. We stayed at the nearer Bars which were just as good. The weather was good but for a day and a half it was over cast and windy, wasn’t much else to do but go shopping.
Lacoste is cheaper for men than UK but female clothing is more expensive! Did find that this place was mainly families and even though kids were back to school, a lot were here and if you don't mind, like us, kids screaming and running around you than this place is for you ha ha.
Beach gets packed early, can't remember how much sun beds cost though? Food is basically what we have here, KFC is much better abroad ha ha we are all fussy eaters but we found things to eat, some places are very expensive but next door is usually cheaper.
One thing that did cause a few problems were people coming in from a nights out causing enough noise to wake the dead, which woke up many young babies, the walls are thin and the flats echo! So if you’re ill one night, don't think you'll get much sleep ha ha.
Honestly though, this place would be ideal not at height of season as the Pool and the sunbathing area couldn't cope. We are going to go back as Aqua Sol is close enough for the Bars, Clubs, Beach etc but far away enough to get out of the rush if you needed to.
We will be going back next year x
